I was very sorry for Sohone at that moment. He behaves quite bravely, but deep down he experiences doubt, fear, despair and insecurity, which the snakes took advantage of against him. It's good that Phospho was nearby, I would not want to see the battles of Mune and depraved Sohone. When the former Guardian of the Moon died, I felt like crying. This is the saddest moment of the whole cartoon 😔💔
Glim and Mune's romantic moment together in the dream realm is so beautiful, in both animation and setting. It's definitely one of my favourite moments in this movie. You can tell these two have genuinely fallen in love with each other. 🥰 Mune's words "I like dreaming with you." was so tender and sweet. Glim's silent but soft response made it clear that she likes dreaming with him too. 🥺😍 Pity their first kiss was interrupted, but it made their real first kiss worth the wait. Their shy and awkward responses of "I... had a funny dream." and "Yeah...uh, me too." was so cute. Even Mune letting Glim hold the moon shows how much he trusts her. I reckon she'll make a wonderful partner for him, not just romantically, but also in guarding the moon. In a way, she's much of a Guardian as Mune and Sahone are.
Poor Sahone acts very macho and confident, but deep down he's plagued with so much insecurity that the snakes took advantage of it. Luckily Necross was there to save him. It's so sad what happened to Necross. 😔 Still, at least he died a true hero, and as result of his compassion and courage, taught Sahone the true meaning of selflessly and humility.
I think part of the reason Sohone's corruption is slower and looks more painful is because his goal doesn't match with what the snakes are saying. When Leiune was corrupted temporarily, the snakes whispered negative encouragement to achieve his goals. (Become the guardian of the moon.) However, Sohone's goal is to take back the sun and restore it to it's place. The snakes are stabbing at his insecurities instead. Which would be much more impactful and hurt him at a deeper level. It's why his vocal chords deepen and become more rough as well. Sohone also immediately felt threatened by the snakes and recognised they were an enemy. Leiune was approached by two on their own and didn't trap him like this. He was less panicked and more curious than anything else. Leiune also attracted the snakes first with his already negative thoughts and hurt. Sohone was not in this mindset. So yes, the anger is being forced into him in these scenes.
This movie had some excellent style and design. Though I don't remember the voice work/script as being very good... Though it seems okay in this scene. I just remember it being a little elementary and cheesy. But I thoroughly enjoyed the movie for its mesmerizing style and easy to follow plot. It was calming in a way.
I would have loved an animated series with these characters. There are great material to expand upon. More shenanigans with Mune as he gets older. Sohon becoming more mature and working with his ego (likely revisiting that corruption arc). Glim's knowledge of these ancient books she brought up often would be more useful throughout the series. Maybe her gaining more independence aside from being a starstruck damsel with her smarts and resourcefulness. Leeyoon getting an episode too for him ginding his place in the world. Heck, maybe have some new characters show up as well. Some younger characters as well as older characters to help or cause chaos in the world.

There were two English dubs, one in 2014 with mostly Canadian voice actors, and one in 2017 that replaced some of the Canadian voices with American celebrities. I can't tell which version this is, though.

The actors who played Mune, Glim, their respective fathers, Krrrack, Zucchini (whoever that character is) and the snakes are the same actors in *both* English dubs. Is it just me or were the voices in the movie changed? I had seen this movie way, way back. And none of these voices are familiar. And to me I can notice that cause I'm somewhat of a movie binger and when i watch movies I often remember quotes and how things were spoken, specific flairs or tones that I liked. I can requote lots and lots of movies by heart, its a somewhat annoying quirk but something I enjoy having. And I do not remember any of the voices or quotes in these clips. A lot of them feel like they were changed entirely??
