  • Since I bought the car I thought the clutch did not perform as it should, with the engagement being too low on the pedal. I found that I often stalled the car because the biting point was too low. Today I show you how you can get the perfect position on the pedal by adjusting it, using just one tool in 5 mins !

      @@GrooveOn did the get clutch judder because of the high biting point? Someone told me I need to replace my clutch but I am reluctant to pour £100s into it

    I have just replaced my master cylinder and I now feel that my biting point is 2 high. The adjuster on the rod was showing loadsnof thread so i put it as the same as the old one hoping that the feel of the biting point would be the same. Reason for change was squeaking master cylinder.

      No worries, I've actually found there is an adjustment screw at the back, which I'm doing another video on, as you have to take pedal out

    Wow, this is so wrong. The plunger is the Cruise Control Switch and Clutch Pedal Stop. So all this adjusting does is, you can lift the Pedal Higher Overall. But you dont adjust the Clutch biting Point with this at all.

      @GrooveOn  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yep, but strangely it was not adjusted correctly on my car, ergo, when I lifted the clutch, the plunger was too far protruded and the plunger sensor engaged too quickly, I adjusted back a little and there was a difference. The second video I removed the clutch and adjusted the rod at the back

      Can I ask if you find your Honda clutch is a bit low down to engage? I have heard it's quite common?

      @@GrooveOn Oh i've heard of that Problem. But Mine ist actually quite high, so i expect my Clutch to not having much meat left :/
      But a to low adjusted Clutch Pedal/Master Cylinder ist bad indeed AS in extreme cases the Clutch might not decouple aproprietly and might grind a bit.

      The adjuster screw on the back of the plunger closet to the steering wheel is for the ht of the pedal. The plunger is in fact the adjustment for the bite point which controls how fast, and how much pressure will be applied when releasing clutch. Just did this a hour ago before work.

      I always mess with the bite point as sometimes I feel like having it low then on other occasions I put it back high lol

    You need to look after the wire also it’s gonna be twisted there 😝

    What's the difference between this adjustment and the other one on your other video about this subject? Does it has the same effect?

    • @GrooveOn
      @GrooveOn  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That's a great question and it's why I have two videos. The plunger that you can see at the front of the pedal is a safety switch to tell the ECU that the clutch is no longer engaged mainly for the cruise control. The rod at the back on the second video I did will change the travel. I would start with the easy one in front and see if it makes any difference

      @@GrooveOn Thanks for the quick reply! So the two adjustments affect de travel in the same basically? i have the same car as you, and im feeling the same as you do about the clutch engaging too low...
      When you did the adjustment in the plunger at the front didi you notice any mal function on the cruise control?
      Sorry for making so many questions but i´m just trying to pick your brain mate ahah

      @@joaquimcosta5851 I'm glad it wasn't just me that feels this with the clutch! When I adjusted the front sensor it was a little better, so try that. Then the rear gave me more travel in the pedal

      @@joaquimcosta5851the front adjustment does nothing for the clutch travel stall it's the adjustment at top of clutch attached to the master cylinder by adjusting this 1 you should getting better travel on the clutch pedal
