Emotionally demaged Bfr they will be sad but for multiple days/weeks no ofc the younger kids may be sad but I’m pretty sure the older kids can take it.

@@HyunIvr the constant reinforcement of the idea that your not your parents favourite child will lead to psychological issues. for the parents to flat out say (for example) ‘paislee is my favourite’ would actually have emotionally damaging effects on the other kids. it’s a massive thing to be told that your not your parents favourite. no parents should have favourites but if they do they should certainly not be telling the kids who’s the favourite. it just leads to extremely hurt feeling for the kids and an extreme sibling rivalry which isn’t what you want in a family.
no matter your age you always want to be loved by your parents. so the older kids might put a brave face on. but realistically being out rightly told your not your parents favourite will hurt your feelings no matter your age. especially in a family with so many siblings there’s already competition.
