Yes, solos and sub-units give the members a break. Their concerts last at least 3 hours. The PTD concerts had NO solos or sub-unit songs. The members decided that since it had been two years since their last concert they wanted to be on stage together the whole time. They did comment that it was really tiring. They did have three videos made for the concert to allow for costume changes. And this concert was 3 hours long.
His voice and style suits the jazz kinda vibes and it so happens that he loves jazz so much. That man is a walking silk machine! Singularity was something no army was prepared for! It just held us by the neck and never let go.

One of my favorite things about Singularity is how he liked to make every single performance a little different each time so each audience got a new experience. He’d slightly change a hand motion or a facial expression to create variety. He also had to perform this song after several other songs with intense choreo without a true break and he did so well. Singularity is one of my ultimate faves, Tae's voice is just... dark chocolate, smooth and seductive. Ughhhh I love his voice so so so much, especially in Singularity. Something interesting about the lyrics is that they can be read as a conversation between Narcissus and Echo from Roman Mythology and Ovid's "Metamorphosis"! I'm not sure if it is a coincidence or not but with RM writing these lyrics I wouldn't be surprised if it was intentional, seeing how the OFTEN use mythology in their albums. BTS usually put their albums out in series that cover a concept or theme. This song is from their love yourself series which is three albums long and the albums tell an overall story. The first album is called Her and it is about a love or relationship that seems like it is destined to be. This song singularity is the first song in the second album TEAR which is where we begin to see that the person in this perfect relationship is starting to realise that they have been changing who they are to make the other person happy mainly because the person changing thinks, they themselves are not good enough for the other person. The last album is Answer and it is where the person realizes that they are in an unhealthy relationship with this person because they don't have a healthy relationship with themselves and that they must learn to love themselves before they can truly love and be loved in a healthy relationship. Most of their album series tell stories if you listen to them in order.

I love this video because the live band mix is incredible and Tae is sooooo sensual in it. The only downside is that while it showcases the love band mix pretty well, it doesn’t showcase Tae’s voice very well, cause the crowd and backing track is so loud. But yeah, Tae’s voice is one of a kind and his sex appeal is 🔥. You should definitely check out the lyrics though! V is the jazzy boy, his deep voice is perfect for that. You need to watch Stigma!! For long videos (oh, my dear boy, to us, long videos are 2+ hours 😃) I would recommend to hear an entire mixtape or initial albums. I.e. RM's Mono or Jhope's Hope World. Suga is too intense to hear an entire mixtape in just one video... We all would be emotionally destroyed... but his diversity is sooo huge that a long video with his solos and collabs songs would be awesome!
I absolutely love this song! Not just because it's an incredible song, but because whenever I feel a panic attack coming or try to reset after a one, this is my go to! I'll listen to it and feel like I'm no longer drowning. 💜
I had the pleasure of seeing this live in concert during their tour and it was FANTASTIC, one of my top favorites. The whole mood of the crowd changed and everybody just lost their breath! He'd change up his dance moves and expressions during each concert too so it was always different. The performance went straight into Fake Love afterwards, impossible to recover from lol. Definitely check out the MV and lyrics when you get the chance! As for a video recommendation, Serendipity by Jimin & Epiphany by Jin are next for solo songs. My personal recommendation afterwards is the group Daechwita + IDOL and group Chicken Noodle Soup performances from their SOWOOZOO concert!

They didn't separate in the last couple of shows though, cause we haven't seen them for such a long time because of C0vid and they wanted to spend the whole show with us as 7. 💜

I went to the BTS Love Yourself tour in Chicago in 2018 with my husband. He took pictures on his phone and sent them to my niece (who's also an Army) all night long as we promised to update her. He loved all the performances, BUT when V performed Singularity, HIS JAW LITERALLY DROPPED, HIS EYES WERE FIXED ON THE STAGE AND HE FORGOT TO TAKE PHOTOS. I kid you not, V's stage presence are just THAT DAMN AMAZING. There were way less screamings in the audience up til the end - people were moaning instead.

Each time he performs this he does it differently. I think it was after this that he was officially made part of the dance line. He certainly has the moves. Taehyung’s voice is magic but then all seven have such distinctive voices. I agree with you that this sounds so intimate. This is a wonderful performance.

A lot of Tae’s solos are more vibe/mood music but there are all amazing. Singularity shows off his deep voice so if you wanna check out his higher register (also outstanding) you should definitely check out Stigma. His OST Christmas Tree (not really much to do with Xmas so is an all year round song 🤣) I think shows off his complete range. But all his solos and all other members solos are amazing. Yes, they usually always do a solo song each during concerts. PTD was different as it was after the Covid hiatus and they wanted to do nothing but group songs. RM commented on how much harder the PTD shows were because they didn't get breaks like this during the show to recover.
Each tour is to promote a specific album or series of albums, so they perform the solo songs when there are solo songs on the album. They have pre-recorded segments that they play at certain points during the concert to allow them breaks and costume changes. The others getting a break while one performs is more of a side effect, I think, than something deliberate for that break.
I'm so excited for this reaction! Tae's voice is such an incredibly sultry, smooth, sexy sound. It's hard listening to him sing wholly while the crowd is screaming, but watching him perform sets the mood, too. You'll hear a much better sound without the crowd. Yes, solos and sub-units give the members a break. Their concerts last at least 3 hours. The PTD concerts had NO solos or sub-unit songs. The members decided that since it had been two years since their last concert they wanted to be on stage together the whole time. They did comment that it was really tiring. They did have three videos made for the concert to allow for costume changes. And this concert was 3 hours long.

