Who said that? Gustavo was warmly welcomed into the community from the very first days. The real one, who underrated is Сarl Noren because of his mid-tracks: Donacdum, Bullet Rain, etc.
Who's shoes? Gustavo can't fill in Viklund's shoes because he never was. He's paving his own music style and legacy in the Payday franchise - He's filling his own shoes. The thing is though: his shoes are just as shiny as Viklund's.
Yeah, in PAYDAY 2 Shadow Raid there was a similar feature, where the music track amped up as stealth progressed, looks like they made that a stealth default since people LOVED that.
@@crftpig let me clear this up. Shadow raid does NOT take place in the murky station, thats a train station not the warehouse, although the station may be close to the shadow raid warehhouse. It is ALL stealth only heists, so yes its shadow raid, and its also murky station so your right about both airbomb. Also additional the yacht heist and breaking feds
Loved the aggressive drums on this instead of the dubstep-type beat and the guitar, it really creates the feeling of a western cowboy shootout with modern guns type of stuff lol.
What i was hoping for with payday 3 music was for it to have multiple stealth phases like the stealth only tracks while also at the same time having control anticipation and assault. My wish has been granted.
@@skitz0phrenic Ikr? My imagination of an assault phase for pulse would be like a loud dubstep and orchestral hybrid, similar in nature to evil eye but less cinematic and in minor key
I didn't expect stealth tracks to be segmented like Loud tracks, so when I first opened the vault and I heard that groovy guitar kick in, I was amazed. And then the second pickup when you bag the money ? Man, the timing of it all is amazing. It's like the music just tells you: "There we go! The pay day is here!"
And Now We Wait from Shadow Raid actually did this too, the bass kicked in once you entered the compound and got into full swing once you enter the vault.
Stealth 3 sounds like a control intro, while 4 and 5 definitely sound like a control period, not a quiet stealth track... Interesting because there's a separate control section too... Definitely has the influence of the Texas Heat tracks I'd say more than anything, indicative of Gustavo's style
Those tracks start playing when you're far into the heist (and search in progress, I think?), at that point, you've definitely left a lot of evidence behind, you know it's only a matter of time until something goes wrong. Personalls, I think the music perfectly encapsulates that feeling of holding out on borrowed time!
They're part of the stealth progression. You get progression with each stage/objective that goes closer to the end of the stealth run. Phase 4 plays when you finally open the vault door and start unlocking the deposit boxes and Phase 5 is when you open the fenced-off area in the vault, disable the dye packs and start packing the actual money bags. It fits with a stealth track 100%, but PAYDAY 2 had a singular part of the track that was looped over and over for the actual heist and it was more akin to ambience, but they're making a separate progression for the stealth tracks. And let me tell you, the way Phase 4 and Phase 5 fit when you finally unlock the vault is majestic!
What is seriously underrated and what I believe to be a complete disrespect to payday and Gustavo in general is that apparently no one has picked up that this is a razormind remake probably the most iconic song in payday 2.
As much as I loved Simon Viklund's tracks for their uniqueness, I think I personally prefer Gustavo's new tracks because there seems to be a lot more storytelling going on in the tracks, like the characters current motivations and the flow of the story are packed into the tracks. I think Gustavo might be a lot more familiar with the source material than Simon was? Because I think I've heard somewhere before that Simon never really played Payday or got into it that much.
If it helps, in an Interview with Red Archer Live, Gustavo admits that he plays the Heist (at least the Payday 2 heists given the time of the Interview) to get a feel of how the heist plays, feels, etc. and then composes, Or perhaps while composing
Already the most fire song to ever drop in the PAYDAY franchise and the game isn't even out. Beats even the most certified bangers like On the Road, Evil Eye, Razormind, Break the Rules, and Ode to Greed.
Man, it's been years since i've first played payday 2, but holy hell this one already fits the series vibe perfectly Not only that it's assault version has quite the similar beat to "bullet rain" on 10:50 Gustavo making a promising *banger*
I keep relistening and like the music and the phases of the music feel like they go along with exactly what's happening during the heist and the assault phase music at the beginning feels like your mowing through cops and then around 12:34 towards the end its like you cleared the cops in the streets and are now trying to run to the van avoiding snipers and praying there's no Dozer right at the van
It's the entire track, including every portion dedicated to the heists progression. If you enjoy a certain part I'm sure you can clip it or find it on TH-cam, I.e. the assault portion
In payday 2 if loud was an option I would go loud, because there was not separate stealth tracks like in the stealth only heists, the music of payday has always been the vibe setter for me, if the heists OST is mainly loud, I go loud, mainly because of just how damn good the music is, now in payday 3 I can play more so how I want, while I could obviously in payday 2, like I said, losing out on the banging OST going stealth made me not want to stealth edit: though still probably going to end up going loud because I've always preferred the action packed nature of the loud tracks, but now going stealth doesn't feel, idk, I don't want to say boring, so less engaging is what I'll go with
Literally banging my head during Assault lamo. This soundtrack truly a banger and the best ever from the game. I like how the Stealth elevate bit by bit to build intense. Stealth Phase 4 was good though. This is why I don't end the heist too early because the music is just too good lamo.
