Super fan? Super bloopers 😉 I have used the backhand tomahawk before, but not often. I might try the disguised pendulum at my club session tomorrow night 🙂
Hi Craig, This is probably the first and only one time I can give you a tip: I have (in comparison) little problems with the fastest serve: I finished some matches with it. Tip is : just start as if you are going to hit the ball with your forehand (grip) and at the last moment turn you racket to the backhand side. The wrist action will speed up the ball even more.
This is quite helpful. Thank you. I’ve tried a couple of these serves with mixed results. I struggle with getting the serve onto the table. It’s nice to know that even the pro’s struggle with them.
Hey Craig, thanks for this Video. I'll try the Fake reverse when I train next time. This time I'm actually able to let you know how you can improve your Sakai serve. You did great and I've learnt this to serve stable but not as fast. To get the Sakai, you could actually do the Bazooka serve first, which hast the same paddle torsion but just pushes forward. We've seen you did great at the reverse Tomahawk so if you'd add some of that in, then you get the Sakai, which is in between these two serve varants and it'll bei stable. Try it again and let me know if it's become more easy to get the serve more often. Cheers
I do the reverse tomahawk(topspin) all the time from fh corner. Easy 1-2 points when you really need it. Its tough to recover if opponent gets a deep return with weird spin to the bh corner.
What's the advantage on the fastest serve of flipping the paddle? Seems like you can make the exact motion with your normal forehand. I've tried both and the prior seems needlessly difficult compared to normal high speed forehand serve.
I try this one tomorrow, sir @Craig, 2hrs ago i was having the "sense" of reverse pende. btw thank you very much!!! I got a question: will the "fake" backhand serve got a tiny adjustment, to make the fastest serve possible? by doing so the "fake" backhand serve will be in cross, while the initial one is straight / short one.
I executed a pendulum serve in my last game. The ball made contact with my thumb nail and went over the net down the line from my backhand corner in the manner of a fake pendulum. Nobody noticed the failed contact and the ball bounced past my opponent for the only ace serve of the match for either team. 😅
Maybe I’m seeing something not there but for me you bop up as you make contact on that serve (serve 1). Could that be the reason it’s just lifting a little bit and missing the edge just.
The first serve tip: you use too much forearm power. the movement is too big. Try this: when you contact the ball, STOP your forearm and shake the wrist - a little bit upward and forward ;) You dont need too much aftermotion. Any serve tip: if you stop your arm and wrist when you contact the ball, you will generate more spin. This way, you can make this serve more stable. But yes, this is hard, the hardest part is the timing..
I have to disagree with your comments. I’m trying to play with power, so there will be a larger motion including the forearm. If you stop the motion on the point of contact, the your arm / wrist is then slowing down on the approach. So, you will not maximise spin. You might feel you have more control but you won’t capitalise on spin.
@@TheTableTennisServiceGuy I'm not sure I explained it well: your hand is behind your left shoulder when you finish the movement >> 1:17 ! that's too much! I mean the hand should be loose, and when you touch the ball, squeeze it slightly...the hand will still swing forward, but it won't stop at your left shoulder. it is uncontrollable. The key to this serve is not power, but control i think. And there will never be control with such a big swing and you missing the contact or will too flat. you will never succeed more than 1 in 10 if you do it with as much swing as in the video. I try to make it flat and have a lot of spin. If it's flat and spins a lot, it's also fast :) And of course, I add power with my BODY and not the hand!
Very underrated channel. Keep up the good work. Your content really stands out with the focus on serves
Thank you

Great to see the thinking process !
That last one is amazing !
Thank you. Helpful tips and insights on the process of practicing. I'm.going to try the reverse pendulum.
It's great that you show all the serves that didn't go well Craig !

Thank you friend 😊
Awesome ideas. Thanks mate.
That's one great video, Craig. You'll have to teach me on those serves 😂
Great Video, thank you Craig
I am going to try the last one as I am using pendulum serves

Super Fan :)
I like the Fake Pendulum more. I think it's much more strategic. One just needs to "Use it wisely" and it's almost a guaranteed point.
👋 yeah, that’s my favourite one too

💪
I was teaching the fastest and reverse to kids last week. This week will be the sneaky pendulum...
Great fun 🤩
Superfan, checking in!

Will you make a tutorial on how to receive those serves by any chance 😅

Hi Craig..may I ask you what rubber do you prefer for better serve n attack?
I use Dynaryz AGR
Ok I am going to try these serves. After 10,000 times I should get it right. I will let you know .
Has it been 10’000 times yet? 😁
Some of the footage of the reverse tomahawk is sped up, right?
Yes, sections of the video are sped up, so you all weren’t spending too long looking at my attempts.

The ultimate fake pendulum 👏🤣
I think you need tp take a half step to the forehand corner and you would have made way more of the fast one
You may be right
With my fast serve. I serve from other corner
I love your videos, but it's a bit weird to see you miss so many! How can we expect to do it if you can't? But will keep trying!
Maybe I’m seeing something not there but for me you bop up as you make contact on that serve (serve 1). Could that be the reason it’s just lifting a little bit and missing the edge just.
You could well be right
With one of my opponents I can tell when she is going to serve a reverse tomahawk. She hid the bat
I can no longer use the reverse pendulum serve. My elbow is stuffed
if you need all these attempts for the fast serve.... I would rather stick with the pendulum 😂
😊

Why does he look like andrew tate from far 😂❤❤
How deep is your pocket, Craig?😂
Very deep, so my friends tell me 😂
😂
Loose the time.