I’m so happy to see this reaction! Tae is my ult bias. He’s such a deep and unique person with a beautiful and warm soul. One of my favorite things about Singularity is how he liked to make every single performance a little different each time so each audience got a new experience. He’d slightly change a hand motion or a facial expression to create variety. He also had to perform this song after several other songs with intense choreo without a true break and he did so well. Tae and the other members are such hard workers and amazing humans. I’m so happy you love them like we do 💜

Singularity is one of my ultimate faves, Tae's voice is just... dark chocolate, smooth and seductive. Ughhhh I love his voice so so so much, especially in Singularity.
Something interesting about the lyrics is that they can be read as a conversation between Narcissus and Echo from Roman Mythology and Ovid's "Metamorphosis"! I'm not sure if it is a coincidence or not but with RM writing these lyrics I wouldn't be surprised if it was intentional, seeing how the OFTEN use mythology in their albums.
BTS usually put their albums out in series that cover a concept or theme. This song is from their love yourself series which is three albums long and the albums tell an overall story. The first album is called Her and it is about a love or relationship that seems like it is destined to be. This song singularity is the first song in the second album TEAR which is where we begin to see that the person in this perfect relationship is starting to realise that they have been changing who they are to make the other person happy mainly because the person changing thinks, they themselves are not good enough for the other person. The last album is Answer and it is where the person realizes that they are in an unhealthy relationship with this person because they don't have a healthy relationship with themselves and that they must learn to love themselves before they can truly love and be loved in a healthy relationship. Most of their album series tell stories if you listen to them in order.

I love this video because the live band mix is incredible and Tae is sooooo sensual in it. The only downside is that while it showcases the love band mix pretty well, it doesn’t showcase Tae’s voice very well, cause the crowd and backing track is so loud. But yeah, Tae’s voice is one of a kind and his sex appeal is 🔥. You should definitely check out the lyrics though! For long videos (oh, my dear boy, to us, long videos are 2+ hours 😃) I would recommend to hear an entire mixtape or initial albums. I.e. RM's Mono or Jhope's Hope World. Suga is too intense to hear an entire mixtape in just one video... We all would be emotionally destroyed... but his diversity is sooo huge that a long video with his solos and collabs songs would be awesome!

I had the pleasure of seeing this live in concert during their tour and it was FANTASTIC, one of my top favorites. The whole mood of the crowd changed and everybody just lost their breath! He'd change up his dance moves and expressions during each concert too so it was always different. The performance went straight into Fake Love afterwards, impossible to recover from lol. Definitely check out the MV and lyrics when you get the chance!
As for a video recommendation, Serendipity by Jimin & Epiphany by Jin are next for solo songs. My personal recommendation afterwards is the group Daechwita + IDOL and group Chicken Noodle Soup performances from their SOWOOZOO concert!

Referring to your question, they always have a sequence in their live shows in which they perform solo and then also only the vocal line and only the rapline. They didn't separate in the last couple of shows though, cause we haven't seen them for such a long time because of C0vid and they wanted to spend the whole show with us as 7. 💜
Taehyung loves jazz music, you will find a lot of jazz influence in his solo songs. Singularity is a very deep and meaningful song. I don't think you had the captions on (if there were any) but it's worth reading a translation of the lyrics.

Yes, they all have solos in bts albums and the rappers have released Solo mixtapes too. They do release a lot of solo works for free too just for fans on soundcloud. I went to the BTS Love Yourself tour in Chicago in 2018 with my husband. He took pictures on his phone and sent them to my niece (who's also an Army) all night long as we promised to update her. He loved all the performances, BUT when V performed Singularity, HIS JAW LITERALLY DROPPED, HIS EYES WERE FIXED ON THE STAGE AND HE FORGOT TO TAKE PHOTOS. I kid you not, V's stage presence are just THAT DAMN AMAZING. There were way less screamings in the audience up til the end - people were moaning instead.

So glad you got to check this out. Singularity Tae is lethal I tell you 🤣. He has such a smooth, deep voice that you can’t help but fall in love with it. A lot of Tae’s solos are more vibe/mood music but there are all amazing. Singularity shows off his deep voice so if you wanna check out his higher register (also outstanding) you should definitely check out Stigma. His OST Christmas Tree (not really much to do with Xmas so is an all year round song 🤣) I think shows off his complete range. But all his solos and all other members solos are amazing. Yes, they usually always do a solo song each during concerts. PTD was different as it was after the Covid hiatus and they wanted to do nothing but group songs. RM commented on how much harder the PTD shows were because they didn't get breaks like this during the show to recover.
It took me a long time to figure out why V's eyes are so interesting. One of his eyes has a monolid and one is double lidded.
Each tour is to promote a specific album or series of albums, so they perform the solo songs when there are solo songs on the album. They have pre-recorded segments that they play at certain points during the concert to allow them breaks and costume changes. The others getting a break while one performs is more of a side effect, I think, than something deliberate for that break.

I'm so excited for this reaction! Tae's voice is such an incredibly sultry, smooth, sexy sound. It's hard listening to him sing wholly while the crowd is screaming, but watching him perform sets the mood, too. You'll hear a much better sound without the crowd.
