he tried to do too much to a pop song with the original production. Had he changed it to match his vocals, it might've been better.
D. Foxx Exactly. This was a simple "catering to the mass" pop song. He still made it but he should've chosen a more vocally challenging song.

None of the songs in the Voice are chosen by the singers themselves unfortunately. Even in the blind auditions the songs are chosen for them.
