Comment from the Nord Forum: The TT515A’s are a game-changer. I’m genuinely impressed with their sound quality-clear, detailed, and uncompressed. As a pianist, I’ve struggled to find a PA speaker that handles piano transients well, but these do it perfectly. At $2,000 each, they’re an amazing value!
100 to 150 as a dj is unheard of now a days. I made that in the 80’s lol. Totally different pay scale for experienced djs. Good review and probably good for 50 to 75 ppl…
Great video as always will. I have tested two rcf hdl6 with this SVS sub and other subs with good results even if people claim those rcf are for array systems. Sounded good various shows I did
Must have sounded great! Have you ever paired RCF with your Bose Pro32? Best of both worlds. RCF best in class high end/Bose smooth Hifi midrange with 180 room filling Bose Magic!
I still have my eye on that TT515! I’ve been enjoying your informative videos. Thanks, Bill. So, I’m a keyboardist (left hand bass split with piano) and singer, performing jazz swing, bossa nova, and singing Sinatra standards. Just one of these would be perfect for the intimate gigs I do for country clubs, wineries, hotels, etc. I do have two RCF J8s for when I need that bump in a bigger room for say Dueling Pianos or a large wedding gig. They do great. Regarding the TT515, in your opinion, how would piano, an acoustic bass, and vocals sound thru just one of these? Thanks for any input! -Bobby
Not sure about acoustic bass, vocals, and piano run through a single TT515? With dual 5" woofers you are going to be disappointed with the bass response for the acoustic bass. TT515 is not full range, really needs a subwoofer for that application. For just keyboards the RCF TT line is highly rated on the Nord Forum. @@WWeiss-nv5vz Thanks! Yes, I’m familiar with that Nord/RCF thread. Maybe the TT08 would be better choice, I just like that TT515 form factor and it’s wider 100 degree dispersion. Also thought this would be great for “softer entertainment” venues where clarity of ‘some’ bass coming out, not worried about the thump, whilst the main thump coming from source, my keyboard amp on floor behind me, so it’s not too over bearing but still sounds ‘live’. So this would be great for just vocals and piano, for sure. Thanks for your input, Bill!
I wouldn't spend an extra $700 for the TT08. Almost same specs:128dB vs 127dB for 515. TT515 has better dispersion as you mentioned. I A/B ed the TT515 next to my TT10 and they sounded exactly the same. I was expecting audible better bass from the 10" but it wasn't noticeable! TT10 pull ahead with 130dB+ headroom, but that doesn't sound like your application. Having a keyboard amp on the floor changes everything. For just piano/vocal clarity I think you will be very satisfied.@adourymusic5476
I never tried it, but I believe this bag should hold the SVS 3000 Micro. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BY2QZFGM/ref=ox_sc_saved_image_4?smid=A2AFHGCIAC5WKS&th=1
Wrong subwoofer. It's like having a tractor 🚜 running on domestic wheels. That subwoofer does very low bass, which is good but efficiency maybe 91dB/1w and even lower for low bass. In comparison to 99dB/1w for those real commerical speakers. Please use domestic speakers at home. Please use commerical speakers for outdoor use. Domestic equipment doesn't need to be 127dB. It's a big mismatch! You can't have best of both worlds. You can have any 2, SPL or SQL or SQ or low bass or portability. These home audio subwoofers actually only do rumble. Because their main aim in hi-fi is to blend with 9.1.6+. I own 16 channel processor. I have heard them against the JBL EON 715. The 715 was SPL wise better. But SQ wise these are better. Please don't mix SQ domestic equipment and SPL equipment. I highly recommend you some DIY equipment instead. You can get some affordable transducers and make your own SPL speakers.
I agree with everything you say except you didn't hear the most important part of the video-the lightest portable sub/top available. The Eon715 top is 37Lbs. RCF TT515 22Lbs. You are correct this sub won't perform much past 91dB, but again you didn't hear, I said for very small indoor spaces no bigger than a den. I have a JBL Eon18" 90lbs sub for what you are talking about. The SVS is 22 lbs. Do you know of a live sound sub in this weight range? Again agree, 127dB in the home is crazy but this speaker sounds excellent at 85dB in a small restaurant and then I can move it outside for a reception of 75+ people in the wind where you will need all of those dB's! This is a modular set up that can be used in different playing situations. You are reading the "rule book" that says you can't mix Hi-fi with PA gear. Only thing is I can almost guarantee you have never heard this particular combination?

I know got this idea from you-many thanks!
