Glad to be a source of inspiration! Not sure if you have seen this but I went back and properly recorded this track a few years ago. th-cam.com/video/rWR1wG1TVDs/w-d-xo.htmlsi=JziMAQ_fdgb8EEsi
this is the kit that tought me how to sequence music. i use ableton now with both synths vsts and controllers. i recently picked up an mpc again and ive missed its limitations. so much good comes from limitations. i start on the mpc now and arrange and mix in ableton live. the mpc one is good but i certainly miss that heavy old 2000xl.
usually a rhodes sampled playing a jazz chord or a Juno 60 sampled. Thanks for the input and thanks for listening! Ill mess around with it see what I can get out of it.
Really nice arrangement, I hope u recorded that into something.. I luv the MPC. I own the 2500 & would never part with it. I made the mistake once & sold my 2000 back in the day & regretted it ever since.. Something about these machines that make them so dope. They truly r amazing when it comes to programing drums & tracks & I luv the way u can jus sit & arrange & jus play out your arrangements by jus muting things in & out the way u displayed here. Truly a great versatile machine. Keep up the good work. Nice track bro.
Tony, not sure if your still around youtube, but I have finally made a properly tracked version of this track. soundcloud.com/architecture-1/im-your-man-mpc2000xl-deep-house-no2
These were originally hand programmed into the MPC, what i am doing is bringing in and out different MIDI loops via Track Mute mode. The EB16 is installed in this machine, its not the best fx's but they do have a special grainy flavor to them.
I mostly post videos of things ive already mostly polished, then I just manipulate it live. Some days I really feel it in the studio, others I just dont. Hard to capture that for me. But I can explain what I do.
fair enough. your tunes are nice I like em, and im still to complete a track with me MPC. I've done loads of sketch ideas but still realy learning the method and machines. I like your flow and would love to learn a bit more.
believe me or not here was started my history with deep house, I found this vid ~10 years ago when I bought MPC 2000xl for making rap beats

This is ill! True power of MPC 2000XL!
Nicely done, bro. It's great to see someone using the MPC for something other than just the boom bap. Keep being creative, fam.
Reading this comment makes me think 6 years ago youtube was boring :D

Genuinely awesome. Great track! And really great use of that vocal sample.
this is really nice and smooth, raw at the same time, nice atmosphere here...
absolutely. back to the tracks, featuring jackin' drumbeats and moody samples .....
amazing track sir
I recently got a hold of one of these machines. This video is an inspiration to step up my game! Quality stuff.
If you have the imagination you can make anything with these machines.
+Architecture thanks your comment made me want even more this great machine
+Ivan Vibart while I really the MPC 2000XL, the MPC60 is my go to machine for most my work these days. The 12 bit sound takes it to another level.
Architecture some of your samples sound have an s950 sound. Nice work.
I used the S950 for years. Still have mine :). Prefer the MPC60 for most things though.

Keep it up, there are not many house producers with mpc's on youtube, more hip hop styles..We need more
looks like a sick way of making beats. inspiring stuff
Really good vibe. House Music Will Never Die.

NICEEEEE!!!
CCR- heard it through the grapevine
A. Cazanacli it's actually the Marvin Gaye version, but that is the correct song.
class!
Sweeeet tune! :D
Dope beat! Sweat take on the Temptations sample.
Have you put a vid up of putting a track together on your MPCs? Nice work, nice tracks. I'll be watching more 😀

the funky shit!!! yaaa mannn
coool! which instrument you use for the synt? It's a sample pick to the internet or is this achords played by your midi keyboard?
sorry but just intrigued, did you use a loop for the percussion or hit the pads? and have you got the FX card in there?
dope jam! where is that hiss coming from?
you fuckin got it with this!
Fucking sick bro!
Here’s the updated mix of this song. th-cam.com/video/rWR1wG1TVDs/w-d-xo.html
where do you get your synth sounds from man?
This should be on wax!
niceee !!! why you are not using the stereo outputs? sorry just to know and understand…...
+tasss550 It went straight into my Camcorder's mic input. Fairly ghetto, but somehow magic happened and I don't know why it sounds so good!
the temptation?
what were the tips and tricks you were getting your head around?
could you share?
cheers
Mostly just being able to make a complete track just using the MPC 2000. Ive since done the same with the MPC60.
Just curious what the drums/and percussion are from? are they from particular drum machines, or samples of machines?
you can play "track mute" with a song playing? waooo.. i'm discovering new horizons to my jams..
i need this track. is there a downloadlink somewhere? too good man
soundcloud.com/architecture-1/deep-house-no-2-mpc2000xl
Also, 2021 properly tracked version soundcloud.com/architecture-1/im-your-man-mpc2000xl-deep-house-no2
Marvin Gaye, fuckin' groovy
How did you mute your tracks? Thanks.
searching for that oldskool bass sound used in oldskool rave tunes, but it sounds similar to this bass, what is it? basic sine wave? any help
Just a compressed sine wave, that's about it
is the sound coming out directly from your mpc, or you pass it through other stuff?
MPC to Camera with limiter on in camera. Mostly just straight MPC with EB16 FX
Architecture Do you have a video where you show your setup?
Pettfettt plenty. check out MPC 60 Trance to get a good look at my setup
Why do you use mpc2000xl?
I know that mpc2000xl has 32mb of memory. This is enough to do on the MPS 2000xl set for 1 hour? (Only house music)
If your creative enough, you can run a whole hour set on 1MB.
did you program the high hats and drum hits?
Yup. MPC Swing settings are key.
Architecture do you remember what swing settings you used here? Or can you give me an idea of what you’d use for something similar?
I DON'T UNDERSTAND THOSE 8 PEOPLE RIGHT NOW.
What are this for vocal samples?
Have a listen to Marvin Gaye and you will find.
Tutorial pls
sample synth chords from synths than add drums...
hahahhahaha,he is also on facebook...lol,nice stuff though
take a long sample, add lots of attack, filter..volia
hooooooolly crap!
