It’s always a pleasure whatever the lens you put on. You will notice that the lack of overregulation affords a low tension life which is why many people you meet may seem poor yet will be very happy. India has the world’s largest population of people who are truly alive!

There are 2 kinds of travellers coming to India:
1. Go straight to Delhi, explore golden triangle, mumbai slum tour, leave the country and tell India is $h!t.
2. Do homework about what India can offer for a joyful adventure travel, they will either start with south india or ends with south india. Along with exploring the northeast as well as the states of JK and HP.
Those who follow the 2nd route will have the memories of a lifetime. And If they touch all these places, congratulations! You have explored 10% of India
Never understood the craze about Amritsar and Jaipur. I think its just good marketing which has made it a tourist hotspot. Amritsar is dirty and Jaipur is full of tourist scams.

Additionally there are non veg items listed alongside with veg items. For example appam and chicken isthu (appam is veg), the rice and flavouring agents in Biryani are veg, meen polichatu (the spices are veg alongside the banana leaf), parotta is veg, fish cutlets(the breading and potatoes are veg), also for most of the dishes you will need to have a veg as an accompanying option which is rice.

Its a very strict observance during this pilgrimage and there are few who will only live on alms during this time. Remember the stretch this pilgrimage happens is real wild even today with Tigers and Elephants to say the least. Noticing your ride map you will pass close to this Devasthanam.
