I came for the freediving, got an art and philosophy class and left with an existential crisis. beautiful

"We will be the first species that is responsible for our extinction." . I agree, it may well be to late, although I hope not.
Love this doc andyour work, thank you.

Superb. Sadly, too short. Fred Buyle's one of my personal heroes and he and I are absolutely on the same page: we humans as a species are past the point of no return, and Mother Nature gave us plenty of time to right the ship, but we instead thought it was somebody else's problem.

I feel the same with the Environment and Global Warming. Unfortunately You are 100 percent Right. I listen to your advice. Thank you. Non-Pro Freedivers always listen to Pro- Freedivers. God Bless! We just keep diving and cleaning our Oceans.

Brilliant in every respect! Kudos to all involved. I've been on a month-long explore of freediving documentaries and this is the most memorable. Regarding your opinions in the final minutes about the unenviable position humans now find ourselves, I fully agree that it's too late for the human race, although I still live like there's hope. It's a pity that we're only realising this truth now, as we speed toward both our remarkable zenith and that inevitable and precipitous collapse.

AWESOME!.. we cant control everyone, so lets just enjoy what we have for as long as were here, care for it as long as we can... in the end, we are dust and to dust we shall go.

Unfortunately, at 22:20, you are absolutely correct. The Oceanic Tipping Point was crossed back in 1987... (Berne Centre for Biodiversity Studies. 2014)

Guillaume Néry quit the Freediving Competition when they accidentally put extra depth on his rope he almost died. Since then he said it was not worth to die from competition and he has baby to take care off. He love Freediving and decided not to compete anymore just do Freediving Films to show the world.

Awesome piece of Art. But just one remark: When he mentions sperm whales in the vicinity, blue whales are shown. Stuff like this drives me crazy! :D
