  • This time, I tried a private room seat of the bus from Kinosaki Onsen to Osaka. The cost is super cheap, only 1,000JPY (8.7USD) extra to use this room. Just sit back, relax, and enjoy the video!

      I mean, they also have one of the highest suicide rates because of all the pressure put on them to constantly work and strive for perfection. They also still slaughter dolphins and are lacking when it comes to animal rights (owl cafes, for example), not to mention the age of consent is currently 13 years old, which means they are allowed to have sex with literal children (unless they're more than 5 years older, which still means someone 18, which is a legal adult, can have sex with them), yet they censor porn. So, while there are good things about Japan (and I myself really want to visit there), they have a lot of things they need to change.

      @Slade L., yea and who would've thought a bus ride in Japan would be so popular to view! Then to see all of the things "Japanese" in signs and symbols etc., so nice but then to see @14:18 a "Coca-Cola" sign, lol. I liked the small river way with the overhanging trees and sidewalks, then the "country sides"... I think our host was right tho, that "10 minute rest stop" wasn't much of a rest. I know that more people are less likely to disembark if time is very limited or otherwise they will be hurried. Frankly, I think 30 minutes would've been a good rest for the driver and passengers to all have coffee, visit restrooms and shop briefly.

    The private rooms in buses are great solution, which I haven't seen anywhere but Japan. I wish to see them somewhen in Europe. However, it fits better for long journeys, when you spend a night in bus, not just 3 hours...
    What I've missed, is the possibility of locking the door. The best solution would be electronic cards, like in good hotels. It enables to authorize the card only for the time passenger is riding, according to his ticket, and also makes the bus staff able to open the locked door in emergency situations.
    Why locking the door? If you're going to the toilet, or if you leave the bus during the break - you can lock the door so that other passengers cannot steal something of your property. You can also lock the door inside while you'd like to keep you super private.

    • @travelgeekphotography
      @travelgeekphotography  2 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Yeah, I agree 100%. This private room is not for a short ride but for an overnight ride for sure😅

    You passed by a lot of small towns en route. I wonder what the average age is in those small towns.
    I also like that you featured a different travel route. Almost every TH-cam video is about the Tokyo/Osaka/Kyoto route, seeing the other cities in Japan is very nice.

      Hi, JohnBoyMeetsWorld! Thanks for leaving the comment. The average age in those towns are very high, may be around 40-50. It's said that Sanin area in which we started the trip has the lowest population rate in Japan. But, those places have a lot of nature and awesome Japanese countryside locations, which are worth a visit.
      Oh, you know it, Links Umeda. You've been there before??

    You make great travel video reports. It would be nice if you could tell us more about the drivers, how much they drive, how much they rest? It's a very hard and tiring job, please record more of them, ask them something, talk to them after the trip! Also write down the make and type of bus, what is the power of the engine, what is the gearbox, how many seats are there in the vehicle?
    Greetings from an old bus driver from Europe!!

    • @aiijae9884
      @aiijae9884 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      According to some previous videos, the drivers must rest for 10/15 mins for every two hours(it was on a night travel video). So if it's an eight hour route, there's gonna be 4 rests of 10-15(/+) mins every two hours.

    I shouldn't say this but what I think will happen is that some company will copy that model and they will have more rooms like that but charge $100 each. But anyway, best bus ticket ever, literally. It includes the private room, PLUS the cameras on the outside, PLUS the NREAL glasses. Probably worth $125 to be honest.

    • @mrdude88
      @mrdude88 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Why would they copy it when they can just buy a bus, it would be cheaper to do so than to build it from ground up. That’s how airline does it, and also bus company too. Also, having more private room isn’t always the best idea because very few people would pay extra for a trip with luxury and less passengers. It’s the same reason why we don’t have airline with First Class throughout the plane. This is definitely for the experience.
