    I've had my APX A1 for a month now. I absolutely love it. Very accurate and ergo friendly gun

    Beretta is doing an amazing job with the APX series in terms of features combined with rock solid reliability and reasonable price.

    Great video . Have you had a chance to shoot the new Apx A1 Compact . If so what’s your thoughts on it compared to the full size . .

    I guess that I will have to pick up the Beretta, then I will have them all! All are awesome!

      Highly recommend it. This past Saturday I shot the APX A1, Glock 19, Sig M17, & Colt 1911.
      The APX A1 was my favorite by a large margin. It greatly exceeded my expectations.

    Well, they are all well established guns, they all shoot very good, matter of preferences. Have shot all of those except the P10-C. Fan of the VP9 and Walter, both very good ergonomics more that the the rest perhaps. The PDP flips a little more than I would like to, VP9 has a very good trigger but being too comfortable to shoot it gets me thinking that the more comfortable it is, the less control I have over it, again, my own personal thoughts and opinions. I find the APX to have the perfect balance and comfort for me, purchased one when the first APX was available for purchase, it is the softest 9mm I have shot, then the APX A1 came and bought one also and of course the A1 Tactical recently came out and mine is in order, on top of that all the extra features of the APX A1 Tactical for that price is incredible, APX is way underrated in my opinion, so it was the PX4 Storm and still is. My next favorite would be the VP9, it feels and shoot the same way.
    Anyways, let me just finish saying that many people accused of being a Beretta fan boy, maybe but to someone was born in Italy, the choice is almost obvious, just love Beretta handguns.

    The apx a1 is the only modular firearm out the group, albeit a pain to change

    • @miketaylorID1
      @miketaylorID1 ปีที่แล้ว

      Was a pain at first. But I gots the technique down now! Need-a tiny little 2” flat head screwdriver and a punch. Get that spring off the pin with the screwdriver and pop it out. Easy peezy!! Just swapped a compact for a centurion frame! Love it!

    APX A1 is basically the same size as a G45 (shorter than a 17, but taller than a 19). However, the APX A1 is $289 with 4 mags (after rebate). So you could get 2 of them and 8 mags for the price of one G45 and 3 mags.
    But the APX requires you to buy an optic plate and the optic sits high; also, the aftermarket sucks for it, so it’s hard to find sights that co-witness through an optic (only heard of one set, the “tactical” OEMs).

    You should of compared recoil, muzzle flip, trigger feel and weight because I'm seeing the APX 1 having a pretty heavy trigger at 6.5lbs so compared to the P10c, VP9 and PDP, it's not even close

    • @Steve_MP5
      @Steve_MP5  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It doesn’t feel that heavy though. Could be the redesign they were talking about, but it feels like 5 or less. 🤷🏻‍♂️

      @@Steve_MP5 I see, either way, good job by Beretta. APX A1 should do well in the market selling wise.

    • @finalcountdown7658

      It has a 6lb trigger which is standard and recommend for a carry gun with a short trigger pull and no thumb safety. I own 3 APX handgun. The 6lb trigger out the box will drop down to 5.5lb or a little less.

    • @finalcountdown7658
      @finalcountdown7658 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Furthermore, the P10c and VP9 triggers are between 5 to 5.5lb from the factory. Glocks, M&Ps, Sig P365, Springfield XD Mod2, etc are all the standard 5lb-6lb.
      With that said, using the factory Beretta Green Competition Striker Spring ($10 +/-) , the trigger weight on the APX will drop down to 4lb once worn in.

    • @JacksonWalter735
      @JacksonWalter735 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@finalcountdown7658 does the APX A1 come with the green striker by default or is it a different one compared to the original APX? A few break down videos I've seen shown a green striker, but I'm not sure if it is the Competition Firing Pin Spring Assembly that's on Beretta's website

    Are you renting these guns at the range or did you buy them? Just looking at what's in the box could've addressed some of your mistakes regarding grip panels. Plus when talking about paying for the name, there's no older or established name than Beretta. By hundreds of years in fact.

      @@shootsouthpaw7771 lol. What I meant about the name is “Glock”. People gotta have a Glock because it’s a Glock. Pop culture. These days Beretta is the lesser brand because it’s not mentioned all the time in rap songs.

      @@Steve_MP5 fanboys. it's really kinda silly. With price being a factor, gen2 APX aka jax9/0ff lol, is far and away #1. Anyone that has been around guns for awhile should be able to tune and polish their own triggers to suit. If not, study a bit, watch some videos, blog, talk to experts, and learn.

    Your Glock comparison is completely misleading... I own every gun you spoke of in this video, and i would choose any of them before the APX A1 all day. Price point is not important when it comes to a consistent, reliable carry gun, and the APX a1 is neither.

      @r1sabotage ปีที่แล้ว

      LOL, this guy's a Berett hater. The Beretta APX A1 is pretty nice. All these guns are splitting hairs with their differences. The only issue I had with the Beretta is that the trigger pinches your trigger finger when pulled, but I solved that issue by filing down the pinch point. Also, better to buy the non optic version and buy another optic brand, that burris 3 is not the best. The last questionable thing about the APX A1 is that the recoil spring sounds like an old spring mattress when you rack the slide, but that has no effect on the performance, just a squeaky sound.
