Red Star won UCL, but in national team history i think next is the greatest. In the first world cup in 1930 Yugoslavia was represented only by Serbian players, and they reached semi-finals. In groups they beaten Brazilians and Bolivians and all the press called us European Brazilians .Maybe they could go all the way but Uruguay cheated with most controversial goal in history of WC, goals from offside and straight Yugoslavian(Serbian) goal disallowed . They received medals for 3rd place even thought they have not played 3rd place match with USA.
They played the 3rd match somewhere out of the stadium on a smaller gravel pitch 11v11.

Borna Knežević Zanimljivo kako od raspada Jugoslavije Srbi nemaju niti jedan uspjeh sto pokazuje koliko su igraci drugih nacionalnosti (pogotovo Hrvati) bili bitni za uspjeh jugoslavenske repke.
Najbolji trener i najbolja postava Srbije do sad... Gledam 15x ovo i opet ne mogu da poverujem sta je vidić uradio.
Treba i to na neki način razumeti prosto takvi potezi igrača u datom trenutku budu jači od njih to je ono kad ti proradi drugo ''ja'' u svesti pa te natera da napraviš glupost i grešku desi se to svakom bar jednom u životu,verujem da je imao najbolju nameru ipak je to Vidić ali kao što rekoh jače od njega u tom momentu i u žaru borbe bitno je da se nismo obrukali ...

If you put it in worlds football history context there were many more significant moments produced across all generations since there is football. For me the most unique one that will be remembered and i dont believe will hapen ever again anywhere anytime is the 1990s generations ban from fifa tournaments coused by political reasons. That was a generation full of class and substance and they, alongside football history, were robbed of a chance to show what they could do together. That could be one of the greatest football teams ever. Just take a look at some names and think about their individual careers: Suker, Mijatovic, Boban, Prosinecki, Savicevic, Jugovic, Mihajlovic, Stojkovic......
