As someone who loves space, I have to say that "Big Bang and Big Crunch" and "Children of Amaterasu" are the two most badass and beautiful spellcards I've ever seen. Nice job. :D
OH MY GOD!?!?!? ...Forget Eirin-- *YOU* are a genius!!! IN's spellcards have always stood out to me as really clinching the essence of danmaku in illustrating a clear image/concept/event in pure light form, like Kaguya's requests, and Eirin's genealogy charts. So, so, so clear and evocative. ...Somehow, this took that and cranked it up like twelve notches further??? Getting to "Tunguska Impact," I was like OH WOW, this is so gorgeous and cool and evocative, not to mention such a relevant and clever idea to work with, this is surely going to be the coolest thing in this video. ...I can't believe it wasn't. Then I thought the same about "Big Bang." AND I CAN'T BELIEVE IT WASN'T!? I cannot believe how many levels of absolutely amazing this went through before ending up at THAT unbelievable finale, oh my god!?!? Okay, I also love the nonspell arrow showers so much, especially the one at 2:23 because not only can I like clearly see Eirin's shooting those off her bow at freaking light-speed but the way they fall almost entrances me into believing that all shooting stars seen from earth are actually the trails of this woman's archery. Also, "Induced Apoptosis" is SO terrifically clever-- the look, sound, concept, and mechanic all make an impeccable piece of pharmaceutical art that, like everything else in here, feels perfectly canon-worthy and perfectly characteristic for Eirin and perfectly perfect and pfigdfggdffgd??? Just??? Holy crap. OTL Absolutely incredible job. I keep rewinding and wanting to watch parts again and again so I should probably just download it now. Oh my god.
Thank you! uwu I'm glad you liked the concept behind the first spell. I was struggling to come up with a fitting name for that one for quite some time. My intention with the spell is to have Eirin destroying cancer cells, which keep on dividing as she causes them to destroy themselves with her lasers, and that much was clear in my earlier names for the spell--however, they just didn't quite sound Eirin-ish (one earlier name was "Tumor Destroyer"--not at all elegant enough for the great Lunarian sage if you ask me). So I'm glad the intention was still clear. :D And yeah, aesthetic was quite a big goal of mine this time around. Big Bang was the first spell I made out of all these patterns in fact--I was originally going to try to create a 3-dimensional-looking sphere like in Marine Benefit, but ended up with a crazy mathematical equation that creates a new pattern each time a new "Big Bang" forms and stuck with that. Good to hear you liked it!
I don't know if people tell you enough, but you make some freaking amazing scripts. I've seen many good scripts, but you've masterfully made an incredibly complex and very fitting boss fight for Eirin. For that, I bow to you. The last spell blew me away haha. The only minor complaint I can think of is that in the Big Bang spell the blue stars are very hard to see with that background. On lunatic that's pretty brutal. But, really, you make up for it with that awesome background effect. Good job on that, looking forward to whatever you do next.
Thank you! It means a lot to hear people say that. And I was considering making the background for the Big Bang spell a bit darker to try to remedy that, but for the most part I felt that it didn't detract too much since I could still see the stars quite easily (though I usually keep my screen brightness down pretty low), and it actually made the pattern quite pretty by making some of the stars seemingly "glow." If it's too problematic though, I could easily make an update and darken the image in Photoshop to make it easier to see
**dies because this is the most beautiful goddamn thing I have seen since Reimu Vs Yuyuko by minusT** Seriously, this is amazing… I've only recently discovered this channel, and I have to say, you might be the best Danmakufu scripter I have seen. Each and every single script I've seen has either been hilarious and fun, silly and creative, incredibly gorgeous, or a mixture of them all. And this script is no exception. Just when I think, "There's no way he can top this, look at this its amazing oh my ZUN.", you assault my eyeballs with even more gorgeous danmaku. They way you designed these spellcards was absolutely fantastic. They look amazing, they feel amazing, they even SOUND amazing! And of course, they are extremely in character with Eirin, who's limitless intellect influences even her danmaku. Then that finale happened, and my jaw dropped in total awe. The very planets, and the SUN, being used by the Brain of the Moon in a danmaku battle throughout the heavens. Just…ohmyfreakinggod. Liked, Favorited, Subscribed, Downloaded. You have a real talent in using Damakufu to its fullest potential, and I'm holding onto the edge of my seat waiting for more scripts from you. **Embarrassing Fangirl Comment Over**
This is EASILY the best danmakufu script I've seen in a long, long time! Tunguska Impact was just... yeah, I was hooked on this script since then. And the Solar System spell card is just so inventive, it's just amazing!
Holy shit... this is BADASS!!! All of the spells were simply breathtaking, especially that last one! And I simply loved the detail you went into explaining the "Forced Apoptosis" spell, especially as a medical student :)
I have not seen this fantastic of an Eirin script since Trickysticks. This was so amazingly detailed, with every spell either having really cool mechanics, pretty danmaku effects, or BOTH. I liked all of the spells so much that I can't pick a favorite. What I like mechanic-wise about the survival is that you put the parts from the HUD in the corner. No other PH3 script I've ever seen did that. Absolutely fantastic. 10/10.
