Beautiful build, Kenny, attention to detail is top shelf as always. Base looks outstanding and I could not imagine using just that flimsy kit base…excellent work, buddy.
Good build of a great kit, I agree, the stand needs some extra Tlc or redone altogether. It so underserves this fine example of modeling. Thanks for reposting.
Wow, I bet that was a spectacular site. Especially as a kid. I was fortunate enough to see most of the Apollo missions as a kid. I've been interested in space all my life. Thanks for watching my video in NZ. 👍😊
Great kit and a very nice build as well, you could try some Plexiglas on the stand it should make it a bit stiffer I've tried it on a few of my kits it worked for me.👍
Putting the finishing touches on this kit myself. The decals are too small to fit the detail on the instrument panel. My solution was to cut the decals up into sections and apply as close to fit as possible. I really didn't want to lose all those awesome switches so I applied the decals, and worked them down over the switch details using micro sol and set. Overall, it turned out pretty good.
Bit of a late comment but our friend the algorithm has struck me this time! This is an old kit, would you say this is something that could be easily obtained? Back in 1982 I got for a birthday gift, the Revell History Makers Gemini capsule and 40 years later it is still unpacked and in a cupboard that is sadly behind half a ton of accumulated stuff - it would have to be. I would love to get this kit, in fact another of the History Makers kits as well. Of course, being 40 years later and my De Lorean in for service, it's not so easy to go back to 82 and buy a few. I wonder what the likelihood is of being able to find one of either? Any suggestions? In fact for old kits in general? There's a Tamiya 1/35th Panzer IV that holds great memories for me that I would dearly love to get and build properly. Thanks, and thanks for the video, I always truly appreciate those who take the time out to make them and post them for the rest of us. Cheers man.
Thank you! The model is easily obtainable. I just did a Google search and lots of options popped up. eBay, hobbyLink Japan, ... Just do a search for Ravell 1/24 Gemini Capsule.
@@MoonwalkerModelsThanks for the tip. I feel embarrassed I didn't do a quick search before asking, I did it after I posted my question... 🤪duhhh! But I found out something interesting in that Revell have re-released this as a 60th Anniversary kit. I looked up Scalemates and the timeline for the kits from when it was first put out just seems to show each new edition is only a rebox. I bought the 1982 History Makers edition and the half dozen or so 'reissues' only seem to be reboxed... reboxed... reboxed all the way until 2014 and now 2023. I'm going to make sure I get the 60th Anniv edition, but I am still going to dig out an older one - why, I don't know, I just want an older one for some reason. Thanks again and thanks for sharing the knowledge, it's much appreciated.
Gemini is my favorite NASA program so far. Something about that time after Mercury, and before Apollo just fascinates me. Well done on the build sir.
Thanks!
Incredible build! I have a 1/48 scale kit of the Gemini and Mercury capsules and this video will help with that build.
Cool, thanks! Super happy that you enjoyed it and found it useful! 🙂
Great job thumbs up thank u for sharing
👍 Appreciate it!
Nice Decal work! This kit is one of my favorites to build. I do enjoy seeing your work. Your attention to detail is outstanding. Thanks again.
Thanks for that my friend! I love building space and sci-fi models! Have some shuttles started that I need to finish!
Very Cool build!!!! Great video Kenny!!!
Thanks 👍

Thanks John! I will consider that next time! 👍
Okay, now I need one!
At least one! It is a nice kit and makes a nice display!
👍👍👌👌

All in all it was a fun build! If I ever do it again I will do it differently!
can the astronauts come in and out or just stay in
I glued mine in. But, there should be enough room for them to slip in and out!. 😊

Hi I bought and built this model in 1975
Sweet!
The video would be better without the music.
Agreed! Format has been changed!
Thanks for watching!
That monotonous and constant background "music" is seriously annoying.
Apologies, I have since stopped using background music!
That is so cool!! So wonderful to see these again!!!
Thanks my friend!
