Ambitious is the perfect way to describe Moonchild. They had almost no money, but they didn't let that slow them down. With crazy acting, a werewolf costume straight out of K-Mart, and a grandma/bounty hunter, Moonchild is a ton of fun.

1:33 Instead of the "Fast and Furious" it's the "Maintaining the Speed Limit and Mildly Annoyed."
haha
"cautious and content"might also be a good title instead of fast and furious.

A werewolf shapeshifter? thats such a Lycan Trope!
This comment is so[good] bad, I may need to moon you or claw my eyes out.
Regardless, it gets a silver medal.
😜
🤘🏼✌🏼
🍻 haha
Lol... very drôle!
I both salute and resent you for such a grand pun that I failed to come up with. Well done!
"It looks like the apocalypse, but its just their hometown" had me almost choke on my drink lol
Haha, that city was looking rough.
"They're playing football but they are swinging for a homerun." 😂😂😂. Killed me. Going to have to steal that one. Keep up the good work fellas. 💪🤣
Thanks!
Another great Jason Brant quote!
Stealing a genuinely funny thing that Jason came up with? I'm sure that won't trigger him *at all.* 😁
You're not, by chance, a 7 foot tall 120 lb. Black guy, are you? 😆
Yea but what happened after the first minute?
These guys are brilliant. Kinda like Seinfeld. but not
I love that it’s not even the worst werewolf movie you’ve seen just this month
Been a helluva month.
For anyone who wants to know Moonchild was filmed in Kansas City, Missouri which is the hometown of the movie's director Todd Sheets.
Thanks!
Camw here to say THIS
It's called Subtropolis. It's the weirdest business development of all time lol 55,000,000 square feet of underground tunnels.
@@ScooterMakGavin Is this where Day of the Dead was filmed? It looks very familiar.
@@erntaku it’s reminds me off day of the dead 👍
You don't need money, just a dream and friends willing to hurt themselves.
And a $50 Harbor Freight gift card. Duct tape isn't free.
It worked for Mark Swetland in Blood and Steel.
Friends willing to hurt themselves for you are invaluable. If you have friends like that don't lose them.
So true 🤣
The director, Todd Sheets, made a whole bunch of SOVs in the 90s and early 2000s. He’s still making movies. I would highly recommend the Zombie Bloodbath trilogy and Bonehill Road (another werewolf movie of his)
I'll check them out. Thanks!
@@JasonBrant of course! Rock on! I love your channel’s content!
Wasn't he the guy that made "Prehistoric Bimbos in Armageddon City"?
@@s3.14dervision I'm pretty sure, yeah. :)
@@s3.14dervision that’s one of those films with multiple titles, my copy says sex and the city
Whenever you hear the word "ambitious" as a description, you know your in for a treat.
Good point!
Newspapers used to have a special thesaurus for the Obituaries. "Ambitious" is what you write when the family says the person was a constant failure. Like how "loved to travel" means homeless hobo, or "free spirited" means Ford Escort.
I need to start adding that word to my resume.
Still 100% Brian, that was definitely a CHEVY BRONCO.
Paused and came to the comments to find this.
50/50, he could've said Ford Blazer.😂
😒
It's long lost sequel to the "Wolf of the Wall Street". Thus the wolves and finances theme.
Ahh, that makes sense.
Joke aside this honestly has a rewatch quality wolf of wall street doesn't and that's lovely.
Goddammit! You beat me to it!🤣
14:15 I KNEW IT!!!! This whole movie is a Saab story!!!
haha
lol
@@JasonBrantAsk the resident car genius why he didn’t know Ford made the Bronco.
@@spocko2181I think OJ made people develop a blind spot about that vehicle.
@@Psycho-SsnakeLol, haha!!
They pulled all stops, committed to the project 100%, then cast someone's grandmother!! Really good stuff.

Almost spit out my coffee with "I think Talon shit himself too" 😂
He was going for the authentic look 🤣
when you borrowed all the cars for the chase so you can’t damage any of them…
or your REAL daily-drivers
Borrowed from parents I guess.
For some reason, I thought they were going to crash one of them.
"Dude, that's a _bad_ costume!"
"Which one?"
"Yep."
"Is that the Shredder?" Not even 60 seconds in and I'm laughing.
Shredder, grandma, and duct tape robot.
Hey Jason. Been watching for years now. Just wanted to say how much fun it is to watch these movies with you. Hrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!
Thanks so much!
Imagine if this Todd Sheets guy was given a big time budget to make a movie. I bet that movie would be better than any of the current crap that Hollywood is pooping out these days.
Even the worst movie on So Bad Its Good is better than anything Hollywood is crapping out.
From Dave drinking Jason's beer all up to 'Essential America' is just comedy gold. 🤣🙌
That beer thief...
Car expert Brian with the great catch. That was a rare Chevy Bronco
My grandpa had a Chevy Bronco II. It was amazing
"Shot on video?? YES!!"
- Brian, probably.
🤣
You guys seriously underestimated the budget.
I think it was much much higher than $8. I’d say $108.
