@ihanglikeastar. Thanks for the message! The Centre of South Asian Studies are hoping to create packages for students and schools combining this footage with their audio archive - a huge collection of taped interviews with people who saw the final days of the Empire unfolding. Hopefully this will lead to the dialogue you're referring to (funding permitting, of course). In the meantime, you can also find the audio archive for free on their website as we released it last year.
@vkpillay There's some stuff on Ceylon in the full archive if you're interested in finding out more. Check out the Atkinson, Jones and Wilson/Pemberton collections for footage from Kandy, Colombo and more.
Excellent stuff! I wish I'd known about this while I was writing my History A Level! It's a fascinating insight into the times and I wonder how this can be harnessed and used to encourage greater and more insightful dialogue around colonisation and the deep scar it has left on the psyche of many, many peoples. Thank you for making it available. At least I know what I'll be doing this weekend! :)

@vkpillay. It's a pleasure - glad it's of interest and use.
