Fun fact: This song was inspired by Lady Bathory, a Hungarian noblewoman who was rumored to have bathed in the blood of young women to stay young. She was a real person, but the rumours were just rumours, men needed to have her removed from her influential position so she was basically a victim of a witchhunt.
One of my favorite song from X Japan. I really like it especially the ending part of the song. Although it is unpopular opinion, I prefer the 92 Tokyo dome version better than this ones. However it is sad that Taiji drop the bass solo and other version obviously lack orchestra. There are unplug version of this song that are quite good and there also a Japanese ski(search Midori Ito - rose of pain) that use this song as one of her routines. Her performance got a lot of perfect score and worth the watch.
