  • Data Vault 2.0 is a system of Business Intelligence developed by Dan Linstedt that is composed of three pillars: architecture, modelling and methodology. This session will provide a high-level overview of Data Vault 2.0 as a system of BI, with a particular focus on the Data Vault model itself and the benefits it can provide. No prior familiarity with Data Vault is necessary to understand the core concepts that will be reviewed.

I think in Satellites chapter, the EndDate is not mandatory any more, since we can identify the changes from the HashDiff and HashKey of the BK, and of course, we should keep the Load DTS as part of the PK for Satellite along with the HK. Please correct me if I am wrong. Thanks!

Thanks! You said, that links are often associated with fact tables. Does this mean that the measures are stored in Links? Or in Satellites? I thought, that Links store only FKs and technical columns. So the question is: Where are the measures stored?

It will be stored in Link's Satellites, since the measures are also considered as description infomation.

i think we can say Links are technically fact less fact tables (if we want to refer with DWH terminology) , and if any measures/descriptive details exist at that level, then those can be on Link's satellite tables

@@chandrasekharchennupalli2501 Hi, I still not clear about these relations between Links and Satellites, where will be all these tables stored?
