@968pwns Nice. Thanks for getting back to me. I actually live about 15 mins from RAI. I got my DSG flashed to stage 2 by them. I was thinking of using a synapse DV if I went K04 but the D-revision should do just fine I think now. The turbo you have must be the new Borg Warner EFR. Good stuff. I was really just torn between going with synapse or keeping the stock valve since I know synapse is good but will cost much more to route cleanly at possibly no gains.
Yeah...., I'm pretty jealous! It sounds awesome. Sorry if you ready answered this in other comments, but why did you get ride of the unitronic tune? I'm looking into one for my mk6.
It's very nice~!! Just wondering what kind of clutch did u put? I have a APR stage3 with southbend stage 2 clutch, but the clutch still slips above 5k rpm.
Yesssir you spied right. My guys up at RAI Motorsport know their stuff with the VAG scene. Thank you for the compliments. And yeah I love that road, always a good drive.
I spy tubular exhaust mani with header wrap - someone knew their s**t when they set this turbo kit up! ;-) Setup looks clean, smart and almost factory. Well done sir. That road would be superb without other cars going slow...
@albert p0301 could be plugs, coils, or injectors. I found out on my FSI that I had a bad injector. TSI is the way to go. More power and less supporting mods.
That car is just missing one thing - r-compounds! Some 225-235 Z1 Star Specs would be sublime on this car. Those all-seasons were screeching for dear life. Pretty cold outside when this was done? This vid shows what a bad-ass job the stock VAG suspension does at soaking up nasty imperfections in the road. Thanks for reminding the non-believers what a great platform the GTI is! Cheers bud.
I love how some Germans comment on this, I just wanna say thanks for making the best cars on earth About the vid, that's very nice sounding and fairly quick...working on getting my jetta like that
@monzaracer1 This is a custom big turbo kit put together by RAI with UNITRONIC tuning (as of now). KO4 puts out around 310 WHEEL horsepower (whp) which is 360 CRANK horsepower when using APR's calculations. My car in this vid has around 355whp or around 400 crank horsepower.
Very nice build! Your MK6 GTI looks ridiculously fast. And great job with purchasing the manual trans! But try and stay off public roads when doing this. When you reach a certain amount of hp, you gotta start driving it more soft or bring it to a track.
i second this opinion. i would do the same thing, sometimes the safest thing is to get by the biker quick, thus spending less time on that double yellow in oncoming lane.
Thanks for the nice comment! Yeah I need R compounds lol. And this car has full coil over suspension and whittling anti lift kit. There isn't much stock on this car haha.
What type of software are you running ? I would imagine your talking 365 crank hp. Your cars seems to run about the same as my 2012,MK VI, GTI, APR K04 with all supporting mods.
ill get some more vids of it up soon! im thinking about doing some vids of it on the outside, like flybys and such. the tires on it in this video are some decent all seasons, but it has new 225 KDW's on it now!
I had stage 3 DXD endurance clutch, held great, but the pedal was way too stiff for my knee. So When I did my LSD last week, I threw in a clutch masters stage 4 fx400 clutch. Lighter pedal than Dxd stage 3!
Looks like he has some skill to me. For all the haters out there, my 2012 GTI makes 320 whp & 330 lb/ft. of torque on 93 octane. More than enough go roast most cars in it's class.
That's exactly what I mean. If you want to put yourself at risk, go for it! But when it comes to putting others in danger, that's when you should be responsible.
Get a catted downpipe paired to the stock cat-back. Anything else will sound ricey on these motors, they sound nothing like a subaru (for example) with exhaust.
Tune is not really for this setup, so boost is a little sporadic. sometimes I peak at 22psi, sometimes 24psi. I hold at 20psi. I start getting boost around 3500rpm.
Scary driving that fast near so many trees, just remember they always win in accident... RIP Paul Walker and Ryan Dunn... Be careful man.
Sounds great. Nice vid. Sounds like you have it dialed in real nice. Who did the tune on it? Software?
GTI's are very nice on the track. I have done a few HPDE's and it was amazing.
great, car, great vid, and freaking beautiful sound!!! What is your exhaust setup? I have MK6 GTI manual...modding in the near future.
Sounds great.....Performs nice. Is it a stock DV setup that you used? Doesn't sound like it.

Borg warner turbo. Its either running a maxed out K04 turbo or EFR 6258. The rest of the mods are pretty simple. Intake exhaust intercooler
Very nice! Mods? K04?
Yeah...., I'm pretty jealous! It sounds awesome. Sorry if you ready answered this in other comments, but why did you get ride of the unitronic tune? I'm looking into one for my mk6.
What have you done to you gti? Sounds amazing!
Nice car, super sweet notes from exhaust and crazy ride...luv back roads like that!!!!
Nice car man! Just be careful on those roads
It's very nice~!! Just wondering what kind of clutch did u put?
I have a APR stage3 with southbend stage 2 clutch, but the clutch still slips above 5k rpm.
love it... its this the KO4 Kit APR???
they have 360ps too
That poor guy on the bike at 1:20 probably needed some new shorts!
3rd only spins when I hit a small bump. On a nice smooth road all the power gets put down nicely.
Good vid, but i heard ESP can not be fully disengaged on these cars?
Yesssir you spied right. My guys up at RAI Motorsport know their stuff with the VAG scene. Thank you for the compliments. And yeah I love that road, always a good drive.