within your code of the Normal Mode of this script, you set the number of player lives to 1969, with the comment ("hehe, ain't I clever?"). Since there is probably no one else in the world who saw that specific line of code, i just want to tell you that, someone read it, and he gets the joke (reference to the song Voyage 1969) aaaaand thank you very much
Many years late but I had many ideas of a script/game so similar to this I cannot describe, its like we are one being. I was surprised to see this has been done before and so beautifully I've really got to hand it to you.
OH MY GOD THE SOLAR SYSTEM SURVIVAL CARD WAS INGENIOUS. FUCKING AWESOME. Literally the only spellcard I've seen that's blown me off my feet with its coolness!
I'll say, first, this is really spectacullar. And, second, read the doujinshi "The inmortal who saw the death of the universe" (two part doujinshi) of Allison Airlines. I won't spoil it for you but in there happens something you just danmakufied XD
That was an absolutely lovely read. Thank you for referring that to me! Next to Yukari (of course), Kaguya and Eirin are my favorite Touhou characters. I really enjoyed seeing someone depict what they'd be up to after the world ended, and how it was both cute *and* scientifically accurate :o *EDIT:* Is there a translation for the follow-up comic yet?! I found it on their pixiv page.
As far as i know, there are only two parts and both of them are translated. Look at "exhentai" (yeah, yeah, i know, but there are more than hentai in there).
Wow, the feels. that was a good doujin. dynasty-scans.com/chapters/the_immortal_who_saw_the_death_of_the_universe_first_part is a convenient place to read it (though it's divided into three parts instead of two) if anyone else shows up here. If anyone needs to lighten the mood a little, the hourai elixir chemical formula at the end of part 1 has a face at the bottom. See dynasty-scans.com/chapters/the_immortal_who_saw_the_death_of_the_universe_first_part#18
I love ! You're a genius ! The bullet systems of "Modern Medicine" is just wonderful. And the attack Big Bang and Big Crush is great. I love, i'm just in love ^^
Actually this script is *AMAZING* and the spell cards are just...brilliant. Actually I am thinking why does Eirin gets few love, she needs more :v But I do hated her in IN and because of that why not make a script that would make her even better? And here we are, we have it :D IT'S AMAZING!!
Best Last Word ever. The name is awesome, a reference to Shinto gods, the concept in unique, and you seem to be quite a master at spells that intensify as time passes. I'm just amazed you didn't do another "Rainbow Rave" or "Party at the Komeiji's". Then again, I'm afraid to imagine Eirin dancing. While Touhou focuses on making large patterns, your skill is more making interesting ideas for the attacks. Honestly, I thought all of the cut cards you mentioned would've been awesome too, but I think this battle is plenty long for a stage 6 boss.
You could do a joke script compilation, where the whole script is consisted 100% of joke patterns from various Characters, and it becomes like an abridged version of Touhou Danmaku All Stars (I think you know what I am talking about).
I think you should add some annotations for your comments. =) For the last spell, I like the health bars that depletes with the time elapsing, I think ZUN should think about that in future Touhou games.
Braviaggron Ahh yes, I've been meaning to add my commentary like I did back in the olden days. :) It's just that when I post these scripts, I'm usually so worn out by the time they're finally out that I just don't feel like spending the time to annotate. But now I think I'll go back and add a few notes~
So I'm guessing since you cut the whole Eirin on the Moon with the people in rockets spell you instead converted it over to what you ended up in the Hecatia battle? Glad to see you made it happen in some form! It came out much better over there!
You know, the nukes' hitboxes are broken in pre6a. When you touch them, they won't kill you. Just pointing that out. This glitch also affects your commission scripts, praise the sun, and I think this script. Anyway, as usual, you've impressed us. Amazing script here!
The Terrible Bullet Dodger Oh shi- Thanks for telling me! I just looked through all the codes and found an easy fix for this thankfully. I'll be uploading updated versions of all the scripts that feature these sun bullets later today.
AJS Alright update, I checked this script's code and it turns out that since it was made IN pre6a, I had already fixed this glitch (I copied over the sun bullet code I wrote for Praise the Sun and realized the hitboxes didn't work anymore during testing). But I've already uploaded a fixed version of Praise the Sun. Thanks again for notifying me!
That cut spellcard, the one with the moon and the humans.... Did you re-use the idea of that one for your Hecatia fight? Nonetheless, ohmygosh this stuff is glorious.
@@AJSdanmakufu Yeah, that makes sense. I don't know anything about Danmakufu or scrpiting, but I can see with these two characters that'd be a big challenge when it comes to making appropiate patterns that aren't compeltely outside your capabilities. thanks for the response :)
I really love the spellcards, but some of the non-spell seem a little bit crazy. Like the one where Erin shoots out a stream of arrows that spin around her.
I actually read the first spell card as "Western Medicine - Induced Epilepsy" I was gonna go all conspiracy nut on the comments, but I'll just retract that and say the script looks amazing. ^^;
You should have shown Lunatic :3 (You went overboard on that mode lol) I also really like the moon on the final spell: "thought that this is my full power? HAHA TOO BAD RAINBOW LAZORS"
Fun fact, each of those lasers the moon fires is aimed at the Earth. However, I underestimated just how fast the Earth and Moon were moving relative to the lasers, so almost all of them miss. Lunarians confirmed for sucky aim :P

