nope that's not what happened since they are not in control of their bodies the darkness/glitch is the one that is controlling their bodies and is torturing them making them suffer and forcing them to see what the darkness/glitch is doing using their bodies without being able to do anything since the darkness is a hivemind virus which is the reason why it can control infinites bodies and infinites minds/brains and all the infected characters/the glitch monsters are literally just the darkness/glitch controlling their bodies also the darkness/glitch isn't mindless/brainless and spiritless and soulless. It's intentionally doing this, it's intentionally destroying the whole fiction and turning fictional characters into glitch monsters. that's why all the infected characters/the glitch monsters all have massive smiles on their faces.
