Locals report that a local Noquam desert biker gang known as "The Dust Devils," notorious for their raids on settlements and caravans, has come into conflict with a group of gun runners! While reports are sparse, it is also currently rumored that these gun runners are also responsible for the dirt road network and safer trade within the Noquam desert. (I forgot how I signed these comments off on past videos lol)

Loving the Warlord Series, Rat Knight! One small tip though, because a small part of me died a little bit each time I watched you use the 'choose graphics' mod one thing at a time when there were multiple copies of the same item -- if you double click, say, all your batteries, or all your solar panels, or all your plant pots or end tables or dressers or what have you, you should still be able to use the 'choose graphic' button and change all of them in one go instead of one at a time. It's not ultimately that important, but it saves time and mouse clicks and watching them all change over at once is really satisfying (to me, at least)! Keep up the great work!

I'm not sure if they would have the same sort of mythology here but I think a cool name would be the: "Sons of Set", who in Egyptian mythology is the god of storms, disaster, and the desert, and I believe somewhere he is called the god of evil. I feel like that can fit the vibe of their symbol, it sounds like a biker gang name, and the fact that they come from the desert makes it come together. You could say that maybe their leader shares the name and/or knows of that mythology through some family story pass down or reading really ancient stuff.

Hey Ratknight, I'm a fan from Germany and i gotta say I'm a huge fan! just a suggestion, you might want to make an IFV (Infantry Fighting Vehicle) for your mercenaries! these vehicles are typically armed with an autocannon and can transport infantry inside of them. they are used by many mercenary groups in the real world. it can also in theory be used as a trade vehicle! if you decide to take this idea would you name the vehicle Marder? it is a real IFV made by the Bundeswehr that tends to be forgotten about for it's more modern brothers.

Great video!! Love that new series! For the dirtbike raiders I’d suggest „Red Raiding Rebels“ that sounds quite bike-gangy to me. And I have something in my head when it comes to the vehicle mod. I also use it, I love it, it’s great. I’m quite advanced with my current colony and I use the helicopters of this mod. But for this series I’d say that choppers would be a Buh overpowered (what they really are even in a normal game). I’d love to see you use most of the ground vehicles, APCs, IFVs, for scouting actions even the dirtbikes. I’d love to see you just have a huge park of cars for your trading company.

you should add more designated roles for your defense and attack squads for them to be more effective via tactical usage of them: Machine Gunner: This person can be someone with not so great accuracy as their main goal is going to be suppressing the enemy slowing down their push while defending and making it safer for other elements of the team to attack the position more effectively with covering fire while attacking. Give this person a big capacity mag fed weapon like M240B,M249,M250,PKM,RPK,M60 etc. and tons of ammo. Sniper: This one is pretty straight forward try to have the second most accurate person in the team have one to focus entirely on high value targets due to the weapon systems inherant slow firing speed. You can snipe an enemy commander or an enemy carrying launchers or other kind of highly destructive devices to both make enemy lose morale and support the team. Ballistic shield: While not that really usefull during defense during attacks espacially with the help of machine gunner this unit can help you cross more open terrain and be movable cover to other units. Another thing is Breaching a room, you can send this unit first to soak up the first few rounds coming your way for other units espacially ones with shotguns to quickly neutralize the threat. Anti-Armor: Its obvious what this unit needs to do but you should never send them alone there should always be a another unit nearby. Make the most accurate person use this due to how costly each AT-4 rockets you are using are and also because like in real life they are single use only. Battlefield is dynamic so what is required for a succesfull operation changes all the time but having different units with different strengths can be a force multiplier, giving the commander aka YOU more options. But as always how effective they are going to be is dependant on the squad leader or the commanders usage of them.
I recommend buying that fancy new vanilla recycling mod and just switching to a purely pollution based energy system, clean it up to get some toxpacks, turn them into chemfuel packs, and use the garbage to make some bricks for some more cheap defenses or embrasures. But yeah, im glad i found you, these more relaxed series of yours are totally amazing, and i cant wait to see more!
Hey, Rat Daddy! Soo.. The Marshals and the Rebels probably can't focus too much on industry, right? I mean, there's a war going on after all! So, what if you get a mod that lets you craft reinforced barrels and craft artillery pieces? I mean, artillery is typically pretty critical in warfare, so why not be the one manufacturing and selling those beautiful pieces of express-death-delivery? Alsooo! The bandits rode bikes, right? Why not call them "The Rust Riders" or just "Rust Riders"?
Maybe for this mafia group you could call them “The Face Melters” since the gang consists of a lot of impids and the faction template itself is the “savage impid tribe” template (faction temples are used to decide what pawns are generated in a given faction and also what xenotypes each pawn would have. Faction templates are used when creating modded faction)
Advance geyser power plants are my usual go-to + batteries, and once the geysers near me (or all) used and protected, I start adding wind and solar. I also use wall-lights mode to have grow-lights and sprinkler systems to do indoor farming. Also, what about deep drilling to locate steel to extract. also the Hospitality Mod is quite cool and may have added some neat narratives to this series.