$20 for that car chase scene
$20 for renting that amazing location
$30 for that incredible morph effect
$30 for the fabulous werewolf costume
$8 for the dick hat
Damn, I didn't realize they were throwing so much money around.
@@JasonBrant I thought it’s easy to tell by the sheer lushness of the production 💍💎💰
You forgot $1.25 for "Satan's" makeup and $2 for duct tape.
Observatory?
No...a phallic shaped building to go with her hat.
4:52 "I'm ready for my closeup Mr. Demille."
🤣
"That's a CHEVY Bronco."
- Brian. Car Expert.
1:13 look at the size of that smile, dude was PROUD of himself for that line
Who would have thought that a sultry bounty hunter grandma would wind up being my favorite character in this movie?
Step 1 - Werewolf Step 2 and Step 3 - ????? Step 4 - Profit!! Seems Legit!
You forgot to mention that at about the 22 minute mark it turned into bring your kid to work day on the set, as the evil villain is walking around with what I can only guess is his son.
It looks to me like this was filmed at a decommissioned government bunker. There are a few of them from cold war era. They are massive and you can tour some of them.
0:01 THE LINE-UP! 🍻🍻🍺

'It's TONER!' 'It's EPSON!' No, dudes: it's KINKO'S 😉😉
great video, more of that please! also i love that jason's superpower is nailing a person's height just by picturing them in his head and brian's superpower is to never be able to tell you the make, model or colour of a car that he is staring at, it's a good balance. thanks for another great video
You gotta love these ambitious movies with the budget of a ham sandwich! 😅
I'd rather watch a a $100 movie where everybody try their best to make something from nothing than a $100 million movie where they had everything but gave zero f*cks
1:47 I’ll give this movie an SBIG just for having my college car, a Dodge Omni, in a car chase.
In defense of the last film, that budget went to hiring strippers
As it should.
13:04 “ a movie that’s only just kind of shit! It’s been so long”
“Buffalo Bill’s body lotion” 😂
7am in Alaska, coffee and dabs ready to go, LET'S DO THIS!!!
Don't know this one, lead on!!!
ON WIT DA FUN
I hadn't heard of it either.
Let's do this indeed!
3:28
Are we gonna talk about how that looks almost *EXACTLY* like Jason if he had more hair and less glasses? 🙃😆😂
That cool filming location has to be an underground storage facility, like the one they used in Romero’s Day of the Dead
10:01 It looks like the underground storage facility in Kansas City, Missouri. Miles of tunnels that tractor trailer trucks drive to shipping & receiving docks underground! The facility goes 3 miles underground. A bit nerving the 1st time down! 😂
It is
Subtropolis!
Dave getting caught drinking the beer was so college level stupid funny i loved it
The outfits in this movie are amazing, it's like they brought in John Crackhead off the street to handle costume design. Lost it when they brought in Grandma dressed up like Attila the Hun.
The sound effect of the tires screeching as the car pulls into frame at 3 mph had me dying 🤣🤣🤣
It's amazing what decent lighting, the ability to focus the camera and distinctive-looking characters does for a movie. I mean, it's still bad, but an effort was made.
8:28 When your werewolf teeth come with a cyonide pill just in case, but it has lost all of its potency, and there is no way out.
Why do I want to shout to that girl with the white hood on: "do the truffle shuffle!" 😅
8:12 Gold from Brian as always.
For a budget of seven dollars, they got car chases, pyro, stunts, fights, a couple neat locations, not the worst werewolf suit.... that was pretty amazing.
These movies are always as goofy as a football bat. And yall are the crew to watch them with lol. Thanks guys! I know you've been at it while but this channel is just getting started. People have such a goldmine to binge if they haven't found yall yet. Love from Kentucky guys and gals.
This is crazy! Watching this like is that my hometown?? There is some thats shot in Park University in Kansas City Mo. The admin building is built into the ground and has actual natural rock walls. My mom graduated from there. And the bigger caves are these weird underground tunnels where they actually had businesses. It's called Subtropolis and it's HUGE 55,000,000 square feet. I've played paintball in those tunnels 😂
Jumping into a moving vehicle is harder than it looks, especially when done while carrying a PB&J.
The 'star' of this looks like if discount Brad Dourif and discount Steve Buscemi had a kid.
Did Brian say that was a, “Chevy Bronco”? Both Ford and Chevy guys are getting out their pitch forks and lighting their torches.
Also, I’m starting to think he doesn’t see the humor in his Mustang Ferrari shirt.
10:44 This lady reminds me of a cross between the old lady from Birdemic, and Neil Breen explaining literally anything.
I am shocked that a movie that looks like *this* has effects so convincingly gruesome you can't show us. Well done Moonchild!
Jason, a week or 2 ago, you posted a poll asking for our favorite movies to see you do, and I didn't really see any options that fit my opinion. But this movie fits mine exactly, and I think i'd call it "bad but punches above it's weight class"
My friend and I used to call those Ford Escort seatbelts "semi-automatic seatbelts" since only the shoulder strap was automated; you still had to manually buckle the lap belt.
