A fireplace is not just a source of heat, it is a magical window into another world where you can lose yourself, enjoying the warmth and the sounds of its crackling sound. This is a place where time stands still and thoughts become clear.
Fire is my therapist. Whenever I sit around a fire I’m a different person than I usually am. It hypnotises me and puts me in a better position where I forget about my problems and focus on the dancing flames and the crackling and popping noise and the smell of the smoke. I feel relaxed and warm. Occasionally I will go outside on a cool night and build a fire to sit around and I set up my swag next to it so I can fall asleep to this sound. Sort of like a mini camping experience. Even inside when I light the fire I keep the house warm. I love fire.

All of this gives me a strange yet beautiful feeling, like you can see humanity's very core and it's a warm shining light that has been there for longer than we can imagine. It makes me think of our ancestors, sitting around a fire in a cave, the thunderstorm raging outside and yet the fire is crackling as always and you just know that it will be well, because deep down, humanity is good, connected by little things like rainstorms and a crackling fire. It's incredible to see how we take refugee in things like fire and storms, that used to scare us. But still we are connected, and when you close your eyes and relax, can you feel the warmth of everyone else that has listened to this? Can you feel the love I am sending your way through this message? Whoever you are out there.
This is by far one of my favourite ambience videos. The scene with the nighttime snow, the perfect amount of noise, and that occasional hoot, so peaceful. Reminds me of winter camping when I was young.

This is so delightful! The forest in the moonlight is mystical & magical looking, while inside by the fire is warm & inviting. The only thing is, the volume on the video is quite low, I have to turn my volume up much loader than most other videos to hear it. But otherwise I love it & will be returning often!
