@loadoutroom I was considering buying this pack. I’m hoping you could help me by answering a few questions I have. 1. Is the quality there? I’m debating on this pack or the goruck. I know goruck is good quality but expensive. 2. Is the Shadow Gray blueish? It looks blue on camera at times.
1. Yes great quality but very heavy even before you pack it. 2. Yes all the colours are slightly off when they arrive. Choose the black one to be safe.
Looks like a solid bag but I haven't seen as many reviews compared to Maxpedition for example. Any thoughts on the quality after having it for a little while? I purchased two 3V bags and both were defective so now I'm paranoid lol
Joe I bought my Dragon Egg about 2 years ago and it has been durable. Only sign of wear is that the molle seems to be having tiny bits of fibres coming off that I often just burn off(not really an issue as it’s just slightly unappealing visually). Other than that it’s a really comfortable and durable daypack as I’ve been using mine everywhere I go, from daily commuting to outdoor hikes.
Just got mine. Question. It sounds like there is some type of water resistant plastic between the nylon. It has a loud crinkle sound each time you push of move the bag around. Kind of annoying as it’s loud.

Imo, if you prefer tougher n more firm shape, it is 5.11 due to firmer 1050d nylon (not cordura specifically) while DA offered specific cordura label with 500d means the material wont be firmer as on 1050d nylon thus more flexible. One thicker n the other lighter. Nevertheless they supposed to be more than enough average normal daily use.
NOT Made in USA. NOT Lifetime Warranty. NOT Interested. Good review, and definitely a nice pack. But ...so many other choices 100% MADE IN USA w/ Lifetime Warranty. This is not worthy of consideration.
Made in USA doesnt mean to be best in class man ;). FE cars (germany, fyi I have Jeep), motorbikes (Italy, fyi I have H-D), guns (germany), booze (ireland, cuba), cigars (cuba), shoes (italy), suits (italy), knives (sweden, japan) aaaaand backpacks ;)
@@p3tr313 True enough. You left out some other great countries of origin, like Poland, Finland, Czeck Republic, Israel, Canada. By Made in USA -- I was generally referring to NOT MADE IN CHINA. There are fabulous designers, builders and crafts people throughout the world.

I am from Czech Rep myself and we have some decent industries here (surprisingly CZ firearms are not as popular here as in US). Direct Action is Polish company if Im not mistaken, but my Dragon Egg says Made in Taiwan...but it is great tho ;)
