Honestly, I would be 100% on board with you guys doing a podcast. You are both so well spoken and have really valuable perspectives on a lot of topics. Also, Cristine don't feel guilty about taking time off camera. You are one of the hardest working people on this platform, with basically 3 full time jobs. honestly tho, if you want to make nail art videos on this channel, you should make nail art videos on this channel! i originally subscribed when you were just doing voiceover and i’m not interested in nail art otherwise, i just enjoyed your personality and seeing something pretty being made. maybe some people wouldn’t stay if it was more about nail art here again, but since this isn’t your sole source of income or your job, i don’t think that really matters? hank green recently said on one of his podcasts that he feels that vlogbrothers doesn’t really need a bigger audience, it needs an audience that is comprised of people who like the things that they want to do, and i think that’s a good way to go about doing youtube, especially when you don’t depend on it financially

You've done a lot, mom- to and for the people you have and haven't met, me included. The sympathy crying is real... My boyfriend and I do it all the time with each other and I of course had to join in from the other side of a screen... Cristine and Ben feel like my friends that I wish I could hang out with more, but where physical distance stands between us. Even if I don't see them for 6 months, nothing changes and when I see them again it will be just like the last time we hung out. Cristine, I know I speak for all of us when I say that you should do what makes you happy. If a break is what you need, do it. If you just want to focus in your business right now, do it. You are your own first priority, and we accept that. If you want to do silent nail art videos for a while, do it. If you want to show us what things are like behind the scenes putting Halo Taco together as a new kind of video, do it if you think it'll show us your passions. Go out and find yourself again if that's what you need =))

Cristine, I just want to share something and I hope you see this.
Last year my husband had multiple heart surgeries and spent months in hospital. I would work, go see him at the hospital and then go home to an empty house. It was honestly the roughest time of my life and I was so sad.
I discovered your videos during this time and would watch them constantly; the nail art was beautiful, the silly videos would make me laugh and I loved having something to distract me from my own problems each day.
I'm crying as I watch this video, because even if you never make videos again I want you to know how thankful I am that you were 'there for me' and for I'm sure millions of others. We feel like you're our family and we just want you to be happy, so you do what you have to do because we are all behind you 100%.

Natalie (communitychannel) has not uploaded for 2 years, but I'm still subscribed to her. I know she's had issues with mental health and not wanting to film, so I re-watch older videos and interact when she posts words on Facebook. She started TH-cam 13 years ago, and there's still nearly 2 million of us subscribed. Ryan (NigaHiga) is pretty much doing what he wants, doing things with his friends and making energy drinks.
Not to mention Jenna Marbles, who really is living the life. Posting videos about bathing her dogs/other wholesome everyday content, doing podcasts about whatever shit she wants to discuss, playing video games and having fun with it. That's honestly what I would aspire to do if I was a TH-camr.
It's hard to be a TH-camr because your content can be lost in The Algorithm, or randomly demonetised, or have content stolen and monetised in other places (I think that situation might be better now, I dunno, ask Dr Pimplepopper). Having it as a hobby instead of relying on it as an income stream takes the pressure off trying to make clickbait and hitting the right points to "win" the algorithm.
