This minigame feels like a cheat code once you reach rank 1 XD every time you complete a shareholder meeting Ichiban gets 3 mil yen. Trivialises everything else in the game
This is a really hard concept to explain without telling viewers exactly what they need to do step by step. You did a great job, as I move through the minigame I rewatch the video and it starts to make more and more sense. If you watched this video and are still confused, just dive in. You can always back out of the management minigame and drop a hard save at Eri's desk before shareholder meetings or making significant expenditures to your business when in doubt.

I barely just discovered these yakuza games and at first i HATED this management thing! But then i started to figure it out and it became a personal challenge for me to succeed lol. Im currently rank 1 but my businesses are not in blue yet, thats why i came here looking for insight to turn my businesses blue but no luck with this video. I did take out loans in the beginning so I could grow faster & the gambles paid off. Also, I disagree with not investing in properties.... you just have to listen to Ichiban's "hunch" sometimes. If he says it sounds like a scam i dont invest, if he's willing to risk it, i invest, if he doesnt give an opinion I risk it (50/50). After a while you will remember which investments failed and which succeeded so you can turn down or approve investments easily since they are recycled.
And the people on the internet that have lied about the false tips to this also refuse to mention that Eri scolds you by dropping your rank! So yes rank drop is a fact and no one on the internet mentions that.
I was beginning to absolutely love this game until this part right here. I think they need to have options on if people wanna go through this or not instead of just making it a part of the game experience. Not everyone wants to get into this lol

I’d say just take it slow. You’ll naturally improve. The hardest part is early on up to the first shareholder meeting. After that point you’ll not have a problem and the money it gets you will help you through the rest of the main game. Fantastic mini game. Love it.
I am at Rank #3 and seems easy even with only the rare employees. I think the share hold part is super important, I am so lucky to have the kid that has 600 persuasion from one of the side-story. Him, Grandma and Chicken hard carry.
Been playing Like a Dragon and just started the business minigame. Successfully beat my first share holder meeting. Thank you for this guide. It was invaluable in helping me make sense of some of the mechanics. On a related note, thank you in general for your guides to the Yakuza games. Ive been plowing through them and they have been quite helpful.
At first I thought it was easy Then it got normal Then it got hard Then I got in dept Then I somehow paid the bank load by selling everything and leaving only my 2 managers guys It's very possible to get your ass out of the dept or if you lose income Just get 4 people and 4 properties and it worked perfectly for me

This was the first Yakuza game that I've played, I honestly love it so far, but this business management shit is doing my head in, the least they could've done is make it optional.
It is optional; you just won't unlock one playable character. Unfortunately, I feel this video makes it seem more complicated than it should; you can coast your way through it. Knowing just the things I share here should be enough.
Ichiban Confections is the only thing i hate about this game, And not to mention the people on the internet that make false tips about Ichiban Confections and falsely saying you can hire just as manager managers as you want when that is bullshit as it only let's you hire 10 people as managers.
Nah dog shit easy once you figure it out. First thing you need to do is focus on Ichihan Confections and max that out. Don't hire employees or anything keep the 3 OG you got. You be making money real quick like 3 million yen per run.
I wish there was a video on how to get back from wrecking the businesses by taking another loan and making a mistake on hiring the new higher ranked people thinking it would earn you more money.
Why the hell did you NOT talk about the weakness system for the shareholder meetings?! It's KEY to opening up the shareholders for damage (I can't believe what i'm typing right now looking at it all again) I noticed in the footage you used you wasted a lot of time breaking them down one shield at a time when hitting them with their weakness breaks all 3 shields at once.

Is it possible to get yourself into a hole that you can't get out of in the business simulation? I'm only making 800K per business day, and it's two quarters until Ogata demands results. Polygon claims that you can clear 3 mill with the starting employees and resources just by leveling up the senbei shop as much as possible, but that has not been my experience.
Upgrade your properties. Ichiban Confections alone should be bringing in like 3 million, then the others are like 1 million. Eventually you're just pressing next next next, beating the share holder meeting and raking in 10's of millions.
Wait Loans are super important in the Top 20 and Top 50! You should always get one by then and buy the Cat business which pays so smoothly back. Trust me, it helps so much especially when you can buy adds that basically pays double the loan. BTW only get the Bank! 10 million one has been the most helpful imo. Rn I am earning 192k per business week and I want to see how to improve that with specific employees as that’s they difficult part to do when trying to finish this game mode by Chapter 7-10.
only do loans when you get a commercial! than bam you can pay it back immediately, if you get to big of a loan that you cant pay back or font have enough properties to cover your loan your going to end up losing everything

One of the things that's unfortunate about TH-cam is the inability to upload revised videos to replace the previous. @Chill Kaiju Clan 🤭 u just need to listen to Ichiban's cues when u get an investment proposal! Its worked for me thus far. There's a very high risk investment of 442,000,000, on that one I think Ichiban wasn't too sure, but I took the risk anyhow and it paid off! (The investment is from a npc character u find in the streets). The supermarket investment is no good. The vacation property is good as well as the arcade investment if I remember correctly. 😀

Charisma is how much damage they deal with, and Tenacity is how much “health” they have during battle. Tenacity might not be as critical for you to pay attention to, as once you understand the system, you're not as likely to take damage. my thing is how do you get your property where when you run the "open for business" minigame your running through 3 stacks on each business instead of just one. I see you got cats servant up to 122M yen.. was that a combination of upgrades as well as assigning certain employees?

