    Hi Lauren! Great tut. Thanks sew much. Basting removal tip: clip each end of bobbin thread (and the middle Stitch if needed), pull thread end to start, pull thread ends off with any tape (scotch, duck, etc) - press, pull n gone! This is an “old school” tailoring trick. Works like a charm. Love all your vids. Thanks.

    Thanks for the video tutorial. I have made several Heidi bags already but this is still helpful. I love to see different techniques. I love how you used leather for the back panel and different interfacing. Canvas lining? I will have to try that in the future. Thanks again. 😊

    Before turning I usually hit it with some steam just to warm it up which seems to relax the fabric a bit making it easier to turn. Also, I use an old large wooden crochet hook to poke out my corners. Love this pattern! Thanks

    Suggest using a plastic or metal crochet hook to push out the corners. Then no sharp cutting points to worry about .

    Awesome video! Any tips on using nylon zippers by the yard for the main bag closure? Since I won’t have the excess zipper tape at the ends to veer off the edge should I open the tape and veer a few of the teeth off the edge?

      Yes! I would use a zipper tab on one side and turn the tape on the other side!

    Hello 👋 I've downloaded the pdf pattern for this clutch. Went on TH-cam looking for a tutorial on how to make this and came across your video tutorial after seeing many more. I selected your tutorial because it gave me direct visual instructions. Thank you for your amazing video tutorial! Question: do you carry the tag you applied to your bag front? If you don't carry it in your shop, can you please direct me to where I can order these? Thank you for your prompt response and your beautiful tutorial. Can't wait to put my pattern together. 👍🙌💖😘🤗🌹

    HI Lauren is the deco villa lite fusible and do you find that it wrinkles when you birth the bag

    • @LaurenMormino
      @LaurenMormino  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      When probably fused it does get wrinkles when turning but you can press them out. Or iron your ironing board and press the item against it to release the wrinkles!

  • @janetmcadamsbailey1874

    chances are the lining made it a little stiffer and made the top snap area poof out more than if you used a softer liner.

      Waterproof canvas and faux leather are quite different. I use linen cotton canvas quite often for my bags :)

    i got completely lost. you did not follow the steps in the pattern so when i would go back to refer to it, nothing made any sense. when do we deal with the back pocket lining? My template came out with wrong sizes too. nothing matched up right when i turned it inside out. I broke a needle... recommending a zipper foot and changing out feet would have helped... ugh. i hate this pattern and the tutorial was missing so many steps. ... you dont instruct what sides to place in which direction when dealing with the main purse lining. yours look the same back and front and since you didnt use interwoven interfacing on those i had no idea what you were doing.
