@ the fact that one of her lead animators spread rumors about how Viv was only doing it for clout and called her fans ‘Viv sh*ts’ along with the fact that Tracy never gave any specific reason for rejecting $5000, money that smaller projects would kill to have, puts a LOT of doubt on that theory. If she wanted to be respectful she would have apologized for her lead animator’s remarks or given a reason for the rejection, or just accept the goodwill rather than letting internet drama guide their hand. But she did NONE of those things. And keep in mind: I gave $500 to that Kickstarter specifically because Vivzie’s support brought it to my attention and I know a lot of other people did too. She gave them free advertising and they spat in her hand.
Yeah, this is a lesson for so many writers should know this, once you set up a plot in the show, you should stick with it. It is easy . Edit: If it feels better, put in a story arc
Fans just love drooling over the pretty animation and simply ignore the shitty writing. We get it. The animators cook but come on. You can't let the bad writing slide. "Oh the writing isn't that bad." Yes it is. You just choose to not pay attention to it and just get horny over your favorite characters. Vivzie is no saint but her fans defend the Hell outta her due to her 2 shows. Neither of them are flawless but regardless of the criticism, they scream like banshees whenever you say 1 thing about the shows. Overall, good video. You definitely deserve more subs.
100% true, I only watch to see how the animation is turning out. Awful writing with awful characters, shit even my favorite character is awfully written, but shes pretty so I like lookin at her. Truthfully i want to support animators and sure i have followed them off vivziepops brands and platforms but,,,,, i wish i was allowed to do what we all do, when we do not want to give them the actual view. Genuinely, GENUINELY want to say so truly, she seems awesome... With people these days warping then and there though out of the blue... I've learnt to be all the more wary, even those around me to this very day of course... Maybe there are some who do not get what I mean here, though this time callously scoffs/ignores it, but there's more going on and maybe, just maybe, one can at least attempt to better empathize when I say this out there... Some personalized saying goes, it can go anywhere... *For however varying or implicating it may get:* *_"Fought of which is more honorably discerned, NOT of which is irrationally concerned..."_* Even those really close to you, would become the worse thing, if not would have fully corrupted the soul of others if not really wary enough... So just in case I hear any of it, it doesn't always devolve into complete rando's of course... Seeing somebody's, anybody's potentiality, just get ruined either way despite their grandiose talents, actually does a huger number to a mf then people think now and days... Something about it becomes harder and harder to shirk off, most of this doesn't feel right man... Yet nobody tends to understand this fully... For Hazbin Hotel, I absolutely LOVED the pilot and hated the actual episodes, but I hate Vivzie. Her show is supposed to be comedic, but it really brings back my trauma. For example in the strip club scene, Sir Pentious literally gets dragged in a room/closet and gets r@p3d, bc he did not ask or decide to do it. As a survivor of r@p3, this really struck me, and nobody really talks about this much, but it's weird that her term of comedy involves assault.
Funny enough, its later revealed that he didn’t get his back blown six ways from Sunday, as he talks it out with the people in the room, revealing that he did that out of wanting to buy everyone drinks and being the life of the party. But that still gives the series a sense of whiplash no matter what, after having a previous episode showing how messed up SA can be. Yikes. Edit: Sorry, it was before he was dragged away.

I think personally- as someone who is queer and writes a lot about queer relationships, Vivzie is just bad at queer representation and doesn’t know how to properly communicate her ideas with what she wanted. Like how stolas is a piece of crap at the start of helluva only to suddenly be a victim that’s supposed to be endgame💀 Also playing a bit of devils advocate here; You can be a queer woman and write about queer men It’s a touchy subject for some because “they can’t speak on experience”, but so long as they aren’t a stereotype and are an ACTUAL character with depth and personality, it shouldn’t be a problem… The actual problem stems from the fact that she makes multiple queer stereotypes such as over-seggsuality being a major culprit, you can make a queer character sensually active but like, the whole joke for vivzie is “haha gay s3ggs! Laugh it’s funny!” (R4p3 jokes included) Which is the actual issue at hand- Less of her seggualizing queer character’s and more of she’s just a very VERY bad writer