This entire script is brilliant; just the right level of difficulty. And don't even get me started on those last 2 spells...

Does anyone have a link to the song in this one
More epic than the IN Eirin spellcards.
How do you make the playing field go fullscreen?
One minor problem, venus orbits clockwise whilst the other planets are meant to orbit the other way.
I think that's the rotation along it's own axis and not around the sun.
Should have had a spell based on the sky spiral
Or was there one?
You should have shown Lunatic :3
(You went overboard on that mode lol)

Well, when the moon is moving THAT FAST, you can't really aim well. :3
10/10, would fight Space Medic again.
So cool!!
Oh golly, I wanted to make a Danmaku fight but I do not have the resources and skill to do this. Can you help me?
I'm not really a part of the community for it, but these fights are made in a program called Danmakufu.
Hope that helps.
I know! I want to know how to make the script...
Hey! You used Mamizou's humans for that last spell!

Mercury
Venus
Earth
Mars
Ceres
Vesta
Jupiter
Saturn
Uranus
Neptune
Pluto
Haumea
MakeMake
Eris

*Where's The Minor Planet*
The second spellcard reminds me of Asriel Dreemur ._.
Duh, since Asriel is obviously inspired by Marisa
Pluto is not a planat...
Well it is but not a real one and it is not part of the solar system anymore
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Well that was the most fucking disgusting portrait of Eirin I've ever seen.
The last spellcard totally makes up for it.
Uh, I'm pretty sure that one of the planets should be moving clockwise, it's great anyway.
