Hate to blow the bubble but Vennilave Vennilave itself wasn't exactly an original dance number...You can see many of the same moves from the the song and dance, Love is here to stay in An American in Paris...At the very least, Vennilave Vennilave was inspired from that movie...
@@sargunan I think any dance in the moonlight, with two lovers and some sort of "Classic Hollywood" style of dance steps can't be really considered original and would trigger the same memories. Someone is dancing with an umbrella in the rain?...boom...Gene Kelly! Our minds work in a strange way... We make connections according what we know and find familiar. I would have never mentioned "La La Land" because i've never watched that. My first though was "Vennilave" not because of the steps, or the homage to Hollywood Musicals, but because it's from another (iconic) Tamil film!
