You can tell how much respect they have for each other by the way they talk, listen and interact. They're chemistry is going to be out of this world in the show
i can’t wait for more seasons, the lore is so interesting and the characters have charisma like the whole matriarchy within the legacy clan and the mystery behind the guardian guild, i’m excited for more!
WOW, 11 comments when I came. That's sad. I just binge watched it. I'd love to see a 2nd season, but I'm not hopeful. Queer women positive shows have a tendency to be cancelled on Netflix and it seems right now canceling gay is the IT thing to do across the board. Bury your gays, bury your gay shows. I love that it was made. SOME of the acting,,,from other characters needed some HELP. i AM surprised they were allowed to play those characters with their acting on that level. It was like watching Vasson from the walking dead, the first few times they gave her a line. It was a WTF moment. Well-, lets not dwell on it. I'm happy for them that they got the role and hopefully they'll work at it. Positive thoughts and positive energy. I'm only three minutes in, i'm not gonna watch any more of the interview, but I'm noticing a trend about not talking about the elephant in the room, a queer show with no queer content. I'm not digging that agenda. It happened with The World to Come and I absolutely hated all those interviews and while this was not as bad. The avoidance is palpable, and I want to tell people. "we are NOT there yet". The LGBTQ community is not there yet, and it seems like the industry is trying to cater to str8 people, cater to a small group of people. If we didn't want to here about queerity, why would we watch and look for queer content?? if it doesn't matter. Representation matters, it's what we've been fighting for. I fight every day, i think in the same idea as industry is TRYING to be. I'm out and I act like "it's normal". I create boots on the ground representation and i act like the world is the way we WANT it to be. I know it's not exactly yet, but if I act like my str8 counter parts, like it's the most normal thing in the world. Like eggs for breakfast, i am making and CREATING that world. I think that's what people want to do, shift the focus from the character being queer and have it rest on the character itself. it's too fast. We have barely had ENOUGH representation, still don't have enough. How many lesbian leads?? not gay male. Lesbian leads, lesbian main stream leads?? For you to not discuss it. We still wanna here what it was like, the process you took to become the character, the WHOLE character, make the WHOLE character a WHOLE person, i'd love to hear the disection of the WHOLE person. Let me tell you a "secret", when I watch anything Lesbian, read anything lesbian, i know when a man was directing, a man or a str8 woman is writing. The character isn't authentic. I just want folks to understand, that how they write the script and play the character, making everything more socially advanced than it is, is different from reality. The characters and their comfort is beautiful. It's what girls need, to not be ashamed of who they are. To shoot their shot and not make it a thing (but safely, cause we do NOT live in a fantasy world) but it's good for them to feel like they can be who they are. They watch it on tv and I reenforce it in real life, so that the world will change. But not talking about it as an actor,,,,i want you to know, it's still important. because they still need that positive feed back, that representation. and people are no longer representing us in the interviews. They'll discuss everything about a character and movie BUT that. A lesbian lead is still a big deal, but we don't talk about it. I loved Batwoman, the new bat woman and she TALKED about it. and i understood what was happening on screen and off, the picture was complete for me. it was WHOLE. With avoid the queerity in the interviews trope, now the character is missing something, the source and inspiration. Forgive me if I missed something in the interview, once I felt avoided, it was no longer worth watching. We'll see if it gets a 2nd season, but with the bury your gay shows trend going on, i'm not hopeful (SEE-, representation matters, THIS, cancellations, THAT is the reality, so I say again - we're not there yet).
Respectfully I think you're assuming saying that they want to "bury the gay shows". It's very simple how it works like everything else. If there were more views of the show they would make more money off it and they would make more seasons. Netflix will keep the shows that get the most views and make them the most money. It's really that simple. No reason to make it something It's not.
Netflix better bring this show back for season 2 with a bigger budget.
You can tell how much respect they have for each other by the way they talk, listen and interact. They're chemistry is going to be out of this world in the show
The fact that Sarah know that Imani is the right one to playing Cal just at the first time seeing her is so cute....
They both look so genuinely happy promoting the show 😭 Ya’ll better support the heck of this show!!!!
I really hope it gets a second season
The way Sarah Catherine looks at Imani, I can'ttt!!!
Me, too
So the way that Sarah Catherine remarks "That was thrilled for me to play something that i'm truly not... a Vampire..." #inlove
if this show doesn't get renewed i'm taking Netflix to court for hate crimes
i can’t wait for more seasons, the lore is so interesting and the characters have charisma like the whole matriarchy within the legacy clan and the mystery behind the guardian guild, i’m excited for more!
I can't wait for this show. I know it's gonna be amazing

As a st8 male. I agree with a lot of your points. Thanks for verbalizing the avoidance I was seeing in the interview too👏🏿👏🏿

Excellent interview, thank you so much for asking lovely questions. I’ve watched a lot of their junkets and this was a refreshing conversation.
Both are so beautiful 🥺
This came out on my bday so if Netflix cancels it I WILL take it as hate crime 🙂

It's a LESBIAN show, not a queer show, stop the erasure of lesbians.
