- After the traverse attempt we took a rest day to assess the damages and recover whatever possible. Purple big toe nail, holes throughout the skin of our fingers, a bum knee, a cheese grated puffy, and cuticles so shredded that I had to zip up my sleeping bag using the meat of my palm. So I tossed out all of my aspirational To-Dos and went for the other 50 Classic Climb in the area. Fortunately two homies from camp were stoked on the long moderate and were down for the party of three shenanigans. This turned out to be exactly what our souls were needing, my body on the other hand....
Love it! Always with the best adventures 👌
Nice, this ones one’s on my list for summer 2025
Heck yeah! It’s a classic
Thanks for sharing a great adventure with us! I was on Pingora twice, in ‘89 (fail, but great climbing) & ‘96 (summit), but on the easier South Face/K cracks. Had two busted ribs when we hiked (another story!) in, anyhow, great video, you really did a great work portraying the cracks & the views from the beautiful granitic marvels of the Winds.
Such a fun vid. Looks like you are in a knife fight in a phone booth on the crux. Love, love, love the vid. Did the same route with a Brit that had done the Eiger 46 years ago. all I remember was the summit and getting off route at the start.
Cute Stoat / Ermine in the opening sequence. Buddies and I saw one and got some nice stills during trip to Kodiak, AK about a week ago.
I was wondering what it was called! Thanks!
@@grahmtheoverstoker buddy told me (and then Google showed me) that they turn all white in the winter. Photos got me epic, "Awwww..."s from my wife when I got home.
What’s you mic situation on the gopro? You always come through crystal clear.
I’m glad you think so! I’m currently using the GoPro hero 7. These GoPros are supposed to be waterproof without a case so I just use a frame case so the mic is open to the air and then I have a wind sock type foam cover I put over the top of that. Someone here suggested it and I think it’s helped a lot with the wind noise
Additionally I try to edit out the 100 times the GoPro hits the wall or rope 🤣
Looks adventure 5.8 hard
Is that one of those Unicore ropes? Great video
Thanks! This is what we used. I don’t think it’s Unicore www.backcountry.com/edelrid-eagle-light-protect-pro-dry-9.5mm?CMP_SKU=ELRC06N&MER=0406&skid=ELRC06N-NEPINEGR-S70M&mr:device=m&mr:adType=plaonline&:G%7Cs:BC%7Cct:Shopping%7Cct2:pmax%7Cg:xx%7Cc1:Climb%7Cc2:xx%7Cb:xx%7Cmt:xx&ELRC06N-NEPINEGR-S70M_mca-7811_sig-Cj0KCQjw3bm3BhDJARIsAKnHoVUIdd3IUpOOXGrfMVkqW9iPTGmSmR5BLkq-ivkqXsJS9Twuasd6rgIaAn6jEALw_wcB&gad_source=1&gclsrc=aw.ds
Classic example of a stock. Granite rock.

Fun.
