Anna on the spot! I got the V250 AMG version of this in Vietnam. It is is way more loaded - the 2 second row seats have massage, heating, ventilation, powered foot and calf rest and powered movement. Full Maybach style seats. We also added a 17" LED TV and window curtains (sunny humid weather here) and the rear 3 rd row has the 2 seats instead - same as what you have here. Best car for the money in terms of size and volume. Only negative is I cannot drive it here in Vietnam and have a driver full time. I also toured 11 days in Switzerland and rented this for family.
A great review Anna, thank you for sharing with us. This is a very good alternative car to an SUV and arguably is more practical in many respects. That interior looks fantastic and it has the performance as well. Being a 4 wheel drive certainly should help a lot on cornering and on slippery surfaces.
I'm a big fan of Multi Purpose Vehicles and this V-class is among the best of the so called "Airport Shuttles", the earlier pre-facelift models were equipped with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed automatic transmission whilst the later models are now linked to an automatic gearbox with nine cogs in the bellhousing.
Brilliant review Anna as always. That V Class is quite amazing and I never thought I would say that. That interior looks stunning and elegant especially for the type of vehicle it is. Mercedes Benz seem to think of everything that the customer would want or potential problems and seem to overcome them or meet or over meet the customer needs. I love that tailgate open up, you could stop at a beautiful place like a beach open the tailgate sit in the boot and have extra cover as you watch the world go by, that’s if you have the time to do that. Brilliant video, love the b roles and love the bloopers at the end. I know this is a bit early to say this but I don’t know if you doing a video next weekend, So I really hope you have an amazing Christmas and a fantastic New Year, I hope next year you have very fruitful and busy and great year Anna. It's a diesel! I'm sure Mercedes will bring volt power to their people Carriers. The cabin looks straight out of a car, unable to tell from the angles you set up your cameras. Glad I gave myself the time and attention your reviews deserve 👍🏾
Had a V300d the past 7 months. Was fun to drive, you can surprise some other cars on the Autobahn. But nethertheless, the OM642 V6 Diesel in the predecessor Viano was even nicer.

The V Class more space. I might be wrong but perhaps the V Class might be a safer option for South Africa? It's just a little humbler, if I can say that.

Yes, the V class is a vehicle I really wanted, but after reading your personal choice of the GLS, I decided to go taste drive both of them and woao, I am still stuck in terms of choices. Space wise, like you said, the V class is a champion, comfort and luxury wise, nothing could beat the GLS 580 I was offered. However I may just go for a GLS 400d, as the diesel are easier to use on long roads. I will send you a picture of it on you instagam Page. Thank you very much for your help.
