A new one won’t hold the memories like the one from Believe...I still dream of being a trainer and helping to inspire generations as Dawn inspired me
living an hour away from Seaworld (Florida) i spent a large amount of my younger childhood around the animals at the park. still being young, 15, it was heartbreaking to hear that one of the Orcas had killed that trainer and more so because even now, Seaworld has a very mystical air about it. i feel at peace there and i hope that everyone who has been there will always remember the important messages they give. The ocean is a large and magnificent place and the creatures that live in it are just as special.
I saw the Orcas in Norway in the sea and was swimming with them. They were free, happy and not abused like the orcas in Sea World. Was amazing to look them in the eyes and swim with them in their habitat.
This song makes me cry!! I miss this show so much and miss the time when the trainers were able to be in the waters! I really hope they allow them back in the tank soon doing what they love and making magical shows.
I grew up close to SeaWorld, and I am very for it. I am not against what they do, and a lot of people say they feel sorry for Tilikum because he's in captivity, but I don't feel sorry for him for THAT reason. What I feel sorry for him for is the changes that were made after Dawn's death. He's no longer handled, and chances are people closest to him are a bit tense when they are near him. Animals can sense our feelings without having to touch us, so chances are he's confused and just feels rejected at this point. I just wish we could tell him what he did and why some people are afraid of him. It's not fair to leave him alone all the time, though I know they do sometimes put him with Trua, but still, is that really enough?

You know what was amazing for me? I was swimming and snorkeling with Orcas in the sea in Norway. They were free Orcas in a great pod and searching for hering to feed and they were not in captivity. THAT was amazing.

Just a reminder that SeaWorld’s animals are taken from there natural habitat, separated from parents, transported in ways that are unnatural and cause great stress, kept in habitats that’s proportions are equal to a bathtub with a lid on it for us, abused by other whales because they are from completely different continents, forced to do unnatural tricks for our own selfish needs, underfed, exposed to extreme stress, hurt by some of the trainers and denied basic needs and nutrients that they have in the wild. Seaworld may have a nice atmosphere, but what goes on behind the scenes genuinely brings a tear to the eye. These are not toys for our amusement. These are wild animals, that belong in the wild. We can’t understand them, we can’t be their friends, they won’t love us because they are wild animals. And they will kill if they are abused for a lifetime.