Something that I think would be really cool for series is maybe something to do with the mercenaries. Along the lines of making a selling weapons maybe you could do some kind of test program with the Merc’s in the sense that you start to turn them into super soldiers with bionics and upgrades. That would be another revenue adventure, that you dabble in. Also, you could take slaves and turn them into these super soldiers and then sell them to other factions. So that the slaves themselves are in fact “the weapon” Also, name for the gang. I like “The forsaken ones” or “The Fallen”
A mod I suggest using is defensive positions it allows you to save the positions that your colonists go to when there’s a attack and allows you to set them in squads and the like
Have you heard of a channel called Kruggsmash? He's a Dwarf Fortress youtuber who's is a joy to listen to. His fortresses all have interesting stories and he tells them in a chill manner. You kinda remind me of him. Also don't feel bad about building segments. I love watching your base grow into something special. That's the joy of playing colony sims. Though I suggest building more things to open space in front of the base. I never played Rimworld but I feel like you'll run into some giant bugs eventually which is a very bad thing :D

If youre gonna set a mine station where you run the risk of insects coming up you should build a defense positon/killbox they have to get through and a few turrets to slow them down so you can get ready and keep your mercenaries safe
herd the boomalopes, their milk is chemfuel and they make great defense/offense. Boomalope pens in front of base turrets, or vice versa. Send them in first.

Dirtbike Gang name - "Dust Devils Motorcycle Club" also D.D.M.C. has a nice ring to it when abbreviating it.
you should add more designated roles for your defense and attack squads for them to be more effective via tactical usage of them:
Machine Gunner: This person can be someone with not so great accuracy as their main goal is going to be suppressing the enemy slowing down their push while defending and making it safer for other elements of the team to attack the position more effectively with covering fire while attacking. Give this person a big capacity mag fed weapon like M240B,M249,M250,PKM,RPK,M60 etc. and tons of ammo.
Sniper: This one is pretty straight forward try to have the second most accurate person in the team have one to focus entirely on high value targets due to the weapon systems inherant slow firing speed. You can snipe an enemy commander or an enemy carrying launchers or other kind of highly destructive devices to both make enemy lose morale and support the team.
Ballistic shield: While not that really usefull during defense during attacks espacially with the help of machine gunner this unit can help you cross more open terrain and be movable cover to other units. Another thing is Breaching a room, you can send this unit first to soak up the first few rounds coming your way for other units espacially ones with shotguns to quickly neutralize the threat.
Anti-Armor: Its obvious what this unit needs to do but you should never send them alone there should always be a another unit nearby. Make the most accurate person use this due to how costly each AT-4 rockets you are using are and also because like in real life they are single use only.
Battlefield is dynamic so what is required for a succesfull operation changes all the time but having different units with different strengths can be a force multiplier, giving the commander aka YOU more options. But as always how effective they are going to be is dependant on the squad leader or the commanders usage of them.
I think a good name for the gang that attacked the would be the white horn crime syndicate I think it sounds simple but rolls off the tongue nicely
I recommend buying that fancy new vanilla recycling mod and just switching to a purely pollution based energy system, clean it up to get some toxpacks, turn them into chemfuel packs, and use the garbage to make some bricks for some more cheap defenses or embrasures.
But yeah, im glad i found you, these more relaxed series of yours are totally amazing, and i cant wait to see more!

Maybe for this mafia group you could call them “The Face Melters” since the gang consists of a lot of impids and the faction template itself is the “savage impid tribe” template (faction temples are used to decide what pawns are generated in a given faction and also what xenotypes each pawn would have. Faction templates are used when creating modded faction)

Advance geyser power plants are my usual go-to + batteries, and once the geysers near me (or all) used and protected, I start adding wind and solar. I also use wall-lights mode to have grow-lights and sprinkler systems to do indoor farming.
Also, what about deep drilling to locate steel to extract.

Something that I think would be really cool for series is maybe something to do with the mercenaries. Along the lines of making a selling weapons maybe you could do some kind of test program with the Merc’s in the sense that you start to turn them into super soldiers with bionics and upgrades. That would be another revenue adventure, that you dabble in. Also, you could take slaves and turn them into these super soldiers and then sell them to other factions. So that the slaves themselves are in fact “the weapon”
Also, name for the gang. I like “The forsaken ones” or “The Fallen”

Have you heard of a channel called Kruggsmash? He's a Dwarf Fortress youtuber who's is a joy to listen to. His fortresses all have interesting stories and he tells them in a chill manner. You kinda remind me of him.
Also don't feel bad about building segments. I love watching your base grow into something special. That's the joy of playing colony sims. Though I suggest building more things to open space in front of the base. I never played Rimworld but I feel like you'll run into some giant bugs eventually which is a very bad thing :D

If youre gonna set a mine station where you run the risk of insects coming up you should build a defense positon/killbox they have to get through and a few turrets to slow them down so you can get ready and keep your mercenaries safe

You can use 4 Wall sun lamp on your farm it doesnt turn off in the night and sun lamp uses 3000 watt while wall sun lamp uses 600 watts
