- In this weeks video we start on my 1973 Toyota Hilux build. I pull apart three seperate vehicles to create one crazy beast of a Toyota mini truck. Using a chassis from a 2001 Toyota 4Runner, a drivetrain from a 2002 V8 Toyota Tundra, and finally the body of my 1973 Toyota Hilux. This was an absolutely massive project and I'm so grateful to be sharing it with you.

Where would you roadtrip the ultimate Hilux?
NH to that 05' stepside bed.
Havasu
Coast to Coast on as many 0.5 mph trails as possible.
@ that would be one awesome road-trip!
@redlineranch. I'd take that rig to my drive way lol
My man is a freaking 1 man army!!! Holy shit... he did chasi-engine- body swap/fab on his own .. 😮
Gotta do what it takes to chase your dreams!
I appreciate the support!
The stuff on this channel is incredible and I am shocked you do not have hundreds of thousands of subscribers
I'm happy I just found this channel. I just used a 3g4r to v6 swap my shell of a 1st gen tacoma which im maybe a week away from completing. I also daily a 3g4r and now I'm looking for an 89-92.5 ls 400 to 1uz swap my subaru. It's awesome to find other old toyota gurus! Keep it up man!
Great job
Hahaha I was literally thinking "I bet he's watching this and cringing at how many times he said engine mounts " then you cut in and said "yes I'm cringing" 😂😂😂 that was a good laugh I needed.
I was laughing at myself while I was editing, thinking about how I hadn’t even watched the footage till months later and now there wasn’t much I could do about it lol
@redlineranch. haha that just makes it genuine 👍🏼
TH-cam just makes me feel lazy af. I don't even want to do my oil change and this guy is pulling 3 trucks apart to make one💀
Probably because basic maintenance no fun!
@redlineranch. for sure! This is genuine entertainment for me
Nah you are lazy in general
@@E_JIM3N3Z11b maybe its the 60 hour work weeks makin me lazy💀
@LitCrease sounds like an excuse
Agree with comments unbelievable content, keep it up!
Awesome - I'm going to love this build. V8 in a mini truck!!
Thanks man! It’s going to be a fun one! Can’t wait to take this thing on some rad adventures!
I have a 2010 Tacoma 4.0 with over 420,000 miles on it. NEVER been rebuilt, engine or transmission. Shoot, the valve covers never even been off. And it has not had a easy life, AT ALL. I LOVE YOUR HI-LUX builds!!!!! Personally more a fan of the tires not sticking out. I also know that's easier said than done... Keep it up please. Wish I could afford to support the builds.
That Tacoma sounds like a champ! I’m glad you’re enjoying the build, one day I might do some custom bodywork for the tires I’m not super sure yet though!
@ Do you have shirts, hoodies or anything? Would love to buy a hi-lux imaged redline ranch one..
@@MannyV74same!
Great project!
Appreciate that, it’s been a lot of fun!
Dope build as always my guy
Glad you’re enjoying the content!
As always good vid💪🏽
Appreciate the support!

Appreciate the support! Glad you’re enjoying the content!
Damn! Truly amazing build!
Thank you very much! It’s a fun truck!
Awesome content bro, I appreciate the type of hobby you share
Glad you like it, building this truck has been awesome!
@redlineranch. Indeed I know you are legit on the precision that is tight bro, and I like the classic yotas, I'm in Southern California and I'm going to start looking for a classic Corolla as those years of Corolla are dope
Takes lots of time and patience. With knowledge
Very true! It’s all about taking it one step at a time!
💪💪💪
🤘🏼
Bingo , let’s go
❤
PLEASE show the 1st gen 4runner again! I just finished this series
Was this the project your busy with. Before you can look at my jeep. Keep it. It takes a special person to do work like that
Yes, this and a few other projects have me extremely busy!
@ no I totally understand. If you ever need an extra hand on anything. I’m retired by disability. So now i just do electrical on the side for my self so i can make time whenever. Just wanted to put that out there because I can’t be more that 30 minutes from me if your by Albuquerque.
*Body Mounts*
Love this build. How much did you pay for each of the three donor vehicles? Keep up the fun builds!
Did I just time warp, or have I already watched this, like weeks ago?
No, this is the in depth build series, some overlap in information, but goes into the actual build process further with a ton more detail!
Day 4 of reminding you to change the LBJ (OEM) on that rig. 3rd gens are notorious for LBJ failure
That’s definitely on the to do list! It’s going to get a full front end rebuild! I want to do that and an alignment before I put new tires on it.
Are you in idaho?
No, I’m in the southwest!
I wonder if you could fabricate a Cummins into one of them
that would be the dream
Or don’t they have Toyota diesel engines in em in other countries maybe one of them
To bad it couldn’t fit a straight 6 put a diesel in her
I want to diesel swap something one day soon!
you don't need steering 🤣🤣
Is this just a re-edit of already posted content? 😢
It's the full, in depth build series, not a glossed over short version. lots of people wanted more detail on the build process.
@@redlineranch.Gotcha. I already watched a full hour of this build and was excited for what's next after waiting 8 days. Still a sick build though, can't wait to see new content on it
If you're taking suggestions, maybe consider releasing future compilation/in-depth videos outside of your regular schedule, like some channels do
@ I totally understand, it’s been so busy, I do all the filming and editing solo, I do want to get new content on it out soon!
@@redlineranch.you are killing it. Grinding is life!
New video and the wheels are STILL NOT CENTERED IN THE WHEEL WELLS.
@@Max-ik9qb why don’t you show me how to do it with your v8 swapped hilux? Oh wait, You don’t have one? Wild.
I've seen like 50 other YT'ers claim they're building the "ultimate" truck...Whose truck is actually the ultimate truck???
Mine, obviously! Cant beat a Toyota V8 that’s also in the million mile engine list!