Bless you guys. You help me come down from my panic attacks. I appreciate you more than you know! The laughter is a cure!
That description alone is a must watch
And that's a tame description for this movie.
Great way to spend Canada Day weekend up here. Cheers guys!❤
Watching this make me wish i watched these bad movies if my dad was still live
OMG that BF2042 Grandma reference was sooo unexpected & HILARIOUS
Thanks!
My favorite character in this is "Special Samurai"! 🤣🤣🤣
You should really watch Wherewolf with Richard Lynch 😂that one is totally so bad it’s good!
I'm glad Satan only has $8. The forces of good are looking strong!
I think at this point Benjamin Ross is the unofficial sixth member of your group
56 seconds in and this movie has fantastic dialogue. Elementary drama teachers are left in awe
As a leading financial analyst I can confirm that the first stage to fiscal dominance is indeed Werewolves.
It’s probably an underground limestone mine. I’ve worked in a few that would build a shop and offices on the first level.
It looked so cool.
@@JasonBrantI spent 13 years working in quarries and mines. I always thought they would have made a great post apocalyptic setting.
Some of the locations looked like under offices and storage. Sometimes if the water situation isn’t bad they’ll turn old underground mines into offices storage and factories. There’s a facility owned by the Hunt family that extends under an amusement park.
According to Dave, every word that starts with a "T" means exactly the same thing... and I 100% agree with him. (28:07)
Great video as always, fellas!
Confused look on your grandma's face when she walks in on this : 7:30 - 7:32.
Phase 1: steal the underpants
Phase 2: ……
Phase 3: profit! See? It all makes sense.
A "Chevy Bronco"? Brian's slipping on the car ID 😆
Looks like a legit soon to be ghost town, which makes it pretty eerie yet awesome!
A gas mask is great cover when you're in a bad flick. It's something that all actors, actresses in a Neil Breen pic would be so lucky to have.
It also helps when using the same actors for different roles
It's Kansas City. They shot a lot of the stuff in the West Bottoms it looks like, an industrial area that's mostly trains and warehouses. I thought it looked familiar until I found the original and that helicopter shot was downtown KC. I guess my hometown looked pretty rough in the early '90s.
Dang, you guys watched a Todd Sheets movie. The guy is a Kansas City legend. There is A LOT more from him to look out for. I don't recognize the locations, aside from the caves, but before downtown was renovated a couple decades ago, there were some gnarly, run down buildings and neighborhoods like this.
10:58 Brings new meaning to The Wolf of Wall Street.
The pyro guy got paid...in mozzorella sticks is my new favorite measurment of value.
Nice!! I'll have something to watch during these storms that are passing through today and tonight!! Thanks for the great content this is my favorite channel!! After watching this I'm going on a SBIG marathon. Best to all of you shout out from NJ!!📼📼🍻🍻🤘🤘
After just watching Battlefield Friends, i about lost it when you did that Falck shout out 😂
Step one, werewolf. Step two, profit.
Even underwear gnomes have more steps.
Duct tape is such a versatile tool. I’ve made a ton of costumes with it.
7:17 Lord DuctTape... seriously guys this reminds me of watching Dr Who in the 1970s on a Saturday as a boy growing up in Scotland...obviously without Tom Baker's brilliant acting. That Duct Tape monster is straight out of the 1978 BBC Costume Department!.
I'm pretty sure the underground facility is the "Bussen Underground Warehouse" located in Missouri. I recognized the skyline of Kansas City in the movie. I'd seen that facility in other videos. I'd leave a link to Bussen but TH-cam doesn't allow links in comments.
Congrats on breaking 100k subs guys! And what better way to celebrate than realize your overton window for shitty movies has shifted. No going back, now. Sifu would be proud.
It’s a ford tempo !!!!!!!! 😂😂😂
First you get the werewolves!
then you get the money!
then you get the power!
What i got from watching this episode is that Dave wanted mozzarella sticks at the time of filming 😄
Be fair now, this movie had lighting, pyro, a car chase, decent quality VHS.... it's every bit of a $300 movie or else I'm a Chinese jet pilot
“We’ll film it in Pittsburgh, we’ll be fine.”
Don’t you dare beseech the Burgh Brian!
I love it when the three of you are doing the reviews. This movie should be so, _so_ much worse than it is. If they had a couple decent mics, the production value would be upped by like 50%. The locations and costumes are great (for the budget), and the acting isn't nearly as bad as most of the movies on this channel. Lycan Colony in particular has its own circle in hell. It is such punishment to watch.
I swear to god I've seen Ursula somewhere else ... ... I need to go look her up.
Those looks like the caves in Missouri. There is natural temp control storage there, i have delivered cheese for storage in those caves countless times.
Thats Subtropolis in Kansas City. The limestone caves.
I think those scenes in the cave are part of an underground distribution facility in that area.
You guys brought up Chyna, but the tall, eloquent speaking, seemingly main villain looks quite a bit like Glenn Jacobs: AKA Kane in his earlier years when he was fake Diesel and in his evil dentist gimmick I think named Dwight Yankem.
