Exactly it, the hate comes from BTS/Hybe not needing the kmedia or k-government to succeed. One thing I've learn this year is how next level holding a grudge is with kmedia/politicians, yes it's about money & control (they want both with BTS) but also once they feel you've disrespected them it's like they make it their life's mission to end you or your career. It pisses them off that BTS forced their hand of acknowledgement by circumventing S. Korea by getting huge internationally/globally. Someone just reminded me that the current President asked BTS to attend his inaugural ceremony & they turned him down, I'm sure it bugs him that BTS attended different events with the former President Moon but then refused to do so with the opposite political party, granted it could have been because of his political views but it also could've had more to do with not wanting to be a pawn in political games by either party. It may be that because in my opinion there are things they didn't like or appreciate from President Moon either, the interview he had with BTS on ABC news in Sep 2021 the guys didn't look very comfortable there to me tbh. It made me think, just my thoughts that ABC wanted to interview BTS but they wouldn't have interviewed the S.Korean President without them coming along.
My opinion on their engagement with President Moon was limited to projects that bring benefit or awareness to meaningful global topics, and nothing related to internal SK politics, so naturally they would not attend the new President's inaugural ceremony. I think it was smart of them to separate themselves from politics.
