- Hi loves! I finally filmed my Registered Nurse / work appropriate makeup look! This is the exact makeup routine that I use when I am getting ready for work VERY early in the morning! It's a quick makeup tutorial that incorporates drugstore makeup and also higher end items and only takes me about 10-15 minutes to complete. Hope you enjoy!

I’m an OT student, I wore a beat face to practicum pretty often. I find that having a beat face makes me feel just as good about the day as an extra 30 minutes of sleep would’ve done, the little confidence boost keeps me going!
That's how I feel with my makeup it gives me that extra confidence and be more present around others not just fade away in the back ground, and I find when I have my makeup on and my hair done plus I'm a no make up makeup look girl but when you look like you slept 8 hrs and your hair is neat eyes look rested and cheeks defined it's a great feeling it gives that extra boost especially when your tired and over everything . A little makeup confidence is key and good products that last longer periods of time match my skintone and affordable I'm always on the hunt for. I'm definitely getting the nyx pencil I'm sick of paying $25 for anastasia pencil and all I want is to pencil hairs in.

I'm an COTA and I have to wear uniform so I take advantage of having a beautiful look whether light or full beat! My patients get concerned on no makeup days usually slept too long!!!😖😝
Same girl, same! As an RN, I feel that having a beat face and “mah hurr did” every day makes a HUGE difference in my level of confidence and ability to both bond more readily with my patients and their families (L&D/NICU RN x 21 years), and also, gives me a little extra BOOST of feel good strength when I might need to *ackhem* “educate” a provider about my point of view😂...
I'm also an RN and I wake up at 4 am to beat my face! I have to be there at 530am and it takes me about 45 minutes to an hour. It's my time to get my mind together for the day. I feel like I have my life more together when I look good!
I agree!! At first I loved getting my extra sleep in but it makes such a difference taking the time to beat my face and get my mind mentally prepared for the day
I completely agree! People ask me why I wake up early to do makeup and then a long ass commute, but I feel more awake and my mind is more in order than when I used to rush out the house. Ive noticed a massive difference.

Alex Starks the only one who sees doing their makeup as having low self esteem here is you, projecting much?? I’m sure she knows she’s STUNNING even without makeup. I love myself with makeup and without. Makeup is an art and yes CAN boost confidence but it doesn’t mean someone is insecure if they want to beat their face to the gods.
Not me, I love my sleep. In the field for 19 years, at my age I don't do beat face, I focus on skincare, and internal care.I get ready in 30 to 40 minutes, which includes drinking tea, making a smoothie, and chilling before leaving out the door. 😴😴😴 it's a beautiful thing.

I always did my makeup after one of my patients told me “You look so nice! Some nurses look they haven’t showered in weeks.” That REALLY stuck with me since then 😂😂😂

I am a doctor and I agree that patients pay attention on how we present ourselves. They very frequently comment on the appearance of the staff. I prefer to sacrifice a bit of sleep in order to do my make up. It's my personal mediation time and looking and feeling put together boosts my confidence and my mood.

I am an RN and I am also in nurse practitioner school; so I would rather study or sleep the extra hour. I apply sunscreen on my face and lip gloss on my lips. I then draw in my eyebrows. This all takes 10 seconds and I am out to work and school.
I work at a TV station, so I wake up at 4am too! I come into work with my little face on, wig laid and people always wonder why?! But when I leave work, I always have plans 😂 I like to be ready for anything.

I am an RN.I would rather be late for work than go with a bare face.I find that i feel so good about myself and the day goes quicker than usual.I am also totally confident in my usual face when I do not have makeup.I just prefer to be extra beat for work.

@@cristinab4119 Like I said,it is not a confidence issue.It is a preference.I am very very beautiful without makeup on too 😀.Just because I prefer being late for work whilst doing my makeup does not mean that I am not confident without it on.I dont know about you,but not everyone wears makeup for confidence.
I'm an RN too and it takes me 45 minutes. I have been practicing to lower my time and this video really helped. I think the problem is I still try to do my skincare in the morning.

cierra stevenson I’m an RN student and I do my skincare in the morning, but I don’t do as many steps as I do at night. In the morning, I only do an eye cream, vitamin C and a moisturizer with sunscreen (I’m black and use neutrogena’s chemical sunscreen). I save the majority of my skincare to the night. My husband has problem skin and follows the same steps as I do; and his skin has gotten better with my skincare routine.
cierra stevenson also, maybe decreasing the amount of steps for a no-makeup makeup look would help. I do brows, mascara, concealer under the eyes, bronzer and highlighter. Takes me 20 minutes!

I’m also an RN and I won’t go to work without BB cream, blush, highlight, brows, mascara, a nude liner on my waterline, and a tinted lip balm. If I don’t have my hair and makeup done I feel like the day just doesn’t go the same. If I’m all put together I feel so much better about myself and I feel like that makes my day go better. On my lunch break I blot and powder the center of my face with studio fix but other than that I don’t do anything else to it all day.

