For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: That no flesh should glory in His presence." An understanding I have is when many are called, and few are chosen, few people surrender their life to the Lord of Jesus Christ and accept them as their savior, just like I did 24 years ago in repentance of my sins, and trespasses.

Many are called into The Fellowship of Love. Into the Unconditional Reality of God Who Is Love. Many people can speak on that topic. But the only way to Truly come into That Divine Reality, is to be Aware that you are One with Christ's Spirit. That is, Christ's Reality. The only person that does ANYTHING is God Himself. Man does absolutely nothing. Only God gives the increase. He is the Divine Energy that causes all actions and reactions. There is only One that is Good, that's God. "The Son only does what His Father is doing." "If you've seen Me, you have seen the Father." We are all God's creation. He is the mechanics behind the veil of materialism and all space, time and matter. All We Are is Spiritual Offsprings of God's Consciousness. We are Watchers, Observers of the Great Things He has done, and is doing. We are not of this 3D space, time and matter reality. We are outside of that fallen realm. We no longer live, have our life, in that fleeing darkness. Only God gives the Revelation of being of Christ's Identity. Few are Chosen to Perceive.

@@johnhoffman8203 The historical context determines the audience. The 'many' referred to Jews as salvation was unto the Jew at that time (not the entire world). The gentiles and gentile nations were considered heathen. God had established a wall of partition and in Mathew 22:14 it still existed (He would later remove it). 'Chosen' speaks of election - God's gracious choice. In Paul's writing those who are "called" and those who are "chosen" represent the same thing.

@@paulmichael5021 Not so, Paul was the disciple to the gentiles, if anything he was writing to the gentiles in the churches of Rome. The kingdom of heaven/God had long sense been removed from the nation of Israel per Mt 21.43 so many doesnt refer to Jews. Many are called (justified), but few are chosen, indicating the chosen are selected from the called per Rev 17.14. The chosen (sanctified) inherit the kingdom, the called dont.

"@Paul Michael Not so, Paul was the disciple to the gentiles"
Jews AND gentiles he preached to both (no distinction). Peter, James, and John didn't write their letters to gentiles - only Jews. However Paul wrote to Jews also. That's why in (2 Peter 3:15,16) Peter reminds the Jews about the fact that Paul had written them.
"if anything he was writing to the gentiles in the churches of Rome."
He was writing to Jews and gentiles. (1 Cor 1:23,24) but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.
"The kingdom of heaven/God had long sense been removed from the nation of Israel per Mt 21.43 so many doesnt refer to Jews."
Yes Jews. Read Acts 2:41 - over 3000 saved - all Jews. God didn't grant the gentile nations the repentance that leads to life until Acts chapter 10 spoken about again in Acts 11:18.
Acts 21:20 And when they heard about them, they began glorifying God; and they said to him, “You see, brother, how many thousands there are among the Jews of those who have believed, and they are all zealous for the Law; For your information Acts 21:20 comes AFTER Matthew 21:43
"Many are called (justified), but few are chosen, indicating the chosen are selected from the called per Rev 17.14. The chosen (sanctified) inherit the kingdom, the called dont."
You said: " The chosen (sanctified) inherit the kingdom, the called dont." You contradict the very verse you cited. Notice "called" in the verse below.
      Rev 17:14
These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

@@paulmichael5021 Yes Paul did preach to the Jews as individuals, but no longer as a nation as they had forfeited the kingdom. Later in Paul's ministry he even forsook the Jews and delt exclusively with the church. The statement many are called . . . refers to individuals not nations and still carries the definition of justified vs sanctified. Rev 17.14 defines where the faithful comes from i e chosen from the called and faithful from the chosen. Per Acts 20.32/26.18 the inheritance comes from sanctification/chosen vice justified/called. By the way, Mt 21.43 happened well before Acts 21.20 chronologically speaking. Another issue is that all parables are written to the church and not the nation of Israel. Both Mt 20.16/22.14 are the conclusions of parables then they are for the church not Jews as a nation. The point is that many are justified and few are chosen and fewer still are faithful, that is the issue.

@@RoseSharon7777 Actually, Sandra is correct bibically, the context of the parable is that the "many" are "all," all those in His kingdom were called. Also, it is not a small detail, that at the beginning of the parable the call is into the "kingdom of *HEAVEN."* The parable is not about discipleship, or rewards, or service, but about having Jesus: that is having Jesus's righteousness, the right garment, which can only be obtained by grace alone, thru faith alone, in Christ alone, and not of any of our works or perseverance in any way. Salvation is in Jesus alone and what He did: if one believes this glorious gospel of grace, he or she is saved and given everlasting life and nothing can take you, not even yourself, out of Jesus or the Father's hand. Everlasting life is everlasting life.
And I (Jesus), if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw (call, universal invitation) *ALL* unto me.

The man that was cast out did not have the clothes of Righteousness on, he was not washed by the water of the word. This means he lived by his standards, NOT GODS. We are to live with GOD for eternity in HIS KINGDOM, working in works of HIS choosing. If we are not united into ONE with /in HIM, forever, we will be not chosen. We need HIS calling for this to come to pass. Those who now are not called or never hear about JESUS will be raised up to physical life for their time to be called and chosen

Romans teaches the chosen were from before the world was made-as a gift to Christ-yes God invites everyone-cause the chosen still have to be regenerated and follow Him.This is taught in John-ephesians-timothy and more-Calvinism is only gospel i know that teaches it and the Bible backs it up.