That's true - in my experience I had before with those, I would fail every single time. Then a friend suggested that I just go for it and I made a killing. Maybe better advice for this is not to invest until you have so much that it's a trivial amount of money to lose.
I believe that you should be able to pay it off. I don't know that you can ever be so far behind in the minigame that you can't catch up - but feel free to swing by my stream on Sunday if you're still having trouble, and I'll do my best to answer any questions.
I’m annoyed that there wasn’t a proper hold my hand walkthrough for the shareholders meeting so i at least knew what a good meeting looked like. The game had been very good at this up to this point so I don’t get why they wouldn’t do something for a thing as complicated is running a business.
The one thing I can't figure out and that no guide covers, is, am I supposed to put people who match colors with the according business? Eri is a red unit, should I put her in a red property? Does that actually matter at all?
I just read your comment again. I don't believe it matters, just their base stats make a difference. Employee colors come into play during the shareholder meetings, but I don't know that they matter at all as management of particular properties.
@@ChillKaijuClan But each employee has 2 colors, the share holder color and the business color. So eri is a blue share holder color, but red business. There must be a reason for those.
@@Animedingo I see now, yes you're right. If you place someone in a management position with an icon that matches their type, say a character with a controller, for a property with a controller, then their blue bars will get a boost, an added section of white.

@@Animedingo I'm wrong again. Yes, it appears if employees level up in a business they have experience in, i.e. matching color, they can get more substantial boosts. It appears that the ranking of the employee, from SR to SSR makes a difference in that regard.

You might try experimenting a little so you can get the feel of it. After a while, it might some of the advice in the video might start to make sense. Plenty of players have been able to complete the minigame, only guessing about what to do.
I wish i didn't have to do this to get Eri. I really don't like this mini game. It's boring af and I would rather have any other kind. Heres a question I had as someone starting on the business minigame. Lets say I wanted to keep things simple for myself. By sticking with just Ichiban Confections for a while. Just leveling it up and leveling up my starting employees. Than once i feel my profits are guranteed, moving on to buy more properties at my lesiure. Is such an approach viable in this minigame?
That's what this game is about. However: You cannot sell Ichiban Confectionery or upgrade it past it's max potential because Nick is right: The shop is easy to find, but too darn smsll
You must reach shareholder rank 100 and then talk to her at the Survive Bar. Rank 100 is relatively early in the minigame progression, so it doesn't take that long.
It makes it consistent that you’ll make the target profit every time or more. If there’s any bars in red you’ll more than likely make less than what’s targeted
I don't understand why my expected profits/projected results are so bad, like it's wayyyy negative. How do I get a positive projected amount? I'm tryna make money but I'm losing
Hey Trevor, one thing you might keep in mind is you don't actually have to have 3 employees for every business, it will continue to operate with 1. Another thing to check on is upgrades, can you improve the business on its own, so all the product, service, and notability bars are blue? If after you're in the green on every business, the shareholders are still displeased with the amount you brought in, don't beat yourself up too much. They're hard to please.
If this got me money outside the mini game to buy the overpriced weapons and armor I would be happy to go through all this.. but it doesn't seem worth it past recruiting Eri.
Well, if you do complete it, you will get an easy 3 million yen per additional round if you decide to play in the future. Could be an easy way to build up cash if you rather do that than save-scumming casino wins.

I believe you can complete the main story without doing it, though there is a playable character unlocked by doing it and it impacts other parts of your experience.
i was playing the game steadily, then got to some locked room where i could not leave, could not do anything, only 5 employees, always ranked wrong, no exit of the single page. no exit of the room, just locked up the game and wasted entire game with this trap. what a waste. Kept getting 'not arranged employees optimal" and was an endless loop. Never buy or play this game. this ruins it.

@@minakohiashi8882 Yes most important here is the Shareholder meeting and you should put the lowest command employees as much as possible remember this Green(money)>Blue(building)>Red(employee)>Green vice versa their shield will break in one shot dont spam attack if the shareholder is Blue(building) only attack her/him with Green(money) may differ on their shield so kept that in mind, also finish substory 18 and get Hanayama and put him in the board meeting and assign him solo in assembly hall 1 property, for the red mark in property even you assign someone still red dont worry just upgrade it to become blue.
The strategy described in that section was the exact one that carried me through to the end of the minigame. I believe if other players do the same, and practice their timings, they should successfully pass it as well. So, I don't know why you feel it's "misleading." If there are other details or strategies you feel I should mention, let me know and I will add notes or a pinned comment.

