Seeing this live was utterly insane, those noisy swells of sound seemed capable to crsuh the entire building
when I took off my earplugs, I transcended. What an experience...

unlike many other vids, this one actually captures (at least to some extent) the horror of the live show.
Michael Gira is a fucking Genius!! He is conducting and storytelling while creating a relentless sonic fury, that can rise and fall with a sweep of his hand! Those sonic swells can split the universe in two! My God…SWANS are BACK!!!
Seeing them in September. If the show is on this level, it'll be legendary

I guess that makes the live shows that much more impactful. Kinda seems like the environment swans’ music is intended for anyway

Guys swans are literally back strong. Leaving meaning is by no means bad, but seeing this really raises my excitement about the new swans album

@@thebigpecolaman @lorenzo B eh ma se fai tanti live cosi può avere problemi. Io ero letteralmente sotto al palco e sono tornato a casa con le orecchie che mi fischiavano (anche il giorno dopo).
Just came back from a show here in la. My ears rang for more than 5 hours lol. Def louder than boris. Mike gira was telling zoomers while performing to put down their phones😂. He didnt stop the show he just did it while performing it was so funny. Dude also signed autograph and did a little chit chat to the fans. Didnt expect him to do that. Nice dude.

Saw the Swans in the late 80's. A little Goth girl made the mistake of standing right at the PA. 3 songs in, she just vomited. I swear I saw Gira grin as she did it.
There's something demonic about this performance. Something about the white and blue/red light and the looming darkness in the background, and how it all comes together with the sound, makes it seem like something truly evil is seeping from the band. It's like the world has already ended and this is all that's left.
I know Gira probably doesn't want the music to come off as "evil", but that's just the vibe I get from watching this.
