absolutely beautiful. i can't keep up with these companies though....you buy a saltiga for 1000 bucks. a few years later, they release a new one and discontinue parts production for the previous model 5 years later...the Japanese companies, not just for fishing, are all so good at this so the consumers can keep spending money...

Agreed! Luckily though this small Saltigas don't replace the 2020 model, just add on. Plus, if you get your reel serviced at the end of the time where spares are still available and maybe ask around which parts tend to need replacement (line roller is always a good idea) and buy those you should be able to get 10-15 years out of your reel (or even longer, you can also use other ferro fluids for the mag seals then, just keep in mind they need to be replaced every 9-12 months, while the Daiwa stuff lasts around five years) unless you fish pretty much daily and catch big fish all the time and then the reel won't last more than five years anyway

@@djmocok lol you are seriously not comparing the technology of phones and computers to fishing reels lol...the upgrades of processors, memories and even graphic cards are significant...and at times revolutionary...not long ago we used to store memories on floppy discs and flash drives..now there are foldable phones, finger print recognitions, phones with insane MP cameras...how sigificant of an upgrade is offered really between the previous generation stella and saltigas and the new ones?....unless one day they manufacture reels with a new corrosion resistant metal they discovered that virutally weighs nothing and has the sturdiness to last decades....none of these upgrades are revolutionary....the productions of newer models and termination of service for the previous models is to simply preserve a steady flow of revenue... nothing shouts innovation