I try to write about this, but my english is bad, so i suggest to check out Rozalin or the Video Game Databank video guide about Shareholders Meeting. First you must use the your teammate color (green, red and blue) counter the enemys argument (colored text bubble). Red breaks green, green breaks blue, blue breaks red bubble. Icon about this is lies in the left bottom corner. So you need all color in the team. Omlette is good blue fighter, the Nanny is good green fighter, a teammate with red color and minimal actionpoint (brown number) is needed. If the argument bubble is broken, you can damage the opponent, but the opponent color is important again. A teammate with the needed color make combo modifier and deal big damage. In the team you must have a Damage Dealer worker with the highest Charisma stat to attack in this phase. You can pause the game with options, to think about your next move. If you use this rules, you NEVER take any damage and deal with the meeting 100%.

I am at Rank #3 and seems easy even with only the rare employees. I think the share hold part is super important, I am so lucky to have the kid that has 600 persuasion from one of the side-story. Him, Grandma and Chicken hard carry.

At first I thought it was easy
Then it got normal
Then it got hard
Then I got in dept
Then I somehow paid the bank load by selling everything and leaving only my 2 managers guys
It's very possible to get your ass out of the dept or if you lose income
Just get 4 people and 4 properties and it worked perfectly for me

I spent countless hours and reloading my save trying to figure out how this game mode works but I kept going in the red every time i open for business. Managed to reach rank 100 after watching this guide 👍

This was the first Yakuza game that I've played, I honestly love it so far, but this business management shit is doing my head in, the least they could've done is make it optional.
It is optional; you just won't unlock one playable character. Unfortunately, I feel this video makes it seem more complicated than it should; you can coast your way through it. Knowing just the things I share here should be enough.
Ichiban Confections is the only thing i hate about this game, And not to mention the people on the internet that make false tips about Ichiban Confections and falsely saying you can hire just as manager managers as you want when that is bullshit as it only let's you hire 10 people as managers.
Nah dog shit easy once you figure it out. First thing you need to do is focus on Ichihan Confections and max that out. Don't hire employees or anything keep the 3 OG you got. You be making money real quick like 3 million yen per run.

I wish there was a video on how to get back from wrecking the businesses by taking another loan and making a mistake on hiring the new higher ranked people thinking it would earn you more money.
Why the hell did you NOT talk about the weakness system for the shareholder meetings?! It's KEY to opening up the shareholders for damage (I can't believe what i'm typing right now looking at it all again)
I noticed in the footage you used you wasted a lot of time breaking them down one shield at a time when hitting them with their weakness breaks all 3 shields at once.

Is it possible to get yourself into a hole that you can't get out of in the business simulation? I'm only making 800K per business day, and it's two quarters until Ogata demands results. Polygon claims that you can clear 3 mill with the starting employees and resources just by leveling up the senbei shop as much as possible, but that has not been my experience.
Upgrade your properties. Ichiban Confections alone should be bringing in like 3 million, then the others are like 1 million. Eventually you're just pressing next next next, beating the share holder meeting and raking in 10's of millions.
Wait Loans are super important in the Top 20 and Top 50! You should always get one by then and buy the Cat business which pays so smoothly back. Trust me, it helps so much especially when you can buy adds that basically pays double the loan.
BTW only get the Bank! 10 million one has been the most helpful imo. Rn I am earning 192k per business week and I want to see how to improve that with specific employees as that’s they difficult part to do when trying to finish this game mode by Chapter 7-10.
only do loans when you get a commercial! than bam you can pay it back immediately, if you get to big of a loan that you cant pay back or font have enough properties to cover your loan your going to end up losing everything

@@NekoValtz Some of the items I might have also mentioned are found in the pinned comment. One of the things that's unfortunate about TH-cam is the inability to upload revised videos to replace the previous. I could consider creating updated guides in the future, and for some of my videos I will probably have to, but I will probably not revisit this minigame. The topic has started to dominate my whole channel.
The 32 million investment will always from my experience work out well so I’d recommend doing it everytime especially at the very start.

