    • @expatinfrance
      @expatinfrance  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello Yash, Congratulation on the job! First, your employer must request the work authorisation from the DIRECCTE (if you are not going for a Talent Passport status as explained in the video). Once you have it, you will go to the Prefecture to request a change of status to the new Work permit that matches your situation with all the required documents. All the best to you!

    • @expatinfrance
      @expatinfrance  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@yashagarwal746 Hi, if you are not in France at the time of expiry of your current permit (APS), you will need to request the appropriate work visa from the French consulate in India with the work authorisation provided by your new employer.
      Alternatively, you can try to request a return visa from the French consulate but it is usually not recommended to plan trips around the time of your permit renewal. Good luck!

      Hello Esha, thank you for your comment.
      If you do not reside in France you do not need a visa.
      Working for a French company in your home country doesn't require any type of visa.
      And it is not possible to have a resident permit for France if you are not residing in France at least 9 months - more than 6 months could sometimes work but 9 months is the threshold

    HI, great video! There was a lot of good information. My question is would I be able to work in France with a Long stay visa? or could I at least do a job search with it? I have been told that I will be able to work in France with a visa but how can I extend it if I find a job?
    Also, I watch a lot of these types of videos regarding moving to France and visas and such but a lot of them do not mention the financial side to this. How much is enough to make the move to France possible? How much funds should one have so that his Visa does not get denied because of not having enough funds?
    Would Really appreciate it if you could give me more information regarding this.

    Hi Giga, thanks for your video; I found it excellent and valuable. I moved to France recently with the Working-Holiday Visa, and some companies are offering me a job opportunity (full-time). I searched on different pages, and apparently, there is no limitation regarding the working hours. Can you help me to confirm this? Thanks in advance and my best wishes

    • @expatinfrance
      @expatinfrance  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Christopher, Thank you for the feedback. Congrats on the job offer!
      It depends on which bilateral agreement you depend on, so on your nationality. As far as I remember that are no limitation, but it depends if it is for the same employer and on the bilateral agreement applicable. I'd need to know your nationality to confirm. Best to you.

      Hi Christopher, the bilateral agreement doesn't specify a number of hour, only "exercer, à titre accessoire, une activité rémunérée", this means that you couldn't work full time over a full year. However, it seems that every Prefecture have a different undertanding of this.
      For the Student visa, the law is much clearer and states a maximum of 964 hours/year. Some Prefecture will apply this number to the Work-holiday visa holders too, even though it is not specified in the law.
      I'm afraid I can't give you a more specific answer.
      Good luck to you!

      It depends which visa the person will request: visa salarié if the employee will have a CDI or visa travailleur temporaire if the person has a CDD. Be aware that requesting a visa means that the person will come to France and not work remotely from the US. When you mention that the person is resident in the US, it is not clear what you plan to do...

      Hello, it depends on the visa, where you are requesting it from and the exchange rate. Many visa are 99 euros + possible provider fees (VFS or TLS) around 30-40 euros. Then once in France the residence permit will be 250 euros + 25 when given an actual card. You will also need to count the price of certified translation that will vary depending on your country and the document you are translating. So you understand it is not so straight forward to give a cost estimate since there are many variables.

      Hi there, you can't transfer from a tourist visa to any other type of status so if you first come to France as a tourist to have job interviews, you will need to go back to the USA to request the applicable work visa to the French consulate in the USA. There is quite a high demand in the IT engineering sector, so you have your chances but this doesn't mean it is easy. It is still an international job search. Good luck to you!

      Hi Baker,
      No, you cannot transfer from a 3 months tourist visa to any work visa.
      Also, nursing is a regulated profession, same as most medical professions, and you will not be able to work with a non-EU nursing diploma in France. You'll need to check that first. All the best to you.

      @@bakerlangkisutnga4101 if you want to work as a nurse and your diploma is not recognized, the only option I can see is to study again in France. Best to you

      Exactly. Medical professions are regulated differently in france. Of course u need to speak French, how else would you communicate with your patient? Good luck.

      Best is you either study french or a program here in france. Here they value french experience that means higher education or language learning. Good luck

      Hi Jacques, Yes, only some Talent Passport visas require a minimum diploma. Then the challenge will be to find the job that will sponsor your visa. Good luck with the job search!

    Hello 👋how can I get studey visa here in France 🇫🇷I want to extend my shanghai 3 visa to studey hire make up school so it's possible please 🙏

    • @expatinfrance
      @expatinfrance  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello, unfortunately, there is no possibility to transfer a tourist visa into another visa in France. Extensions are not possible either. You will need to go back to your country of residence and request the relevant long stay visa. Then you will be able to request the corresponding residence permit once entered with the appropriate entry visa.
      (There is an exception for people who entered France as minors and a request of regularisation should be done at the prefecture). Good luck to you!
