Deutsch: Vom Parkplatz in Nähe Weißbach an der Alpenstraße führt unsere Wanderung zur Reiteralm zuerst am Litzlbach entlang durch eine Schlucht, in die sich viele Wasserfälle ergießen. Bei einer kleinen Holzbrücke weist uns ein Schild "Reiteralm" den Weg hinauf zur Reiteralm. Hier verlassen wir den Kiesweg und steigen einen Pfad hinauf, der nach einer Weile im Wald wieder in einen Kiesweg übergeht. Noch ein Stück durch den schönen Misch- und Schluchtenwald und wir sind bei der Reiteralm, die malerisch auf der Bergwiese liegt, eingebettet von Hügeln und Bergen. Nach einer geruhsamen Pause und kräftigen Brotzeit machen wir uns wieder auf den Weg, wobei wir nicht dieselbe Strecke zurück nehmen, sondern den Forstweg, der uns zum anderen Ende des Weißbach-Tals führt, von wo aus wir dann am Ufer des Weißbachs zurück zum Ausgangspunkt gehen.
English: Our hiking tour starts at the parking place near „Weißbach an der Alpenstraße“ and leads us along the creek „Litzlbach“ through a gorge where many waterfalls coming down. A sign „Reiteralm“ at a little wooden bridge shows us the trail up to our target. Now we leave the gravel road and climb the trail uphill which leads us to a gravel road again roughly after a mile. We hike on the gravel road through the wonderful mountain forest till we finally reach the idyllic Reiteralm which is embedded in the forest and surrounded by hills and mountains. After a good break and light meal we start our way back. We took the forest road down to the western end of the Weißbach-valley and hiked from there along the creek „Weißbach“ through the whole valley back to our starting point. Happy hiking ;)

da habt ihr eine traumhaft schöne Wanderung gemacht, wir ware am letzten Wochenende unterwegs. Ich liebe die Wasserfälle. Auf der Reiteralm war ich noch nicht.
Hi Anke, you can hike from both sides of the valley to the Reiteralm. We've hiked up from the south and came down by the side where the Weißbachfall is placed. Guess you will love this short video :) th-cam.com/video/JRl-3j50XRo/w-d-xo.html

It was taken with my old iPhone. Bought a Sony 100 XI with 4k but that one has no steady shot in 4k, what you saw in the other video about the eagles nest. Best and lightest cam was my old Sony DSC WX 350 with 1080 dpi. Because of the missing 4k steady shot I didn't take the new Sony with me, which was good somehow because the iPhone put an extra spell on the video taping.

Hi Jenny, this valley at the "Alpenstraße" is simply magically. At the other side of the valley there is my favorite waterfall here, it's by far not the biggest but the most beautiful one, the Weißbachfall is like in a fairytale world. Well, wanted to hike this and also the last weekend to the "Blaueis" on Mt. Hochkalter, he stands high next to the famous Mt. Watzmann. Just it raining dogs here, so I hope I can do it Saturday next week. Will video tape that for sure and hope you will come with me in the video :) Every blessing, Christian.

Es ist eine einfache Tour in wunderschöner Landschaft und einer Alm mit guten Kuchen ;) ... mehrere Wasserfälle sind in der Nähe, nur zu empfehlen.
