      @@shalbec3232 if they are not from Congo tell us where they're from? I thought that
      The Democratic Republic of the Congo later became the Zaire after Mobutu Sese Seko
      Orchestrated another coup d'etat; in 1971,
      in any case Soukous originated in two Congo's and is played throughout Africa, and the world.
      there is two Congos, the DRC, and the Republic of the Congo.

      @@rtee4086 no I know they are from congo because I'm congolese like them from como Zaire aka democratic republic of congo 🇨🇩 but I never heard of langa langa you mean one of our many languages Lingala or what? I don't even know if people in congo know what that is
      And for a Jamaican you know some stuff about the two Congo as a congolese person never even though Jamaican listen to our music or even know what congo is 😊 many people in America or the world never heard of congo if you say como they ask you what that? But as soon as you say Nigeria and Ghana they know what that is
      Say both congo as similar but we are not the same country we are two different countries with different culture depending on our tribes and way of living we speak about 3 or two languages that as the same but not all our languages are the same because my country congo Kinshasa has many culture, people,dances and languages plus we were colonized by belgium who Congo Brazzaville was colonized by France
      But we have similarities and don't hate I other in fact we visit each other country back and forth
      Yes we used to be Zaïre but changed to CONGO people usually think we are the same country because both our names is congo but one thing you will still see is that even today we congolese from Congo Kinshasa the big Congo in central Africa we still consider are country zaïre in our hear and are proud to be from zaïre. And some time you will see people say zaïre or say proud to be a Z which stand for zaïre. I wish we could go back to our old name zaïre because people get confused the fact that this are two Congo it annoying but I can't blame them for being lost
      If we go back to being zaïre people won't be confused anymore 😂😂😂😂😂😂
      Anyway nice to know that there is a Jamaican who knows what Congo is and I can tell you are close to Africa don't mind my English it not our language in congo Kinshasa 🇨🇩 I see you like congo that cool because I like Jamaica too not lying for real real

    One thing for real is that congolese music represents the soul of the african music identity. It's the focal point! It all started there, then expanded to Nigeria, South Africa, Cameroon, Ivory Cost, Tanzania etc. It's not a computer generated sounds, it's raw, played with heart!

      Do you have evidence that all come from Congo? Every part of Africa has its own culture, dances and musics.
      The soul of African music is spread all over Africa and the beauty of it is the mixture of all these different souls.
      I know you are proud of your motherland Congo as everyone is of his homeland but please stop saying that Congo is the root of everything.
      You know, as a central African republic guy , I am fond of Tabu Ley , Franco, Mbilia Bel, Lutumba Simaro, Mosese Fan Fan, TBK, Pamelo.....
      But there are also Fela Kuti, Myriam Makeba, Thomas Mapfumo, Remy Ongala....and they rock

    • @josephafrika4310
      @josephafrika4310 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I know what @Ricky Mwamba meant, Congolese music comes with its own style of dancing, that when it is played everyone knows how they should distinctively dance to it. Congolese music and dance has greatly influenced the so called Afrobeat and dance that is rocking today. However, I would say that South African music is the most evolving, meaning that its creators are the most talented, changing styles/genres almost every decade, from the likes of the anti-apartheid sounds of Chaka Chaka etc to kwaito and the several sounds they have now. West Africans have exported the African music to the English speaking countries of the world after adding a few touches of their own, but the Congolese were the first to export African music internationally to Europe, particularly in France etc. And when you speak of the music that cuts across all African generations, borders, styles etc. It is none other than Congolese music, it is the "Adam and Eve" of all African music. One can speak of several African cultures having their own music and dance, which is true but still Congolese music rules over specific singled out cultural music and dance. One love.

    • @josephafrika4310
      @josephafrika4310 2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      @@PaballoMo You might have never heard of Congolese music for whatever reason, but it is by far the biggest influence of ALL commercial African music. I follow South African music and I have seen several dances there that owe there originality from Congolese dances. Many South Africans know of Congolese music which surprises me about your ignorance in regard to Congolese music! Which again surprises me that you were watching a congolese music and dance clip, since you claim to have never heard or hard any idea about, you know, Congolese music!!!!!! I guess having your own sounds like AmaPiano, Kwaito, Maskandi means you've never heard of HipHop, Country, Rock, Reggae or Dancehall!!!!!!!!!!! If truly so, then you're in the wrong crowd. To each their own, LOL. I am not even Congolese, but that music gives me a specific vibe and energy, purely African to the core.

      When I say America I am talking about the USA. A lot used to come over for colleges/universities and just stay; they marry an American or get citizenship after a long stay. They work here, make decent money or even better and create families. They have babies who have American citizenship automatically if born here. They have a large presence in the big cities where they socialize and network. Some return to Africa; some choose to stay in the States and just visit home. Other groups have large communities too like Puerto Ricans, Haitians, Vietnamese, etc. depending on what part of county you are in.

      The Congolese play real guitars and drums and what appears to be mixing is just a continuation of one song after another. Someone who appears to play the role of a DJ is just modulating the loudness of the sounds. Everything is original, using the fingers and nothing is computer generated!!