Through helluva boss stolas calls blitzo things that he clearly doesn't like and says he doesn't like but stolas kept on continuing in the early season. That's already bad, if blitzo was a woman you know that stolas would have gotten a lot more hate. If that's not enough, husk and angek dust, same thing but even more worse. It's clear that husk is getting sexually harassed, (the show points it out) yet angel dust never really apologizes to huskbnor is it seen as a real issue. At best viziepop doesn't see that she is making toxic ass ships that aren't good representation.

Let's also talk about how she favors her men characters over her women characters. A recent video came out where she ranks her own characters, and she puts Charlie (the main character) in second place.... she is ranking backward cause she thought it was 10-1. She placed the men in the top five and the women in the lowest... edit: i can see how some ppl got confused. I understand when an artist has a fav character / characters (I do as well, I make comics and such) what's weird is that most of the women characters don't have good or little writing while the men are pushed to the front, and i find that weird. If she were to make lucifer or Al the main character and I would honestly be less ehh about it.

3:22 i may be wrong but from what i heard cherry was always vivs character considering she has very old drawings of her when she was supposed to be an angel. but one of cherrys most iconic poses (im pretty sure it's on the fandom wiki) is from a drawing that the person who you said she stole from made. She told them she really liked the pose and wanted to play off it for the final drawing (she essentially wanted to do a similar pose) but just basically ended up recoloring her friends drawing. Thats what i heard though so take it with a grain of salt i suppose

But cherry was always vivs character but got a redesign so if ken did the entire redesign without being credited for it then yes, viv did steal the design but technically not the character if that makes sense. Having someone basically fix your character only for you to take the better design and run around using it with no credit to that person. It's like she is self-toxic to herself to everybody else and never learning anything morally. When I saw her Instagram account, she always go to place that are like vacation, musical, and theme park related stuff like she can enjoy luxury even when it looks bland. I just wanted to point that out to everyone and even if I tried to talk to her about The lord and why she never go to any place related to the bible (The Book of Books) . She didn't respond. Yes we all expected Vivian to change but after learning of this. I can see why this video is made. I was thinking of sending her a long message and everyone for her to improve her skills by providing links to youtube..... I just get frustrated if I should send a message to her to change. I couldn't deny the allegations of her anymore and her series are unwatchable as it also slowly degrades my morality of everything I knew.

To be fair here, and Viv didn't know this, but Gabriel Brown is in fact a groomer. So it probably was best to fire him. Same with Will Stamper and his addiction. But Viv dropping the rest of the pilot cast and crew was inexcusable. Oh, and who can forget Viv spreading false rumors about Ashley that she abused her boyfriend Michael Kovach.
Not only is Stamper an addict but a someone on tumblr recently admitted that he was a massive creep towards her when she was a teen as well. Apparently he's been weird towards quite a few minors. I think they dodged a bullet for both of them tbh.

I get the vibe that Vizie's characters are all shallow, flat, one-note, boring caricatures, and any depth or intrigue they may have is the result of other people. And, no wonder it felt like the original premise of sinners seeking redemption was abandoned, because it wasn't Vivian's idea. Not only that, but Vivzie doesn't even seem to understand the concept of redemption, which would explain why Charlie's attempts are so dumb and childish. Vivian seems to think, “well as long as your a good person now, it doesn't matter what you've done in the past. What's that? You kidnapped and ate people? That's fine, just sing a song about friendship and all will be forgiven”

