Great to see someone with full transparency. I've started uploading ai images to adobe stock. Now I've 197 images on my portfolio and 2 downloads. Next month I'll be uploading bulk starting from next month.
Exactly. It's not at all easy thousands of dollars :) I'm being really honest what I sell, what I earn - maybe you can learn something from my mistakes. But I found it helpful to sell on many stock websites at the same time. This guarantees me that I have some income each month from any of them. One month it's Adobe, another month Getty images, etc... Good luck!
Just a small tip: if you upload in bulk, make sure your images look different. Otherwise Adobe may block your account for spamming.

@@maa-v5m are they AI images? I definitely recommend uploading these images to other websites too! But not all websites accept ai images... You will earn much more if you upload to multiple websites.

@@MajedKhan-jg7rp Adobe allows you to upload ai images, you just need to specify for them that they are ai.
I don't exactly understand your first question. Just a word of advice, your images should look different. If you upload similar images, your account may be blocked for spamming.

How do you make your video?
I have been a digital artist before I even joined any stock websites. So now I upload short digital videos on stock websites. I make my videos in AfterEffects and Cinema 4D. There are a lot of tutorials on TH-cam.
I paid for Cinema4D license and I pay monthly Adobe subscription. There are definitely free alternatives, for example Blender is free and in some way similar to Cinema 4D.
I wish you good luck! If you have a camera (Canon, Nikon, etc), you can also film real-life footage.

You are right - this is not for everyone. I enjoy my $2000 per year though from all websites, even though I hardly upload anything. By the way, this is NOT a large volume portfolio at all. Back then - it was, but now people have much larger portfolios.

I have 13000 images... I will upload AI-generated images until I have 25000 until April 2025 and then I will stop, and tell myself "This is not going to work"
13000 images is quite a bit, yes, there are thousands of images on Adobe Stock already and it gets more and more competitive to generate income. But it's good you are 100% in it, so later if you quit you know you gave your absolute best! Then you can put your efforts into something else :) good luck!
At this time up to upload 1000 photos as editorials on Shutterstock and a week ago I received 10 pences.

Yes, I'm afraid Shutterstock only pays about 10p for images. Occasionally you may receive a bit more, like $1 or something. For this reason I stopped uploading images completely, and now I'm uploading only videos.

Finally I realized it was very wrong.
I thought that as editorial was going to sell, if I could sell a photo, it would take a long time to sell these images but if anyone buys them if I would pay more money than a normal photo.

I use Cinema 4D and After effects to make my videos. There are already hundreds of tutorials on TH-cam, I'm afraid I will not make tutorials. Good luck!
Try motion elements submission too
Motion Elements didn't work for me at all. I was getting $8 per year selling on Motion Elements :))) So I closed my ME account. I'm pretty sure they have many customers and they sell a lot, but none of my motion graphics were selling. But thanks for the suggestion!

Yes. If you sign up as "non-exclusive", you will sell the same items on many websites. Usually Shutterstock, Adobe Stock, etc are non-exclusive by default.

Are you happy with your earnings? It's important to not compare yourself with anyone else, but do what feels right for you. I find that personally for me less frequent video downloads work best for me - I just got $28 from a video sale, and its equivalent to 10-20 sold images. But if you have many images that sell frequently (not my case), then it can be great too! Anyway, I wish you good luck! And thank you for sharing.

A lot of stock websites - nothing happens for a long time after you join. So I joined 3 years ago, but that doesn't mean I had 4000 approved items 3 years ago...:))
3 years ago I had 100 approved photographs on my account, which were not selling at all. Then I uploaded digital illustrations - not much selling. In 2023 I uploaded videos - and my Adobe Stock account finally started working. So $230 (+ I made another video sale since this video) is really what I made in the last year to be honest. I feel like Adobe started working for me only after I uploaded videos. Selling videos generates most of my income.
I am being honest about my experience and hope you get some insights from it.

I took photos with Canon camera ages ago. I now sold the camera and don't do photography anymore. I don't use ai at all.

It's growing slowly for me. And I'm very honest about it. But I got almost $2000 last year from all websites-which is more than I got in return from my stocks and shares investments :)
