Oh my goodness, Tabitha. I'm not even a minute in and I'm already crying with you and want to give you the biggest hug! You guys did SO much the days before this, so I'm not surprised at all that you were in pain. Mike and I just did nearly 10 miles in one day at Universal, and an average day at Disney is 6-8 miles... plus all that standing around. It's brutal on your feet. I'm proud that you made it all the way through Animal Kingdom! I know this was a really hard experience for you, but you accomplished so much and you should be proud.
I totally understand how heartbreaking it can be, but I hope you know that you still accomplished something HUGE. Half marathon is an arbitrary number, you gave it your all and THAT'S what matters!

My daughter did the 13.1 miles race and I did the 5K Princess Run this past weekend with a herniated disks and sciatic nerve pain. My daughter almost got swept but she made it. She had to run to the bathroom 5 times, tummy issues, she was crying as well. Things happens you all have to be proud of yourselves.
Oh, sorry for your injury, happens to❤ many. Only time heals, you bravely faced the challenge.