Im not surprised. She has quite a history , she traced over some mememe animation for a portfolio some years ago and avoided giving credit. There are probably more character designs she's taken and we don't know yet. Then theres this whole thing about jayjay her remaking Jayjay over and over. (Luna being a monochrome version now. Look me in my screen and say you don't see it.) Small peeve but the gal can't draw brown skin worth a damn. Its always light tan, ashy grey, ashy purple, or milkshake brown. Desaturated as hell too. If you see a legit brown character in one of her titles, like any possible brown shade on a human- she didn't design that character. Someone else did, like the background characters of HB. The number of people who've worked for her and stated its an awful experience. Burnt out fans turned hires and poor managnebt abd deadlines. I know they had to walk on eggshells from that gaslighter. Id be burnt out too if i had to work with those nonsensical kitchen sink characters. Some former qorkers are literally WAITING for their nda's to expire to release everything. Really says something when she repeatedly tries to portray the cheating, gaslighting, child neglecting, coersive s*x offender bird as an uwu victim. Stolas is an awful person and awful written character. The show gaslights people like she did her workers and former friends. So yeah, you can tell its written by her. Oh, the few yesmen she managed to keep around are something else. She wouldn’t keep her indie cast but she hired on a gRAPE 🍇 fe*t*shist as a storyboarder- then lied about them being a victim. Speaking of JayJay reskins. Beelzebub is another blatant copy dedicated to her love to ke$ha. She even got her to voice and sing as the character just like in the music video she made years ago.

I’m a Hazbin Hotel enjoyer and been a fan since the pilot. Vivziepop’s *work* has inspired me to make animation and art, but as a person who’s been a fan for a while. The writing is not that great and it’s okay to admit that, I never liked how other fans glaze the shit out of her work writing wise and attack people for not enjoying it. I really enjoy the idea and concept of Hazbin Hotel, I just believe it was executed poorly at times. I don’t support Vivziepop, I’m aware of what she has done. Nothing is wrong with criticizing her writing, she’s not an untouchable indie animator anymore just on TH-cam. Her show got picked up by a mainstream big company and makes a lot of money off the show since it’s still popular, she will live with criticism from people and wish this got into her supporters thick skulls.

Hate her or not her success is big step in the animation industry. You can dislike someone but also enjoy/admire their work. Honestl, hazbin hotel since the pilot litteraly just feels like big mouth. Not in the plot or anything, but just the feel. You sit there like "oh... is that right?" And "wow that feels unfisnished" and then "where did that come from?". And its never in a good way.
This is just like with Butch Hartman where we thought he shaped our childhood with amazing shows only to realize someone else made the art except now it’s with the entire show Vizie claims to be a great indie creator when she piggybacks on much better people idea and then ditches them when she could have just hired Ken wrote a better show

Viziepop sounds like how I used to be when it comes to writing by that I mean not knowing what to even write for her own stories or having friends help come up with plot points. One thing I do hate is when someone however claims the written ideas for their own cause to me it feels like she's trying to steal a piece of art since writing is considered another form of art. If Viziepop wants to get better at writing she should practice more with writing short stories cause hearing this of her potentially not even coming up with her own ideas for the plot makes me have less faith in her work being the standard for indie animation. I have however since gotten better with writing stories it just takes a lot of practice to get decent at what your writing about in a story. Take this comment as helpful criticism to those who want to get better at writing

