Perfect review! I recieved Ruby one week ago, and so far I love it. It replaced my Walrus ACS1 and my key takeways - Ruby has more headroom and more gain. It takes very well all effects in pedal board incl.drive pedals. ACS1 was good too, but it tends to "swallow" character of the OD pedals due to high compression. Overall very versatile pedal and sounds superb with my Tele and Jazzmaster ❤️
The best and most exhaustive demo on TH-cam of this pedal, all basic functions and tones available are explained; seems like I must start saving money for buying this!😂

Great demo! Are you using any noise supressing pedals? On my Ruby Brilliant channel (only) is super noisy on high gain.. not sure maybe something is wrong with the pedal...
Apparently about one year ago there was a Big Marketing push on this pedal. I'm finding this out now as I'm looking into it. All I got to say is if you want one of these pedals do your homework or you might be very disappointed
Has anyone tried using this going into a clean Fender amp without an effects loop? Ie using it like an overdrive “amp in a box” type pedal? I know that’s not it’s intended use but wondering if it would work. Thanks
I’ve been using the Dream 65 direct into my AER acoustic amp for some gigs. Without going into why that use scenario works well for me, it sounds fantastic - very much like plugging directly into my actual Fender Deluxe Reverb. I then turn it off when I want a more direct sound.
Oh boy, I found the gain sounds totally underwhelming, nothing sounded anywhere near Rory Gallagher,s screaming ac30 peeling paint off walls. Not for me at all.

The point for many is to be able to record these great tones at low to no volume. I’m currently recording a couple of projects out of my apartment. I just replaced my Iridium with the Ruby, and couldn’t be happier.
This might not be for you, but you can plug it in to a PA system. If your amp breaks down it could really save you in a pinch. You can also plug-into the front of an amp or via 4 cable method just make sure to shut the speaker emulation off on the pedal
Hahaha same dilemma here aswell except that I think the Ruby is actually more glassy, but the Dream has this lush sound, just went with a Ruby because of the drive, I feel like with the proper reverb pedal and a lowered gain on the Ruby you can match that Deluxe sound some how?

Interesting I don't necessarily think it's sparkly clean, the grit is leaking all over the place but in a nice way.
This is the best demonstration of the EQ/Cut section I’ve seen yet. Understanding the behavior of these knobs is crucial for enjoying this “amp”.

I love the glassy-ness of fenders but love the drive of a Vox. What do I do?
