This car is an insane daily. In love with mine. Have a handful of issues I had to fix like a rattling targa top, replaced the shifter with MGW, and small stuff but I got a 2017+ model so I have the additional radiator and taller supercharger bricks+lid that 15/16 didn’t get. Paid $57k in 2024. Mods already arrived for it too. Good vid!
Also great job being objective with the car. It’s not perfect but it’s a riot and very serviceable. Most issues are easily fixable or don’t cost an arm and a leg. The biggest flaw is the DOD hardware but even that can be removed + added power for only $4k
Also, you do not have to place the key fob into the slot in order to use the push button start. And you refer to the dashboard as the infotainment system. The infotainment system is the screen to the right of the dash that contains the infotainment stuff. And, clutch replacement sooner then you might think? I'm over 70,000 miles on my original clutch, with plenty of life left.

Downshifts are much more faster in auto transmission than in PDK from Porsche but the problem is with upshifts. It can be fixed with TCM module update and lighter torque converter with flex plate
I love mine i have a m7 I daily it and it’s so comfortable and fun when you want to goof off, but I haven’t heard any of the clutch related things you talk about

My 2017 3LZZ06 manual is absolutely phenomenal.I did full p p f x pipe ported throttle body air intake that's it . This car is sooooo bad ass and I absolutely love not hearing the supercharger wine like the dodges . I perfer na sounding . It's true I giggle when I drive it .
You are right the Z06 sounds better than those Dodges to me. There is some kind of shreaking howl that the engine/intake/exhaust has... it's just beautiful
I would agree it’s a nice touch for the sound but for me I love the sound of the turbo spool so I have the best of both worlds a 24 GT and my 18 STI now I would love a vette but I have two kids so I can’t get one yet.
Its a fucking race car, who cares about clutch sounds. Go drive a true track car and a drag car, those clutches chatter if you dont ride them properly. And manuals are better than autos, they show whose the better driver, not who rides on D all day!
May, 2023 I bought a 2016 Z06, 3LZ, convertible, A8, in Daytona Sunrise Orange Metallic, with Kalahari interior. It is a beast. I have owned two C4s, a 1988 Z51 manual, and a 1991 ZR-1 manual. I like rowing the gears, but as I've aged I'm more suited to the faster automatic. Thanks for the video!
Don’t sit at a light in first gear just adding to the wear of the clutch for no reason put it in first when you see other light turn yellow or yours green
So, the supercharger looks like it is lower in the front and curves up at the back. If that is the case, this is not a 2107, but a 2016. The 2017 supercharger was the same height from front to back.
For $80000? I can literally build a Mustang that's faster for half that price. Really nice car but you can definitely build a car that's way faster for a lot less.

Outlets like Car and Driver beat the hell out of these cars in their testing, they show the transmissions and clutches no mercy, so they tend to be a good benchmark of what cars can do when you don't give a shit about repairs. So, silly anecdotes about beating randos on the street is more a discussion about you and the other guy than the two cars.

The c7 looks so much better than the current generation. That even applies to the z06.
c8 looks like an downgrade, c7 is way better if you just talk about design

When I bought my 2018 Z51, there was one newer (2019) and cheaper but it was auto, so I picked the 2018 and more expensive because it was a stick.