Lackadaisy had every right to reject the donation and I’m truly baffled by the spindlehorse crew’s audacity to call it “unprofessional” when Tracy tried to handle it privately and Vivziepop was the one who made it public. I remember seeing spindlehorse artists harass people who did redesigns, insult and degrade critics (who were being constructive) and flat out mocked people who came out about Vivziepop’s abusive and transphobic behavior. Hell does anyone remember that infamous discord screenshot where a SH member was insulting Lackadaisy AND far-fetched because they won a meager TH-cam award?
This reveal explains the big divergence in both the quality and overall story premise between the pilot and offical episode 1 of Hazbin, it genuinely felt like they were written by two different people, so it’s kind of crazy to learn that was actually true 🫣 This also explains why all the other episodes of Helluva and Hazbin written solely by Viv are so BAD. Additionally, this all fuels my personal suspicions about Stolas’s character being an insight into Viv as a person. Due to the fanfic-esque style of Viv’s solo written Helluva episodes, I get the feeling Stolas functions as Viv’s yaoi self insert of sorts, with her emotional enmeshment with his character being a big reason he’s written the way he is. The best way I can describe season two’s writing is like a first person POV of a Narcissist, basically, if a Narcissist wrote an autobiography, this is what it would be like. All the ways the show tries to make us sympathise with him or to convince us he was justified and is undeserving of punishment have uncanny resemblances to the gaslighting techniques used by Narcissists. It leads me to suspect that, in the absence of any writing abilities, Viv’s relying on the same techniques she uses to manipulate her friends and employees as her go-to techniques for trying to convince the audience what to think and feel about her characters, especially Stolas.
A reason I utterly hate Vivziepop is how Sallie Mae (Millie's trans sister from Helluva Boss) was only ever created in response to the transphobia allegations to try and lessen the heat Vivziepop was getting, and that's on top of the glorification of the sexual abuse of men in both of Vivziepop's series, the transphobia, how Vivziepop had a (g)rape artist work on the episode about the sexual abuse of Angel Dust in Hazbin Hotel, and countless other things
not to mention the time she tried to make a transmasc character and portrayed him disturbingly feminine and then just made him cis in the end, and the only canon transmasc character that made it into her published pieces was this really ugly looking guy who reeked of cheeto dust gooner energy
As someone who does write as a hobby and wants to pursue the art industry whether as a artist or a writer you should ALWAYS, in my opinion, ALWAYS give credit. That’s THEIR idea, that was THEIR thought process and they were WILLINGLY to share it with Viz and all they’re asking is CREDIT. Because the industry you have to know people to get stuff done. Tip to any beginner artist and writer, if Vivzie was able to write a pretty bad 1st season show about her deviant art OCs to tue biggest streaming service in the era, your story can too.

Considering she's seen as the "queen" of indie animation, I'm kinda worried about what kind of precedent this is gonna set for future creators, both from the shows and her as a person. Are people gonna look at all this and think, "Okay. THIS is how a show should be run,"? I really don't want every indie cartoon to be some sort of incoherent, messy, immature fan fiction created by someone who can't handle criticism and has a strangely hard time crediting people. I mean, it's just writing someone's name and what they did. It shouldn't be that hard.

Followed Viv since I was in highschool (20+ years of following her work damn) and the best way to describe her writing is “professional fan fiction”. I have to turn my brain off to watch her shows (yes both Helluva and Hazbin). She peaked in Highschool and she hasn’t changed since because that’s what got her popular.

I envied Vivienne and I don't hate her. My teenage cousin feels that I do. I love Charlie, she is adorable. However, as someone that also struggles with writing, Vaggie feels so under-developed. O_o This woman is also the same age as I am.

I enjoy Viv's shows as a 'switch brain off' type of entertainment but learning that she wasn't behind the story of the original pilot explains a lot. There is a very noticeable shift in tone and direction in both shows from their initial pilots and it was the pilots that got me hooked. Helluva Boss barely focuses on the initial idea of a team doing jobs with shenanigans ensuing. I wonder if Millie would've gotten an actual character if things that stayed that way. XD I will say that Stolas as a character has gotten away with his actions and it's annoying BUT I do appreciate him not being as vulgar as he was in the pilot. (Granted he was intended as a villain back then but I still wasn't keen on him.)

@ the fact that one of her lead animators spread rumors about how Viv was only doing it for clout and called her fans ‘Viv sh*ts’ along with the fact that Tracy never gave any specific reason for rejecting $5000, money that smaller projects would kill to have, puts a LOT of doubt on that theory.
If she wanted to be respectful she would have apologized for her lead animator’s remarks or given a reason for the rejection, or just accept the goodwill rather than letting internet drama guide their hand. But she did NONE of those things.
And keep in mind: I gave $500 to that Kickstarter specifically because Vivzie’s support brought it to my attention and I know a lot of other people did too. She gave them free advertising and they spat in her hand.

