I remember in the second DVD of Chambers Chris Columbus admitted he didn’t like the effects on Philosopher’s Stone since the post-production was little rushed and didn’t had enough budget for the CGI so he was relieved when the studio gave him more money for the effects for Chamber.
Everyone likes to say Harry accomplished all his feats with help. And while that may be true, the fact that in his second of year of even knowing about magic and beasts he’s able to take on and kill one of the most feared and powerful animals of all time says all you need to know about his bravery and skill as a formidable opponent.
0:20 And this was where Tom got the imagery for the dark mark. to those saying the dark mark from his being a parselmouth, dont worry, that's the other reason. furthermore, Slytherin's decision to hide the basilisk in the mouth of his statue ALSO comes from being a parselmouth.
"He had the right to do that"... XD what rights are you dudes talking about? rights that your teachers gave you at elementary school to speak when raising a hand? Life has never stopped being a jungle... nobody cares about whether or not some no-name tells them about their rights. The bird just did whatever the f*** it wanted to do.
If Tom had fully recovered his Physical form from the diary horcrux is there a chance that the soul of his present day self would still exist rooming around the land for a new body.
Why is this so good?? I'm a book fan and I thought I was a movie hater, but this is so good! I'm like remembering the book while watching this!! Though the sword of gryffindor still should've appear on his head while wearing the sorting hat..
Anyone else think about how the basilisks teeth were used to destroy horcroxes but Harry literally had one of the teeth in him he had to pull out when he himself is a horcrox . Don’t understand how that works really
If Harry had died by the Basilisk (i.e. fawkes didn't save him) then both he and the Horcrux within im would have died. But since Fawkes stepped in and saved Harry, the Horcrux within him also survived

But the wand chooses the wizard. Harry's wand has its allegiance to himself only. So its not possible to kill Harry with his own wand. Correct me if im wrong...
I feel like it's not talked about nearly enough what a phenomenal job Christian Coulson did as Tom Riddle. For what little we get to see him prior, when he appears at the end, although a student, he totally sells himself as a mastermind and the pre-incarnate Voldemort.
Snakes can't smell with their noses, you pillock. They taste the air with their tongues. And aside from that, they can only see you, or feel the vibrations in the ground as you walk by them.

CGI on this has aged superbly. Unlike the first movie which is clearly quite dated on that front this one still looks great!

That’s because the script told him to
@jd0879 Thabk you literal Larry 😂😂😂
I don't think the basilisk's stare would kill him, he's a parselmouth and he's a horcrux
I actually think him having piece of Voldemort helps

Jason Isaacs aka Lucius Malfoy also voices the basilisk. Kinda cool
The bird had the right to blind the basilisk, not just so it couldn’t see, but also so its gaze of death wouldn’t harm Harry

One of the major inconsistencies of Harry Potter. I fail to see an explanation for this even to this day.
@@necroplastful
The reply above you literally gave you an explanation 🤦
Strange the basilisk can hear as snakes usually don't have hearing.
Magic + Don't think about it
Snakes very much possess the sense of hearing :)
Snake keeper & breeder here.
You know i don’t think there was ever a point past this movie where harry potter cgi was lacking.
Oh, movie monsters, the only creatures in existence who are still allowed to swoon when they die...
Voldemort handling harry's wand and he has more than 1.000.000 chances to kill harry with killing curse
well, it wasn't even introduced in Chamber of Secrets, and the killing curse really should have never existed to begin with

4:18 Critical! Serpent died to Harry
The ost in this battle for the console was so good.
Why couldn't the basilisk smell Harry?
The water idk
It's a movie and a real snake doesn't smell with their nose they use their tongue

"You can still smell him! Kill him!"
Tom Riddle (ps2)
It's lived in a sewer cave for hundreds of years. You expect it to be able to smell?
That's intersting. The scene where he distracts the basilisk with a stone was cut from the version I saw.
I‘m sorry for the basilisk 😢i like snakes 🐍