I love that you talk about your job on this channel and how you do your makeup. I work as a dishwasher so I have to wear minimal makeup too because I'm always dealing with water and it makes me feel more normal since you said that you don't wear makeup most of the time too.
Sleep al the way everyone knows the drill with me. Need to be somewhere before 9 am no to little makeup. After 9 am probably full beat

This relates to me on another level. I'm in Colllege but work Housekeeping on the side before my classes. I always wake up early enough to do my makeup nicely. It gives me confidence when I finally get to class because I may have cleaned toilets 1 hour prior but HONEY I look fabulous while doing it!

I work 12 hour evening shifts at the hospital. I like your morning routine @Youkeyy especially the concealer on the eyelids. I incorporate color into my routine by using multi sticks for eye, cheek and lip color. A highlight stick for my cheeks, lip and nose and no eyeliner, but lash extensions to finish the look. It brings a nice cohesive balance to my face and gives some me some oomph, then set. All this in 18 minutes. I have to get my sleep and I'm glad you did this tutorial for the working ladies. 100% rather sleep. So humid in Houston I don't even wear foundation. I just use concealer and go.

@@fermay13 that depends on where you live. I live in Sampa and I can put some makeup on and survive throught out the day just fine. A full beat is out of question tho because 1. I'm too lazy 2. The weather has been indeed too humid these days lmao

I wake up early to get ready for work as a teacher. I also make sure I go to bed on time to get enough sleep. I find looking put together makes me have better days and puts a pep in my step!

Dentist here... best thing I did was get my eyebrows microbladed. It now takes me about 15 min to do my makeup routine to look fairly decent and not make any kids cry with my face. I love you, Youkey! You’re the best ❤️

I'm Latina but I got different colored lips too, when I was younger I'd try to match lipstick to my natural lips. I eventually decided that was too extra😂
It's a thing with people with melanin! We need to stop saying "black people" when we mean everyone with melanin, but yes, the contrast is such a cute feature. In many places it's actually a trend to make it look like your top lip is differently colored if they're not already.

I’m a RN as well & I definitely used to sleep to the last minute I could, but now I wake up 15 min earlier to get my mind right, put on lashes and get my eyebrows together. If I’m feeling sassy I put on a little concealer lol. But I do agree, applying a full makeup look is so therapeutic. On days off, I will put on a beat face just to chill around the house sometimes💁🏾♀️

theres NOTHING I love more than the way mixed girls(like myself)/black girls have lips that look like they have natural lip liner, its super beautiful "flaw/ discoloration".. that's how some girls talk I about it but personally I believe it sooooo sexy looking and obviously natural. I donnt have color lips like that, mine are pretty pale which pisses me off because my lips are not small. anyway pretty make up, its crazy how foundation works so quickly and blends like that. make up is amazing.

I used to work as an electrician before my health issues started and I still wore makeup to work every day. Not complicated stuff but always some concealer, powder, eyeliner, mascara and some eyebrow stuff. Most of the time also some light blush and contour or bronzer.
Basically what I would do just without all the colorful stuff but to still look fresh and healthy and just feel good.
Legit I just do my brows so I’ll be looking human and that’s it. can’t be cutting into my sleep when I have a 12 hour shift

Yes!!!! I'm an RN too and work nights...I only wear foundation powder to take away shine from my moisturizer and that's it. Sleeping is my #1 priority when I have to work.
I'm in med school,in my clinical years...I get so tired that I prefer getting more sleep then waking up early to do my makeup...lol

I know that there isn’t much to be gained sleeping an extra 10 minutes, but as early as clinicals can be I could never blame you! Everything becomes streamlined & easy bare bones. Complexion products become a hassle for students anyway

Bethany Schmidt God doesn’t care if your face is looking beat or not . The whole purpose of going to church is serve the most high , giving him your full attention , time , and worship . When I go to church I’m not worrying about how I look in front of people. God cares about your soul not what your flesh looks like on the outside. 1 Corinthian 15:50 “Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
True, but as a worship pastor you also present yourself before people and encourage them to worship God. Sometimes a busted face can distract the congregation from actually praying and instead ask themselves what is wrong with you (speaking from experience). Even though it is not their first intention, people have a tendency of nitpicking EVERYTHING going on in front of them. The leader of our worship team always ask of us to be presentable so as to not give people a reason to be distracted from worship. Not necessarily the FULL FULL beat, but just enough to look awake and ready. 🤷🏾♀️
Olivia Omonombe speaking form experience being a pastors daughter trust me I know everything that happens while on scene and off .Now I agree I had a certain dress code I had to follow, but never when it came to make up I just went completely natural . For those people who are worrying , and distracted they really shouldn’t be the ones judging they should focusing on getting their souls right with God . Worship leader here. I get it Bethany. Some people couldn't care less about beat. Others feel much more put-together and confident with it. Neither one is wrong. Natural faces are no more "holy" than beat faces. No judgement here!