Fans just love drooling over the pretty animation and simply ignore the shitty writing. We get it. The animators cook but come on. You can't let the bad writing slide. "Oh the writing isn't that bad." Yes it is. You just choose to not pay attention to it and just get horny over your favorite characters. Vivzie is no saint but her fans defend the Hell outta her due to her 2 shows. It's actually insane watching the group of artists I used to follow over a decade ago fall out in this way years later.
For Hazbin Hotel, I absolutely LOVED the pilot and hated the actual episodes, but I hate Vivzie. Her show is supposed to be comedic, but it really brings back my trauma. For example in the strip club scene, Sir Pentious literally gets dragged in a room/closet and gets r@p3d, bc he did not ask or decide to do it. As a survivor of r@p3, this really struck me, and nobody really talks about this much, but it's weird that her term of comedy involves assault.
Funny enough, its later revealed that he didn’t get his back blown six ways from Sunday, as he talks it out with the people in the room, revealing that he did that out of wanting to buy everyone drinks and being the life of the party. But that still gives the series a sense of whiplash no matter what, after having a previous episode showing how messed up SA can be. Yikes.

Laugh it’s funny!” (R4p3 jokes included) Which is the actual issue at hand-

Through helluva boss stolas calls blitzo things that he clearly doesn't like and says he doesn't like but stolas kept on continuing in the early season. That's already bad, if blitzo was a woman you know that stolas would have gotten a lot more hate. If that's not enough, husk and angek dust, same thing but even more worse. It's clear that husk is getting sexually harassed, (the show points it out) yet angel dust never really apologizes to huskbnor is it seen as a real issue. 3:22 i may be wrong but from what i heard cherry was always vivs character considering she has very old drawings of her when she was supposed to be an angel. but one of cherrys most iconic poses (im pretty sure it's on the fandom wiki) is from a drawing that the person who you said she stole from made. She told them she really liked the pose and wanted to play off it for the final drawing (she essentially wanted to do a similar pose) but just basically ended up recoloring her friends drawing.

I’m a Hazbin Hotel enjoyer and been a fan since the pilot. Vivziepop’s *work* has inspired me to make animation and art, but as a person who’s been a fan for a while. The writing is not that great and it’s okay to admit that, I never liked how other fans glaze the shit out of her work writing wise and attack people for not enjoying it. I really enjoy the idea and concept of Hazbin Hotel, I just believe it was executed poorly at times. I don’t support Vivziepop, I’m aware of what she has done. Nothing is wrong with criticizing her writing, she’s not an untouchable indie animator anymore just on TH-cam. Her show got picked up by a mainstream big company and makes a lot of money off the show since it’s still popular, she will live with criticism from people and wish this got into her supporters thick skulls.
Finally, a comment I can relate to. I still enjoy Viv’s shows, just not Viv as a person. And yes, her writing could use some improvements

Viziepop sounds like how I used to be when it comes to writing by that I mean not knowing what to even write for her own stories or having friends help come up with plot points. One thing I do hate is when someone however claims the written ideas for their own cause to me it feels like she's trying to steal a piece of art since writing is considered another form of art. If Viziepop wants to get better at writing she should practice more with writing short stories cause hearing this of her potentially not even coming up with her own ideas for the plot makes me have less faith in her work being the standard for indie animation. I have however since gotten better with writing stories it just takes a lot of practice to get decent at what your writing about in a story. Take this comment as helpful criticism to those who want to get better at writing

