Father, you have no idea what a blessing you are. I’m a lost soul, and yet you give me at least some hope. I have so many questions, but I know you a a busy man so I won’t bother you with them. Just know that these short videos are a blessing. Thank you so much, and may God be with you.
Since you ask could you do a piece about the salve Regina. I love our holy mother but “our life, our sweetness and our hope”? Shouldn’t we aim those compliments at Jesus? Could you clarify this for me pleas. Thanks
The 'reader' at our church preaches what's in the news! You don't need TV news in our parish! It's wonderful to listen to your videos, Father Columba, we Anglicans could do with a bit more faith and a lot less politics. God bless. 🌹
Thank you father finally understood the meaning of this scripture (sell everything and follow me) is giving yet another step closer to God. God bless you for such a hard work. Bless you brothers and sisters Viva Cristo Rey
THANK YOU FOR YOUR LECTURE AND THE WHOLE SERIES OF LECTURES. THE TAPES ARE MADE WITH A LOT OF VISUAL EFFECTS. PLEASE PRAY FOR PEACE IN JERUSALEM IN THIS WORLD AND IN HEAVEN. PRAY FOR PEACE IN THE WHOLE WORLD AND PEACE IN THE GALAXY AND UNIVERSE. THANK YOU JESUS CHRIST FOR YOUR SACRIFICE FOR OUR REDEMPTION AND SALVATION AND YOUR MIRACLES AND WORDS. SHALOM AMEN AMEN AND AMEN
Fr. Columba, thank you so much for this. Lectio Divina is so difficult for me because I have too much noise in my mind and too many thoughts (maybe you could do a video on how to quiet the mind if you haven’t already). What you suggested in the video seems more doable for me. And thank you for being real with us - that you also have a hard time with Lectio and with trying the check the boxes in lieu of the relationship with God. It’s important for us to know that we are not alone. You are such a big help to me in my journey. Thank you so much! May God bless you abundantly.
Hi @TD, so glad this could be helpful, praise God! We have an article that talks about silencing ourselves for prayer and why that’s important: www.calledtomore.org/articles/making-space-for-prayer?rq=Quiet Maybe that can be of help. I’ll also mention your suggestion to Fr Columba :) God bless!
I just found you and what you saying is helping me. I’m going to simplify my prayer with what I learned from this video. Thank you. You’re in my prayers.
This video was a huge find for me because I've always struggled with seeing the 'point' of most of the Bible. Some things are obvious, like he said, but a lot of it is harder. And I would get too frustrated to keep reading so I would quit. I love that I now have a sistimatic, simple method to do this, so it's more managable. Thank you!
Good meat for my soul today. Many of us are task oriented. That relationship stuff has risk and is much more complex. Following The unknown is scary. That’s why we admire monks and Saints. They overcame many obstacles to follow. All I could do today was listen
Thank you Father. This video really spoke to me. I'm discerning a vocation and it seems that one of the hardest parts of that is relinquishing control.
Having nice things is OK, it's attachment that prevents us from moving forward in our relationship with God. Life gets so much better when we learn to let go.
Just discovered this awesome Friar... his talks are so in depth and genuinely grounded in Christ and helpful! He's my new favorite online Padre! Please keep these videos coming!!!!
I wanna start doing this, the video came at a really good time. I'm so grateful for these resources made by wonderful people like you. You guys have played no small role in the peace and happiness I experience now. Praise God!
Praise God, Angeline! That makes every bit of work so worth it. We are so humbled to hear these videos have helped you in some way. That is wonderful. There’s more content including articles and a podcast on our website if you ever want to check them out: calledtomore.org God bless :)
For me it’s not money, but I realize there are other things that I do this with. Vaping, overeating, judging others, being selfish. Realizing it has powerfully improved me in some areas, maybe even the ones I’d have thought I couldn’t change, the ones related to personality and personal relationships. But I’m still praying that god forgives my stubborn resistance to change he’s called on me to make, and begging him not to give me up for lost to things that call me away from him that I still haven’t managed to quit heeding.
Father, I stumbled across your video at a time in my life where it was very much needed.. and one video led to the next. You have a beautiful way of speaking to the heart.. thank you father❤️
Carla Mariela Leveling 0 seconds ago I also think that Jesus really wanted him to follow him as one of his disciples and was calling him to a different life and leave everything, so that he could follow Him. Unfortunately. I bet his decision is one he will always regret. God is merciful nonetheless. The man was striving for perfection and loved God, this is why Jesus invited him to the next level towards attaining growth in the love of God.
dear Fr please pray for me im going through perhaps my purgatory on earth and thats good Jesus has suffered so much for me and i not so please remember me at Mass so that i carry my cross which Our Heavenly Father has given me and persevere in the footsteps of my Jesus i hope dear Father you are understanding me I'll be going to confession this comming Thursday so pls pray for me im a sinfull man im trying to be penetent the sad part of my life is i Love God and yet i commit sin may the Holy Spirit allows you to know the state of my soul
Hi Dominic, please know we’ll be praying for you at Called to More. We are all sinners but by the grace of God he allows us to come back to him every time. I hope you have a great Confession tomorrow. When we confess our sins honestly and sincerely we are forgiven. May God grant you peace. From Katie 🙏
God has given you the gift of superb teaching.

This is really helpful! Thank you for this.

It is so easy to say I surrender to you Jesus. How does one actually do it?

What are good resources to research the "then" meaning?
The Gospels by Word on Fire and the Ignatius Study Bible are two wonderful resources for that!

It certainly helps!