@Chill Kaiju Clan 🤭 u just need to listen to Ichiban's cues when u get an investment proposal! Its worked for me thus far. There's a very high risk investment of 442,000,000, on that one I think Ichiban wasn't too sure, but I took the risk anyhow and it paid off! (The investment is from a npc character u find in the streets). The supermarket investment is no good. The vacation property is good as well as the arcade investment if I remember correctly. 😀

What's the difference between Tenacity and Charisma? What do they do in the shareholder meetings?
Charisma is how much damage they deal with, and Tenacity is how much “health” they have during battle. Tenacity might not be as critical for you to pay attention to, as once you understand the system, you're not as likely to take damage. my thing is how do you get your property where when you run the "open for business" minigame your running through 3 stacks on each business instead of just one. I see you got cats servant up to 122M yen.. was that a combination of upgrades as well as assigning certain employees?
I believe that's when you pay for advertising. For the next few sessions, you'll see bigger piles of cash on the track when you open.

You get a smaller stack when your business make above 40k and those giant stacks mainly apear when you get a commercials slots

some of the investment opportunities are ads and you make just over double what you normally would for a few runs.
That's true - in my experience I had before with those, I would fail every single time. Then a friend suggested that I just go for it and I made a killing. Maybe better advice for this is not to invest until you have so much that it's a trivial amount of money to lose.

I just read your comment again. I don't believe it matters, just their base stats make a difference. Employee colors come into play during the shareholder meetings, but I don't know that they matter at all as management of particular properties.
@@ChillKaijuClan But each employee has 2 colors, the share holder color and the business color.
So eri is a blue share holder color, but red business. There must be a reason for those.
@@Animedingo I see now, yes you're right. If you place someone in a management position with an icon that matches their type, say a character with a controller, for a property with a controller, then their blue bars will get a boost, an added section of white.

@@Animedingo I'm wrong again. Yes, it appears if employees level up in a business they have experience in, i.e. matching color, they can get more substantial boosts. It appears that the ranking of the employee, from SR to SSR makes a difference in that regard.

You might try experimenting a little so you can get the feel of it. After a while, it might some of the advice in the video might start to make sense. Plenty of players have been able to complete the minigame, only guessing about what to do.

Heres a question I had as someone starting on the business minigame. Lets say I wanted to keep things simple for myself. By sticking with just Ichiban Confections for a while. Just leveling it up and leveling up my starting employees. Than once i feel my profits are guranteed, moving on to buy more properties at my lesiure. Is such an approach viable in this minigame?

You must reach shareholder rank 100 and then talk to her at the Survive Bar. Rank 100 is relatively early in the minigame progression, so it doesn't take that long.

Hey Trevor, one thing you might keep in mind is you don't actually have to have 3 employees for every business, it will continue to operate with 1. Another thing to check on is upgrades, can you improve the business on its own, so all the product, service, and notability bars are blue?
If after you're in the green on every business, the shareholders are still displeased with the amount you brought in, don't beat yourself up too much. They're hard to please.

Well, if you do complete it, you will get an easy 3 million yen per additional round if you decide to play in the future. Could be an easy way to build up cash if you rather do that than save-scumming casino wins.

I believe you can complete the main story without doing it, though there is a playable character unlocked by doing it and it impacts other parts of your experience.
i was playing the game steadily, then got to some locked room where i could not leave, could not do anything, only 5 employees, always ranked wrong, no exit of the single page. no exit of the room, just locked up the game and wasted entire game with this trap. what a waste. Kept getting 'not arranged employees optimal" and was an endless loop.
Never buy or play this game. this ruins it.

@@minakohiashi8882 Yes most important here is the Shareholder meeting and you should put the lowest command employees as much as possible remember this Green(money)>Blue(building)>Red(employee)>Green vice versa their shield will break in one shot dont spam attack if the shareholder is Blue(building) only attack her/him with Green(money) may differ on their shield so kept that in mind, also finish substory 18 and get Hanayama and put him in the board meeting and assign him solo in assembly hall 1 property, for the red mark in property even you assign someone still red dont worry just upgrade it to become blue.
It's nice to get 32 mill for investing 5 I got a return once for 3 different investments.
The Shareholder section is just bad and misleading, search an other guide for this part.
The strategy described in that section was the exact one that carried me through to the end of the minigame. I believe if other players do the same, and practice their timings, they should successfully pass it as well.

@@ChillKaijuClan You don't talk about the basics mechanics of the minigame, and i think this is misleading. I try to write about this, but my english is bad, so i suggest to check out Rozalin or the Video Game Databank video guide about Shareholders Meeting.
First you must use the your teammate color (green, red and blue) counter the enemys argument (colored text bubble). Red breaks green, green breaks blue, blue breaks red bubble. Icon about this is lies in the left bottom corner. So you need all color in the team. Omlette is good blue fighter, the Nanny is good green fighter, a teammate with red color and minimal actionpoint (brown number) is needed.
If the argument bubble is broken, you can damage the opponent, but the opponent color is important again. A teammate with the needed color make combo modifier and deal big damage. In the team you must have a Damage Dealer worker with the highest Charisma stat to attack in this phase.
You can pause the game with options, to think about your next move.
If you use this rules, you NEVER take any damage and deal with the meeting 100%.