Lackadaisy had every right to reject the donation and I’m truly baffled by the spindlehorse crew’s audacity to call it “unprofessional” when Tracy tried to handle it privately and Vivziepop was the one who made it public.
I remember seeing spindlehorse artists harass people who did redesigns, insult and degrade critics (who were being constructive) and flat out mocked people who came out about Vivziepop’s abusive and transphobic behavior. Hell does anyone remember that infamous discord screenshot where a SH member was insulting Lackadaisy AND far-fetched because they won a meager TH-cam award?
This reveal explains the big divergence in both the quality and overall story premise between the pilot and offical episode 1 of Hazbin, it genuinely felt like they were written by two different people, so it’s kind of crazy to learn that was actually true 🫣
This also explains why all the other episodes of Helluva and Hazbin written solely by Viv are so BAD.
Additionally, this all fuels my personal suspicions about Stolas’s character being an insight into Viv as a person. Due to the fanfic-esque style of Viv’s solo written Helluva episodes, I get the feeling Stolas functions as Viv’s yaoi self insert of sorts, with her emotional enmeshment with his character being a big reason he’s written the way he is. The best way I can describe season two’s writing is like a first person POV of a Narcissist, basically, if a Narcissist wrote an autobiography, this is what it would be like.
All the ways the show tries to make us sympathise with him or to convince us he was justified and is undeserving of punishment have uncanny resemblances to the gaslighting techniques used by Narcissists. It leads me to suspect that, in the absence of any writing abilities, Viv’s relying on the same techniques she uses to manipulate her friends and employees as her go-to techniques for trying to convince the audience what to think and feel about her characters, especially Stolas.
A reason I utterly hate Vivziepop is how Sallie Mae (Millie's trans sister from Helluva Boss) was only ever created in response to the transphobia allegations to try and lessen the heat Vivziepop was getting, and that's on top of the glorification of the sexual abuse of men in both of Vivziepop's series, the transphobia, how Vivziepop had a (g)rape artist work on the episode about the sexual abuse of Angel Dust in Hazbin Hotel, and countless other things
not to mention the time she tried to make a transmasc character and portrayed him disturbingly feminine and then just made him cis in the end, and the only canon transmasc character that made it into her published pieces was this really ugly looking guy who reeked of cheeto dust gooner energy
She got rid of Ashley from Hunicast (Artist for Hazbin Pilot) and all her so called friends that help raise money Bosco Mike and so many more.

As someone who does write as a hobby and wants to pursue the art industry whether as a artist or a writer you should ALWAYS, in my opinion, ALWAYS give credit. That’s THEIR idea, that was THEIR thought process and they were WILLINGLY to share it with Viz and all they’re asking is CREDIT. Because the industry you have to know people to get stuff done.
Tip to any beginner artist and writer, if Vivzie was able to write a pretty bad 1st season show about her deviant art OCs to tue biggest streaming service in the era, your story can too.

Considering she's seen as the "queen" of indie animation, I'm kinda worried about what kind of precedent this is gonna set for future creators, both from the shows and her as a person. Are people gonna look at all this and think, "Okay. THIS is how a show should be run,"? I really don't want every indie cartoon to be some sort of incoherent, messy, immature fan fiction created by someone who can't handle criticism and has a strangely hard time crediting people. I mean, it's just writing someone's name and what they did. It shouldn't be that hard.

Man, I used to look up to Vivzie as an artist, before the Hazbin pilot, but now that the show is out and seen her interactions with people, I lost all respect for her. I loved the pilot and art style, but hated the final product and couldn't figure out why it came out so bad, and this makes so much sense. She didn't write the pilot.

Vivziepop will always be a "Seperate the art from the artist" type of person. i like helluva boss, but i won't sugar coat it and act like it's Flawless like what a bunch of normies would say about it, as a lot of the writing (Story, character motives, etc) is complete doo doo for the most part. and of course Vivzie is a genuinely bad person herself.

I enjoy Viv's shows as a 'switch brain off' type of entertainment but learning that she wasn't behind the story of the original pilot explains a lot. There is a very noticeable shift in tone and direction in both shows from their initial pilots and it was the pilots that got me hooked. Helluva Boss barely focuses on the initial idea of a team doing jobs with shenanigans ensuing. I wonder if Millie would've gotten an actual character if things that stayed that way. XD
I will say that Stolas as a character has gotten away with his actions and it's annoying BUT I do appreciate him not being as vulgar as he was in the pilot. (Granted he was intended as a villain back then but I still wasn't keen on him.)
