Love your video. So easy to follow, I could hear you because you are not playing music on the background. I am 79, losing my hearing and vision but will keep crocheting and learning until I can't see anymore. Your channel has just been bumped up to my #1 channel for tutorials. Thank you so much and I will be looking forward to more fresh ideas.
I wish that I could upload pictures in the comments. So many good things to say! I like that the video is literally step by step, no skipping or "I'll meet you back here". If you follow along with the poster, you'll have exactly what they have. I made a few using #4 size red heart yarn and 5.5 mm hook. And then I made a few by doubling up the #4 yarn and used a 8.00 mm hook. The octopus ends up being about 2/3 bigger, but is still the same pattern. When I doubled my strands, I still only used 1/2 of a 236 yd skein, so you can get multiple octopi from just one skein. Thanks so much for the care and attention you've put into making this video. It's saved into my TH-cam library and I use it whenever I want to make an octopus.
Thank you so much for the comment! I have a Facebook group. It's not big at all but I will see the photos if you want to upload them. It's the same name as my channel
Since I discovered this tutorial I've made 5 octopuses. Thank you so much. I have so much confidence in my abilities now. You're very informative and easy to understand. I'm gonna try my hand at making a pig and giraffe next.
This was my first time crocheting anything but blankets! Thank you for an amazing tutorial! So easy to follow! I finished mine in an evening! I would love to see a cat and dog one! :)
I ordered a bulky 6 yarn online and got a bright blue vs the teal I was expecting. Trying to figure out what to do with it, so glad I found your video! I’m going to try making one of these for my little girl!
I made a beautiful octopus with this pattern! Thank you! I made a little satchel of dried flowers and stuffed his head with it, and I can't stop sniffing him! Thank you!
Thank you!! I was trying, any struggling, to make another pattern. Your video instructions were awesome. I was only like 10 rows into the bad pattern in the amount of time I finished yours! Will definitely share this video.
This pattern is great I've made 10 octopuses so far my five year old who is on the autism spectrum calls this his sea monster I made him a teal one and a variegated one he said the teal one needs angry eyebrows lol. I'm now moving on to another pattern I think I'll do the whale next thank you for your video
Thank you for your fantastic tutorial, I have made an eye octopus and 5 jellyfish following your patterns. Your tutorial is easy to follow, taking us through every step, thank you 😊
At the end of round 19 I have 10 stitches. You said for round 20 to do two together three times but that would only be dealing with six stitches so there would be four left over. Is it possible you meant to say five times? Or did I mess up and there should have only been six stitches at the end of round 19? Or, should I just leave four stitches undone?
I am making one for my cousin she wants to put it in her car on her stick shift so she wants the bottom open how many rows do u recommend I do since I won’t be closing the bottom?
Watch beginner videos on how to do each stitch: chain stitch, slip stitch, single crochet, half double crochet, and single crochet two together, are the stitches she used.

I’m also wondering the same thing!
Everything was perfect till that moment, just didn’t know where I went wrong?
Does anyone have an answer for this?

Bedankt voor de reactie.. ik hoop dat dit correct vertaald is
How many rows to crochet 🧶 for the head?please&thank you
Always put the face on before stuffing. 2 together is called a decrease!
30:50 bookmark for starting the tentacles :)
So so cute. I would love to see this made with a lovey........ Pretty please x
Hello .ive only made blankets and shawls. If i want to make my octopus bigger can i just use bulky yarn and large hook?
Yes. No need to adjust the pattern or anything. The bulky yarn and larger hook will make it bigger. Hopefully this helped 😄
Could you give a pattern for a medium one?
If you would like to make a larger one, just use bulky yarn and a larger hook. You can use this same pattern
❤❤❤❤❤ love this
Do you have the written instructions for this? Thanks!
What size crochet hook?
5.5mm
Cant seem to get the magic circle 😢

Just finished one. The legs came out curly. It's cute, though.
is there a specific kind of glue to use of the eyes?
Aleene's original fabric fusion
@@kittensandcrochet Thanks!
cute. I want to make a lovey with this pattern. Thanks
I tried to make a jellyfish but it looked like it should've been an octopus so I changed it
Nice pattern, but I would be concerned with just gluing in the eyes. There is the potential they can come lose and kids swallow them.
You can use yarn instead if you want.
I use safety eyes and melt the backing so it's more secure
So cute💞❤️
I want to make this but I dont understand anything TvT
En español pofa
Ummm i have never done this before so all I see is you swinging a hook around
Slow down the play back speed. 🙂

HELLO SISTER