sweet tint headliner like 1999 bro
Cars sounds amazing bro....that's one fast MK6!
proper good handling. sick gti by the way :)
sweet ride, what's the mileage on that?........ got a list of the mods
Where did you put the GoPro?in a helmet? Nice car man!
nice, how much did mods cost?
what exhaust is this? it sounds awesome
That thing looks like fun. Nice car!
That looks fun as helllll! I got a leon cupra atm but yours is spinning in third the way mines does in seconds lol
custom turbo setup. Buy an APR stage 3 kit you'll be happy.
@albert p0301 could be plugs, coils, or injectors. I found out on my FSI that I had a bad injector. TSI is the way to go. More power and less supporting mods.
What brand exhaust do you have? im getting a gti soon and need help deciding on what i should buy
What an awesome car!
Nice car, love the BOV
He's got the god arm style. 1 handed driving 👌🇩🇪
What is the peak boost pressure of this setup? And the bost at 6500 rpm? And at what rpm the turbo charges? Maybe around 3000 rpm? or a bit before?
Sounds like a beast
That car is just missing one thing - r-compounds!
Some 225-235 Z1 Star Specs would be sublime on this car. Those all-seasons were screeching for dear life. Pretty cold outside when this was done?

@Captdrpepper my friend said both the waste gate and DV are built in to the turbo. the turbo is a Burg Werner.
I love how some Germans comment on this, I just wanna say thanks for making the best cars on earth
About the vid, that's very nice sounding and fairly quick...working on getting my jetta like that
@Captdrpepper its not the stock DV, i forget which one hes running but ill find out for you. it does sound good!
So in the video, did u have the RAI tne or APR?
@968pwns K thanks a lot. Maybe its synapse? Thinking about getting that one this spring....

@ryanrich naw, the turbo is a new one from berg warner, as of about 3 weeks ago this gti was the only one it!
Thanks bro. I have the RAI Motorsport turboback. Got rid of my APR RSC turbo back which sounded like shit.
Fight that torque steer! FIGHT IT!
how did you do it? I just got a MK6 GLI, and I'm ready to do the mods.. Can you help me out on what you did.
Road looks familiar :) Nice car. Ever go out to the Wed night meets?
Thanks for the nice comment! Yeah I need R compounds lol. And this car has full coil over suspension and whittling anti lift kit. There isn't much stock on this car haha.
Nice! Have fun.
what mods are you using what stage is it and how much was the whole set up
sick driver bro
what stage are you running and r u using a ko4
Did you do internals for this setup?
nice road! looks fun!
The K04 is anything but lagy. It spools so fast when I first installed it, I was constantly hitting the rev limiter.
What type of software are you running ? I would imagine your talking 365 crank hp. Your cars seems to run about the same as my 2012,MK VI, GTI, APR K04 with all supporting mods.
thanks man.
hey man what kind of mods do you have?
APR? Or how did you get to that kind of power?
ill get some more vids of it up soon! im thinking about doing some vids of it on the outside, like flybys and such. the tires on it in this video are some decent all seasons, but it has new 225 KDW's on it now!

lol seriously how much was the setup thinking about doing something like this like what set up are u using
fuckin awesome! VW for life! GTI MKV here.
nice driving bud im not really sure what with the haters but i only saw you slide across the yellows once, good day in my book
2 liter inline 4.
Unitronic big turbo tune in this video, but I just switched to Eurodyne Maestro and I like it more.
Looks like he has some skill to me. For all the haters out there, my 2012 GTI makes 320 whp & 330 lb/ft. of torque on 93 octane. More than enough go roast most cars in it's class.
968pwns what else are you running? is it stock intercooler and exaust
How fast do you have to be going to be able to go open throttle without wheelspin?
can you do a mods list?? I just got rid of my mk5 gli for a mk6 gti, want to make around the same power
what kind of gas mileage are you seing with the mods, when you are not hard on the pedal?
This was on Unitronic. I switched to Eurodyne Maestro shortly after I made this video though.
Everything. First had unitronic tune, now I have eurodyne meastro 7.
love this
so what did you put into this car and what tune
thanks bud
I wish my mk6 moved like this :(
That's exactly what I mean. If you want to put yourself at risk, go for it! But when it comes to putting others in danger, that's when you should be responsible.
what clutch are you running
I was reading that the stock motor and internals can handle 350whp max. Is this true?
are you apr, revo or unitronics?
Get a catted downpipe paired to the stock cat-back. Anything else will sound ricey on these motors, they sound nothing like a subaru (for example) with exhaust.
I don't get any misfires. Check your plugs and coilpacks.
A little bit higher than when I was on stock turbo... I see 30-36mpg on the highway. At a flat cruise at 70mph I see 32mpg minimum.
Thanks brah.
@bjte1 Yeah I go out there sometimes, I also go to the thursday night meets at loses in woodbridge.
I LOVE German Engineering. By the way this video sums up everything amazing about a GTI.
Tune is not really for this setup, so boost is a little sporadic. sometimes I peak at 22psi, sometimes 24psi. I hold at 20psi. I start getting boost around 3500rpm.
get it chipped first, stock is exhaust is still nice. If you get DSG you will love it when changing gear but manual = fun.
Mannnn he got some balls.. Results in an entertaining video though!
is this with a 7163 EFR Turbo? 968pwns
what engine and what ECU upgrade?
Gah! what exhaust?
What engine mods were done?
This video was on Sumitomo all seasons. I have BF Goodrich G Force KDW's on right now.
This is my car, and thank you bud. I love this car too.
I love everything about this car except the fact that it's front wheel drive!!
that's why there is a golf r
